Remember when Democrats thought they had a winning message to combat Trump's popularity by harping about egg prices? They just lost their favorite talking point. “Instead of leaning into Trump’s teardown of the federal government or his alliance with billionaire lieutenant Elon Musk, they’re steering to what they perceive as the everyday concerns of Americans (Snip) According to Trading Economics, after reaching an all-time high of $8.17 per dozen in early March, egg prices have plummeted to $5.51, which now sits below the nearly $7 average when President Trump took office in January.

I’ve never really cared – as I’ve repeated for years, I was voting for president, not Pope (though, given how this Pope is on the border, I’d vote for Trump there too). On Tuesday evening, by a vote of 217-213, the House voted almost entirely along party lines to pass a continuing resolution (CR) that President Donald Trump indicated his support for over the weekend. Vice President JD Vance also spoke to House Republicans earlier on Tuesday to rally support. The push looks to have worked, as only Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) voted against the CR, joining almost all Democrats in the process. One Democrat, Rep. Jared Golden of Maine, voted for the CR.

She was not only censured in a bipartisan vote by the House in November 2023, but she's also been the lone vote against some common-sense bills, especially if such bills dare to show support for Israelis and/or not enough for Palestinians. Tlaib also opposes border security bills, though. Such was the case on Monday night, when the House voted 402-1 on the Subterranean Border Defense Act.
Such a bill, introduced by Reps. Eli Crane (R-AZ) and Lou Correa (D-CA), would "require annual reports on counter illicit cross-border tunnel operations," according to the bill's text.

Wall Street is puking big time, and the sell buttons are working overtime whenever the word “tariff” passes from Donald Trump’s lips. If you listen to the fat cat community long enough, you’d think Trump has been in office four years rather than four weeks, and that a small trade surcharge on a car from Mexico is leading us into economic Armageddon.
