Chamberlain died late on Saturday in Hawaii from complications from a stroke, according to Boll. I thought he died years ago. May he rest in peace.

My friends and I loved 'The Thorn Birds'. We didn't view Richard Chamberlain as a heartthrob, but he was wonderful as Father Ralph and I really enjoyed his scenes with Miss Barbara Stanwyck.

I have scant memory of any role he ever played...but...his father Chuck Chamberlain played a major role in my life, philosophy, and recovery. His book, and his numerous talks changed the lives and futures of millions.

DENVER (KDVR) — Community members gathered outside the Aurora Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility after a well-known immigration activist was reportedly taken into custody. According to the American Friends Services Committee, a nonprofit that supports immigrant rights, Jeanette Vizguerra was taken into custody by ICE on Monday. The AFSC said “ICE acted without a valid deportation order and without notifying Ms. Vizguerra or her lawyers” when she was taken into custody Monday. The rights group said in a Tuesday press release that it appears ICE is “readying to possibly deport her even though the agency knows they don’t have a valid deportation order.”

A series of audacious train robberies has been reported in the Mojave Desert, most of them targeting freight trains carrying Nike sneakers. At least 10 heists have occurred since March 2024, with all but one involving the theft of expensive footwear. Millions of dollars of merchandise have been stolen since last year. The thieves stealthily board eastbound freight trains, hiding out until they reach lonely stretches of the Mojave Desert or high plains far from towns. They slash an air brake hose, causing the mile-long line of railcars to screech to an emergency stop.

The mystery surrounding the latest Delta Airlines crash just keeps deepening. The crash itself was shocking to witness—and it’s nothing short of a miracle that no one died. But in today’s world, where the skies feel less friendly than ever thanks to progressive ideology that has taken over corporate America, it’s no surprise that when a crash happens, all eyes turn to DEI. And that’s not a stretch. Delta Airlines has made no secret of going all-in on their DEI agenda—a move that just so happens to coincide with a sharp decline in consumer confidence with the airline industry.

But she unloaded on her famous relative in her statement on the eve of his Senate confirmation hearing, as he faces an uncertain future in the Senate as Donald Trump's pick to lead the Health and Human Services Department.

President Donald Trump is now using the power of the purse to bring diversity, equity and inclusion programs in the federal government to a screeching halt. The White House budget office ordered federal agencies to freeze 'all activities related to obligation or disbursement of all Federal financial assistance,’ which includes grants and loans that do not align with the new administration’s priorities. This is not meant to target any 'assistance provided directly to individuals,’ such as Medicare or Social Security.

Illegal migrants fearing deportation are said to be in hiding, turning usually crowded factories, warehouses and grocery stores into ghost towns. President Donald Trump has order federal agents to at least 1,200 to 1,500 illegal aliens each day as part of his sweeping immigration crackdown. Scared undocumented migrants began hunkering down after Trump took office for the second time last week, with dozens failing to turn up to work. Only 10 out of the usually 40 to 50 migrants workers attended their shifts at a factory in Joliet, Illinois last week,

When reports surfaced over the weekend that mass deportations could potentially begin in the Chicago area Tuesday, Martin Ramos informed his boss that he was taking time off from work, stocked up on groceries and decided his kids would skip soccer practice this week. Ramos — who emigrated from Guadalajara, Mexico, without the necessary work permits — spent the first full day of Donald Trump’s second presidency hunkered down with his family and trying to avoid being picked up by ICE agents. An arrest, he knows, would destroy everything he and his wife worked for and force their two boys into an uncertain future.

If it weren’t for the fact that it is Democrats doing it, it would almost be shocking that there is so much opposition to the efforts of Mr. Trump, through DOGE, to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government. What person, in their right mind, could possibly be against having THEIR tax dollars used wisely, not wasted on frivolous, unnecessary projects, or just flat being abused by unscrupulous politicians and bureaucrats? Even Bernie Sanders, back in 2008, is on tape saying that government waste should be excised. Why such hostility now?

By now, you know that I’m a big fan of Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) and his unmatched ability to dismantle weak arguments with his signature Southern wit. On Monday, during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, he was at the top of his game, systematically exposing the complete lack of legal authority for district judges to issue universal injunctions — a favorite tactic of the left to block President Trump’s agenda. Questioning Assistant Attorney General nominee Brett Shumate, Kennedy systematically dismantled any justification for these sweeping judicial orders. "Mr. Shumate, what's a universal injunction?" Kennedy asked.

Canadian signer Michael Bublé delivered a patriotic monologue on Sunday in which he declared his country is “not for sale” and “the greatest nation on earth,” an apparent response to President Donald Trump repeatedly suggesting that America could annex Canada. Bublé made the remarks while hosting Canada’s Juno Awards, an annual music event. He did not mention Trump by name or offer any explicit political endorsement or condemnation – notable given that Canada is heading for a general election on April 28 contested mostly between incumbent, unelected Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney and Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre.

Protests used to be really something in America. Back in the anti-war 70s, college kids and young adults were protesting continued U.S. involvement in Vietnam, and it was effective enough to alter the direction of the country. Those same hippies are now grandparents and great-grandparents, if they're still alive. You might guess that a lot of their grandkids are the ones protesting Elon Musk and Tesla, Donald Trump, ICE, and whatever else they think is wrong. But that doesn't seem to be the case most of the time. Many are foreign nationals here on a student visa. A lot of them are paid protesters.
