Consumer prices rose 2.8% in February compared to a year ago, easing slightly over the first full month under President Donald Trump and offering welcome news for markets roiled by a global trade war. Inflation cooled more than economists expected. Price increases slowed from a 3% inflation rate recorded in January, though inflation remain nearly a percentage point higher than the Federal Reserve's target of 2%. Egg prices, a closely watched symbol of price increases, soared 58.8% in February compared to a year ago, accelerating from the previous month. Bird flu has decimated the egg supply, lifting prices higher. The

This article has egg prices 'soaring' almost 59%, but two articles yesterday had egg prices falling over $2 a dozen. This is why the American public can't believe anything they read in any media.

Thank you, Joe Biden, and your collection of freaks and fools for four miserable years of failure and disgrace. I hope the rest of your life is filled with disappointment and ruined by the greed of your worthless family. I extend these good wishes to Barack Obama and his flying monkeys as well.

#1 I can't believe that I'm defending ABC, by it says that egg prices soared in February. They did. The price is just starting to come down in the second week in March, which they did fail to mention. Overall, a surprisingly factually accurate report from ABC.

Just came back from the store this morning. Prices went down on several items I bought, including eggs by $2.14/dz for jumbo size. I hope the Enemedia has perpetual conniptions as prices fall more in the coming months.

What's not being reported much is the significant decline in ocean freight rates which will reduce the import expenses by thousands of dollars per container. In most cases the importers will be paying half of what they were paying just a few months ago. This is due to a lot of factors and rates could climb again in the 2nd half as the carrier alignments get sorted out and they secure their market share goals. Significant volumes are moving out of China to other countries to avoid the tariffs too.

Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, has been working to eliminate what it considers redundant positions and cut costs. With roughly 200,000 federal workers now out of jobs, many are scrambling to find new employment. But for those who worked for agencies like the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, or Fish and Wildlife Service, job opportunities outside of government are slim. Coloradan Tina Jackson's one-year probationary period as a federal employee was set to end on March 10. But three weeks ago, she was let go from the Fish and Wildlife Service team she headed. After

When ABC News announced it was shutting down the pollster FiveThirtyEight, it called to mind the site’s claim that former Vice President Kamala Harris stood a better chance than now-President Donald Trump in November’s election. The shutdown shows legacy media, which have long inaccurately boosted perceived support for Democrats, are finally losing control. (Snip) FiveThirtyEight claimed Trump stood just a 29 percent chance of winning the national popular vote against Harris’ 71 percent. It also claimed Trump had a meager 1 percent chance of winning in a “landslide” of more than 350 electoral votes. These predictions could hardly be further

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin election officials voted Friday to force Madison city workers to sit for depositions as they try to learn more about how nearly 200 absentee ballots in November’s election went uncounted. The uncounted ballots in the state’s capital city didn’t affect any results, but the Wisconsin Elections Commission still launched an investigation in January to determine whether Madison City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl violated state law or abused her discretion. She didn’t notify the elections commission of the uncounted ballots until December, almost a month and a half after the election and well after the results were certified

House Republicans from around Colorado say they’re worried about being in Denver. In a letter to Mayor Mike Johnston, all 22 members of the GOP caucus raised concerns about “the alarming state of safety in our capital city.” As they see it, Denver is no longer a place where families and businesses can thrive — or where lawmakers and the public feel safe walking around. “Now, it has become a neglected metropolis where violent crime, drug overdoses, and lawlessness have made it unsafe for those who work and live here,” the Republicans wrote. “The Colorado State Capitol sits in the

Rep. Al Green was escorted out of the U.S. Capitol chamber Tuesday night after interrupting President Donald Trump’s joint congressional address. The Texas Democrat stood and interrupted Trump at the start of the speech as he started speaking, “You don’t have a mandate,” Green began before Republicans stood and drowned him out with jeers and a chant of “USA.” House Speaker Mike Johnson warned the congressman before calling for him to be removed. “Members are directed to uphold and maintain the quorum in the House and to cease any further disruptions. That’s your warning,” Johnson told the room before addressing

Forty-six percent of surveyed American voters said that neither the U.S. nor Ukraine walked away as a winner from last week’s tumultuous meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to a new Emerson College poll released Monday. Another 35 percent of surveyed voters said the U.S. walked away as a winner, while 15 percent said the same about Ukraine. Four percent said both counties were “equally successful.” The poll also showed a stark, partisan divide in how Americans view the meeting, with 57 percent of Democrats saying neither country walked away as a winner. “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg claimed Tuesday that President Donald Trump ruined former President Joe Biden’s economy without once mentioning high prices or the record high deficit. Goldberg argued that Trump inherited a “very robust” economy, crediting the Biden administration for adding nearly 16 million jobs to the U.S. economy, though she failed to mention this was largely a result of the U.S. recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The co-host also did not mention that inflation rose to a peak of 9% during the Biden administration and that the deficit reached record-breaking levels largely due to the previous White House’s high spending.

A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém. It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people - including world leaders - at the conference in November. The state government touts the highway's "sustainable" credentials, but some locals and conservationists are outraged at the environmental impact. The Amazon plays a vital role in absorbing carbon for the world and providing biodiversity, and many say this deforestation contradicts the very purpose of a climate summit.
