There was much fake news about the tech and finance leaders traveling with President Trump to China. Moments ago, President Trump corrects the record:
TRUTH SOCIAL – “CNBC incorrectly reported that the Great Jensen Huang, of Nvidia, was not invited to the incredible gathering of the World’s Greatest Businessmen/women proudly going to China. In actuality, Jensen is currently on Air Force One and, unless I ask him to leave, which is highly unlikely, CNBC’s reporting is incorrect or, as they say in politics, FAKE NEWS!

The dapper young democrat guy from CNBC announced with great fanfare that Huang (who is Chinese) had nor been invited but Elon Musk was. President Trump never lets digs pass by.

I voted for Donald Trump three times. And I was an avid MAGA supporter. Until gradually, and then all at once, I saw that he is a con man. I kept making excuses for all his many broken promises – $2000 back for everyone from the IRS, $1700 back for everyone as a tariff reward –until the weight of all my unacknowledged suspicions broke my desperate justifications.. I saw that I had been like the abused wife who keeps making excuses for the beatings. Until she has had enough.
I realize that what I have said will be dismissed with anger, or with ridicule, by 90% of the posters here. At one time I was part of that group, and would have done so myself. But I write now for the 10% who, like me at one point, need confirmation of their suspicions.
I remain hopeful. MAGA showed that as we approach the 250th anniversary of this great country, there legions of patriots who love America, and who will one day prevail over the politicians in the House and the Senate who "serve" only to acquire more and more money and power.
One day, the tens of millions of us will regain the reins and guide this country in the inspiring directions the Founders initiated.

You do realize, #4, that Trump's wishes depend on other branches of government, cooperating.
Years ago, I was volunteering at a revival meeting, when a man came out. He complained loudly, to all the volunteers, that he had prayed, and given offerings, but his wife hadn't returned nor had he gotten his old job back. God was a fake!!
My father promised me a certain toy when I was young, but I never got it, for a variety of reasons beyond his control.
Life is like that. You've drunk the koolaide of materialism. Take a second look at what he's accomplished despite all of Washington DC arrayed against him. The Deep State will never stop trying to destroy him and us. But don't Blame Trump for how effectively the Deep State has so far blocked what he intended.

#4 - Yes, President Trump sometimes gets out over his skis a bit but it's not because he is being duplicitous, but that he really wants to help the average American. Unfortunately, the Dems in Congress (both houses) and some Republicans do not want to do right by the American People and will not cooperate with him. Au contraire to the Dems and their legacy media allies, Trump is not a dictator and cannot just wave his hand and make it happen. And if your support of President Trump cannot be sustained because you didn't get a $2000 check from your fellow taxpayer. Well, adios then.

#7, I am a deeply religious man. I am single and celibate. Retired, I pray and meditate throughout the day and night.
I have no agenda. My post, above, is simply my honest attempt to speak to those who have seen through Trump, but have not had the strength to quite admitted to themselves.

#4/#8, calling someone a ‘con man’ is a strong and morally loaded judgment. Coming from someone who emphasizes prayer, reflection, and humility (I presume?), it’s a bit striking. I would have expected a more restrained or specific critique rather than a categorical label based on vague accusations that are not directly attributable to what you perceive as Trump's failures.

#9, yes, it is a strong term. Every time I write it, I regret having to use it. But I don't know another term that is less harsh, but still describes his behavior.
A most recent example is the ballroom. He said it would be funded completely by private donations. And now that the project is underway, he just happens to realize that he needs $1 billion more. $1 billion of taxpayer money.
Taxpayers who desperately need healthcare. Which as a candidate he promised he would secure in the first week of his presidency..
He promises healthcare, delivers a ball room. Or has he likes to put it, a BIG BEAUTIFUL BALLROOM!
I don't know what else to call him.

#4, in toto, Your expectations of free money undercut your opinion of President Trump. Others have said it well, but I will add that he is not a king; he cannot order Congress to cut the checks for you. I'm taking you at your word about who you are, but it sounds a little bit immature. With the internet, ya just never know. You could be a 14y/o tolling. I apologize for getting it wrong, but it's just my opinion. The President has done an amazing job in a short time. The ballroom is needed; I think it's tax money well spent. The arch is beautiful, and beautifying our country is another worthy cause to support. (I wish he would let us contribute to it's building) I'm not 100% please with President Trump, but I'd have to go back to Washington to find a President I liked better.

$400 million is the figure for the cost of the ballroom. Trump says he has the $400 million from private donations and he does not need any additional money for the ballroom. Trump believes the security features designed into the ballroom are sufficient. Clearly more secure than a Rose Garden complete with Porta Potties. The billion was proposed by GOP Senators for "additional security".
There is a breakdown available and of the billion, 778 million is proposed for improving Secret Service training. Which seems like something that is needed even without the ballroom. Maybe send the entire SS to Parris Island followed with Recon training and then buds with the toughest instructors available.
The rest is earmarked for a screening space for visitors and additional hardening of the east wing spaces around the ballroom benefiting the rest of the complex.
Feels like some erstwhile Trump supporters currently get all their news from Morning Joe and Rachel Maddow. With Trump it is necessary to go beyond the "gotcha" garbage. Even from so-called allies.

@#4 - I don't believe you voted for Trump. Having said that, would you like to go back to Biden/Harris and Obama/Hillary. Would we be better off with those criminal clowns at the helm?
