Seoul, South Korea — South Korea’s highest court has removed embattled President Yoon Suk Yeol from office, ending months of uncertainty and legal wrangling after he briefly declared martial law in December and plunged the nation into political turmoil.
The court’s decision on Friday marks Yoon’s formal dismissal from the presidency after parliament voted to impeach him late last year. His removal takes effect immediately, meaning he must now leave the presidential residence, and will trigger an election to replace him.
It’s a remarkable fall from grace for the former prosecutor-turned-politician, who rose to prominence for his role in the impeachment and imprisonment of another president years

President Donald Trump’s deportations may give a 17 percent wage gain to American construction workers, according to the New York Times.
The wage gain is predicted by a New York Times article that described how cheap migrant labor helped a builder prepare a $2.65 million home for sale to wealthy Americans.
Without immigrant workers, Mr. Anderson’s labor costs could jump by 17 percent, adding $116,000 to his budget, the article lamented:
A shock to the labor market by a loss of workers through deportation and the fear of deportation could potentially drive up wages

Rob Kaffl, the general manager for marketing, sales, and service at Ford, revealed Ford’s aggressive price move as President Donald Trump announced 25-percent tariffs on imported vehicles and certain auto parts, which will be collected starting on Thursday, as Breitbart News reported.

It has taken a long time but some modicum of common sense seems to be making its way back into San Francisco. It started when the city ousted woke DA Chesa Boudin and continued when it elected a slightly more moderate Mayor in Daniel Lurie. Yesterday, Mayor Lurie took a step that is long overdue. He announced the city would end the free distribution of drug paraphernalia for addicts, at least not without some counseling.
Mayor Daniel Lurie today announced a major policy shift in San Francisco’s response to the fentanyl crisis, focused on getting people off the streets and quickly into treatment and care. Under new guidelines issued

The shrinking Department of Education just issues a notice to state leaders across the country reminding them that public schools are dependent on federal funds and those funds are dependent on compliance with civil rights law, specifically the elimination of DEI programs.
As a condition for receiving federal money, the Trump administration is ordering K-12 schools to certify that they are following federal civil rights laws and eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion practices...
“Federal financial assistance is a privilege, not a right,” Craig Trainor, acting assistant secretary for civil rights, said in a statement. He said many schools have flouted their legal obligations, “including by using DEI programs to

FRANKFURT, Germany U.S. President Donald Trump’s sweeping new tariffs on American imports shocked governments and investors around the world, swiftly spurring both threats of retaliation and calls for negotiation as industries scrambled and global stocks tumbled. China accused the U.S. of “bullying” and the European Union said it was ready to mount “robust” countermeasures, with French officials suggesting taxes to hit U.S. tech giants.
Yet others, like the United Kingdom and Japan, expressed hope for a deal with Trump and refrained from talk of retaliation against the world’s biggest economy, fearing that slapping their own tariffs on American goods will only make things worse.

The Trump administration on Wednesday released its long-awaited formula for calculating the new reciprocal tariffs unveiled in the Rose Garden, offering a clearer picture of how the United States intends to address persistent trade imbalances.
According to a statement from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the tariffs are calculated using a straightforward formula based on each country’s goods trade surplus with the United States. Specifically, the method divides a country’s trade surplus by its total exports to the U.S., then applies a 50 percent discount to the resulting percentage.
For example, China exported $438 billion in goods

NEW YORK — Financial markets around the world are reeling Thursday following President Donald Trump’s latest and most severe volley of tariffs, and the U.S. stock market may be taking the worst of it.
The S&P 500 was down 4% in morning trading, worse than the drops for other major stock markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1,520 points, or 3.6%, as of 10:10 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 4.0% lower.
Little was spared as fear flared globally about the potentially toxic mix of higher inflation and weakening economic growth that tariffs can create.

LOS ANGELES, California — Consumers in Los Angeles County were shocked Tuesday as a new quarter-percent sales tax, ostensibly to raise funds for services for the homeless, went into effect following a referendum in November.
L.A. voters passed Measure A, which replaced and increased an earlier county-wide sales tax for the homeless. That tax, passed a decade ago, failed to stem the growth of the homeless population and may even have encouraged it.
As Breitbart News reported in November:
The UK Sun noted the effect of the tax on consumers’ pocketbooks:
The sales tax went up from 9.5% to 9.75% to increase funding to prevent homelessness.

Women’s fencer Stephanie Turner refused a match against a transgender opponent at the Cherry Blossom Open in Maryland this past weekend, opting to take a knee instead.
When Turner learned that she would be facing off against transgender fencer Redmond Sullivan, she wanted her protest to be caught on video and decided to take a knee just before the match began. She had already participated in warmups and competed in four bouts that day. Take a look: Speaking with Fox News, Turner said USA Fencing has failed to listen to women’s views on trans athletes participating in their sport.

There are two stories here. Once is the ongoing wave of vandalism and domestic terrorism by left-wing nutjobs and the other is the silence of Democrats. Neither of these stories is really breaking news at this point, but I haven't stopped caring and I don't think our readers have either.
So on that note, let's just go over a few acts of vandalism and the people who've been either identified as suspects or already arrested. Apparently these people don't understand that Tesla's have lots of cameras.
In Boston, a woman was captured on video throwing a brick through the window of a Tesla.

A group of Republican senators voted along with Democrats on Wednesday for a resolution to undo President Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on Canadian imports, dealing an embarrassing blow to Trump.
The resolution expresses the sense of the Senate and doesn’t have the force of law, but its 51-48 passage is unwelcome news for the president on the very day he announced a host of new tariffs.
Four Republicans — Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.), Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Mitch McConnell (Ky.) — voted for the measure.
They voted to express their disapproval of Trump’s tariffs on Canada
