Hit Piece on Data Republican (Small r)

Data Republican (small r), whose mad genius database skills have laid bare the corruption and self-dealing between Washington and an army of NGOs, was the subject of a weekend hit piece in the Salt Lake Tribune — and her husband might have gotten the worst of it. On Sunday, the Trib's "emerging news reporter," Brock Marchant, published an article that was little more than a summary of an earlier Rolling Stone piece that Jennica Pounds (Data r) says contains "multiple factual inaccuracies." Rather than interview Pounds directly for his report — she isn't difficult to reach — Marchant contacted her husband, Brent, through his work email.

Bless Marchant's little heart. We know from the left's reactions, and that includes their propaganda arm, that Trump, Musk, et. al. are over the target. If, God forbid, there is even an attempt on Elon's life, everyone who displays that bumper sticker, as well as the one(s) selling it, should be thoroughly investigated for inciting violence.

Alejandro Mayorkas, the nation’s top border official from 2021 to 2025, is denying blame for President Donald Trump’s smashing victory in 2024, which has scattered and impoverished the Democratic Party’s many interest groups. Instead, Mayorkas is blaming Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott and the upstart new media that he could not control as he gambled the party’s future by importing more than 10 million migrants for use by businesses and progressives. “I am very proud of what we did do,” Mayorkas told a friendly Harvard interviewer on March 5. The Department of Agriculture has cancelled a grant that recognizes menstrual cycles in ‘transgender men’ highlighted by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins last week. The grant awarded by USDA was specifically for Southern University Agricultural & Mechanical College in Louisiana. A description of the grant states in part that “the first occurrence of menstruation occurs at approximately 12 years of age and ends with menopause at roughly 51 years of age.” “A woman will have a monthly menstrual cycle for about 40 years of her life, averaging to about 450 periods over the course of her lifetime,” it continues, contending that it is “also important to recognize that transgender men

The Department of Veterans Affairs has saved roughly $900 million after reviewing just two percent of its contracts, VA Secretary Doug Collins announced. In a video posted to his official X account, Collins addressed those complaining about changes being made at Veterans Affairs and explained that no matter what, no changes will result in cuts to health care or benefits to veterans and VA beneficiaries. “VA will always fulfill its duty to provide veterans, families, caregivers and survivors the health care and benefits they have earned. That’s a promise, and while we conduct our review, VA will continue to hire for more than 300,000 mission critical positions

The Trump Justice Department on Monday filed an emergency motion for a stay pending appeal after a corrupt Obama judge reinstated a Biden-appointed labor board leader. “This appeal arises from an order of the district court reinstating a principal officer of the United States whom the President has lawfully fired. The court’s unprecedented order works a grave harm to the separation of powers and undermines the President’s ability to exercise his authority under the Constitution. The government seeks a stay of the order pending appeal and respectfully requests an immediate administrative stay,” the DOJ wrote in the motion for a stay pending appeal.

The Pardon Attorney is a “career” position in that it is not an office that requires a presidential appointment that is confirmed by the Senate. The Pardon Attorney is appointed by the Attorney General, but the position is in the “Senior Executive Service.” These are the top management positions just below the presidential appointees in all federal agencies. Oyer posted the written notice she was given on her LinkedIn page. It reads in part:

Due in large part to the decisive 2024 election of President Donald Trump, the creation of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), and efforts of other-worldly-brilliant Elon Musk, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) initiatives continue to give way to SMR — sanity, morality, and reason — in America. Throughout the four disastrous years of the Biden-Harris administration, DEI thrived like an insidious cancer, (Snip) While those days are ending, a new study reveals the "staggering scope" of DEI that was injected into the government during Joe Biden's reign. So how staggering? Staggering to the tune of more than one trillion taxpayer dollars.

There are still any number of Biden-era boondoggles to be defunded and defenestrated. Case in point: DOGE Caucus chair Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Representative Michael Cloud (R-TX) are introducing a bill to drag back $3 billion allocated by the Biden administration's stupendously misnamed "Inflation Reduction Act" to build electric postal service delivery trucks. This delivery truck issue is a great example of government incompetence in action. A South Carolina defense contractor responsible for the 60,000-vehicle order was already "far behind schedule" as of November. A Washington Post exposé revealed that by then, fewer than 100 of these vehicles had been delivered to USPS.

In a stunning announcement on X, Rubio confirmed what fiscal conservatives have long demanded: "After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID." Let that sink in. A whopping 5,200 contracts, worth tens of billions of taxpayer dollars, are getting the axe. These programs, long criticized for being ineffective money-drainers that often work against American interests, will finally stop hemorrhaging our hard-earned cash. “In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping (approximately 1000)

The radical left is at it again, folks. As we approach the March 14 deadline to fund the government, Democrats are playing their favorite game: manufacturing a crisis to force through their bloated spending agenda. While Republican leadership works tirelessly to pass a sensible continuing resolution (CR) that would freeze spending and secure our southern border, Democrats are deliberately orchestrating a shutdown. Their endgame? Protecting their precious slush funds and derailing President Trump's America First agenda. And, of course, stopping the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) dead in its tracks. “Congress must keep the government open so that DOGE can continue to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in our government.

They will not allow Trump to take us into authoritarianism,” Sanders yelled.

The warm-fuzzy marketing appeal of ActBlue to attract Democratic “small donors” has turned into the party’s worst nightmare: It is now being accused of operating a “money-laundering operation” as the Democratic party’s main fundraising platform, according to Republican lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee. Suspicions surfaced when small donor funds reached billions with the math failing to add up. “We are investigating potentially fraudulent and illicit financial activity” in connection with ActBlue’s network of on-line platforms, read a letter addressed to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen by Republican lawmakers Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY).
