Radio Legacy

President Trump has tapped former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino to become Kash Patel’s deputy FBI director beginning next month. In December 2023, Bongino signed a multiyear extension of his contract with syndicator Westwood One to continue his weekday radio program which airs in the same timeslot as the late talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh. Dan Bongino’s show—which was also distributed as a podcast—was a reflection of the man: former NYPD officer, Secret Service agent, onetime candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maryland and former host of a TV show for the National Rifle Association.

Charlie Kirk would be wonderful to fill in where Dan Bongino's radio program was.

Stop trying to "replace" Rush Limbaugh. Can't do it. Anyone who tries will fail. Just be yourself.

I wish I could hear Dan's radio program - and agree that Kirk would be a great guy to listen to, also - but our local station that formerly had Rush on now fills that slot with Jimmy Failla's show. He can be funny, but he ain't no Rush - but then, nobody is or will be!

Dan's show was okay. He definitely had interesting insights into the Secret Service (duh), the White House, police/law enforcement in general, but his speaking style at times was annoying to me. He would go off on these tangents that I found annoying. The alternative is Andrew Wilkow on Sirius and he had his moments, too. Yes, there will be no second Rush. I enjoy Charlie's show when able to watch it.

No one comes remotely close to replacing Rush... but sorry we're losing Dan Bongino...at least he was interesting Here in Buffalo,NY we have Buck and Clay taking over Rush's time slot ... they are waaaay too "moderate" (milquetoast)for my taste...( and they both sound alike...so which is which?)... ...Charlie Kirk comes on at 3 PM.... he recently replaced motor-mouth Ben Shapiro ( who thinks we ALL care about Isreal as much as he does)...so far Kirk has not been impressive. ...Lars Larson is good...but he comes on 10 pm......

#3 You can hear Dan on your computer at the WMAL website. DAN comes on at noon EST. At 3PM Vince Coglianese comes on. Vince is a DC local-unafraid, smart, informative and funny. DC's WMAL has a great conservative talk radio line-up. IF you have an Amazon Echo-just ask Alexa to play WMAL or the radio station of your choice.

Rush was an entertainer plus a great talk show host. Kirk is a great debater but not an entertainer as Rush.

I wish I could get these shows on the radio in my city. We have to be content those two clowns who took over Rush’s show. Riding on Rush’s coattails, his brilliance and hard work, they like to boast of their sky-high ratings, as if it wasn’t handed to them on a golden, EIB platter.

Those two clowns who took over Rush's show, are banal and boring. If you have a computer, tablet or phone, you can listen to all these other conservative voices over the internet or satellite.

As I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, Michiganian Congressman John James is seeking the Republican nomination to run for governor in November of 2026. He announced this decision a couple of weeks back and has been lining up endorsements and touring the state.James sat down with the Detroit News to answer some questions about what he would like to do as governor, and also what Donald Trump will announce this Tuesday when he is in Michigan. Of course, the question that was asked was something I mentioned could happen in an article a couple of weeks ago, when James first announced he was running.
