More and more fights breaking out on airplanes. Why? The short answer is that wearing masks to protect against COVID-19 remains a politically divisive statement.
Nine killed by gunfire in another mass shooting.
Hateful attacks on Jews and Asians rising.
All of that happened in the last week.
Americans should be coming together in celebration of declining coronavirus infections this Memorial Day.
Instead, the bursts of public violence and hate reflect deep political division.

Most of our uniformed service members -- and most Americans -- believe in the fundamental goodness of our great country. And they want to preserve it. But fighting for what is right means first understanding the truth about what is happening.
We have the world’s most powerful military and it is an all-voluntary force. We all took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We believe in the sanctity of that oath. All of our civilian and military leaders take the same oath.
Today we are confronted with a very serious domestic enemy.

Roger Stone believes criminal charges against Donald Trump are now a certainty, and is predicting indictments will land 'by the 4th of July'.
The political dirty trickster and longtime Trump ally said the multiple criminal investigations currently swirling around Trump, members of his family and the Trump Organization would inevitably lead to charges.
'I would be shocked if they did not come forward with a fabricated indictment for bank fraud or tax fraud against the former president [Donald Trump] by Manhattan District Attorney,' Stone told Infowars host Alex Jones.
'If they want to go after the president on fabricated charges, then we will establish that this is a partisan witch hunt.'

A New Hampshire restaurateur has apologized to customers for putting prices up after the cost of basic items like oil, meat and gloves rose by as much as 300%.
Alan Natkiel, the owner of Georgia's Northside in Concord, says the price of brisket has gone up 185%, chicken breast is up 70%, and fryer oil costs have doubled in the past three months, while plastic gloves were three times as expensive as pre-pandemic prices. [SNIP] Natkiel says the surge in prices has even forced him to stop serving chicken wings as a national shortage has made them so pricey they were no longer commercially viable.

"What a narcissistic power-hungry egotist," Ayelet Waldman screeched. The hateful leftist spouse of extremist author Michael Chabon was responding to Justice Stephen Breyer's call for finding common ground.
Lefties had already been furious at Breyer for refusing to resign. And then for urging Democrats to respect the rule of law.
But this genial chat was what really made social media lefties lose their minds.
The country may be increasingly divided along partisan lines, but Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer said Friday that he remains optimistic that America's system of democracy will continue to work.
“I am basically optimistic, and I don't know how much that's justified."

In honor of LGBTQ Pride Month in June, "Blue's Clues" published a video to their YouTube channel showcasing the "Blue's Clues Pride Parade Sing-Along."
The sing-along features an animated version of drag queen Nina West, a beloved "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant from season 11, singing to the melody of "The Ants Go Marching." However here, the lyrics have been changed to be very LGBTQ inclusive. In the parade we see all types of families comprised of different animals that have two daddies, two mommies or other types of parents from the LGBTQ community.

B.J. Thomas, the vocalist who mixed the stylish sophistication of a pop crooner and the down-home soul of a country singer on songs like the 1969 smash “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head,” died Saturday in his Arlington, Texas home at the age of 78. A rep for Thomas confirmed the singer’s death. The cause of death was lung cancer, which Thomas had publicly revealed he had in March.Thomas’ multi-genre success included major hits on the adult contemporary and Christian music charts, the latter of which would earn him five Grammy Awards and two Gospel Music Association Dove awards.

School officials at a Michigan high school have reversed course and allowed the valedictorian to reference her faith in her graduation address in the wake of a letter First Liberty Institute sent to the school principal.
The legal organization that primarily defends religious liberty announced Thursday Hillsdale High School reversed its decision that blocked senior valedictorian Elizabeth Turner from making a reference to the significance of her faith in Jesus Christ in her address.
“We are grateful to school officials for acting swiftly to ensure that religious students can freely exercise their right to express their faith in a graduation speech,” said Keisha Russell, counsel for First Liberty Institute.

Police are asking for help to identify the person or people who posted a sign in a fast-food drive-through saying the business "will reserve the right to refuse service to white people."
The sign was posted at the Popeyes located at 6475 Ronald Reagan Drive in Lake Saint Louis. The Lake Saint Louis Police Department says several drive-through menus have also been vandalized with spray paint earlier this month.
A photo of the sign quickly spread through social media and on Wednesday the restaurant closed, but people were reportedly still going through the line to see the viral sign.

Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot is now on the receiving end of a lawsuit following backlash for her declaration that she would only give interviews to journalists of color.
Lightfoot, who assumed office in May 2019, announced last Tuesday that she would only grant one-on-one interviews to 'black and brown' reporters to mark her two-year anniversary in office.
Her announcement about the temporary policy sparked anger from reporters of all colors, but Lightfoot doubled down on her decision the next day, insisting it was part of her lifelong battle for diversity and inclusion.
