MSNBC liberal mainstay Joy Reid’s show has been canceled as part of a major overhaul by the network’s new president Rebecca Kutler, according to a report.
The 7 p.m. program hosted by ardent Trump critic Reid, 56, will be replaced by a new panel show featuring co-hosts Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders Townsend, the New York Times reported, citing insiders.

I’ve written about how the left uses language to (often falsely) shape political and social narratives. Abortion is “health care.” Illegal aliens are “undocumented citizens.” The homeless are the “unhoused,” or recently and more and more ridiculously, “people experiencing homelessness,” while people who have ties to Latin America are “Latinx” (although most Latinos in reality want nothing to do with the term).
One the silliest arguments they regularly bring forth, though, is regarding the term “woman”—what does it mean? Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson doesn’t know; meanwhile, many leftists define it as “anyone who identifies as one.” Right.
Enter Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D, but you probably already knew that),

It’s been an exhausting four weeks for anyone watching the administration’s effort to reshape, modernize, and clean up the federal government. It’s been an avalanche of Executive Orders, confirmation hearings, court battles, and staff reshufflings and removals. “The choice was between a slow canoe ride through more of the same, or a roller coaster. Americans chose the roller coaster.”
A lot of things have been made clear. The most significant is that as things were going, the roles of the president and Congress had been largely diminished in recent years. Unelected bureaucrats in the U.S. Treasury were in charge of disbursing the money allocated by the federal budget to

Time to go a’privateering?
We’ve heard a bit about letters of marque and reprisal recently. Sen. Mike Lee has proposed bringing back letters of marque in a thread on X, suggesting them as a tool for going after Mexican drug cartels. Erik Prince, who founded Blackwater, the private security company (it’s rude to call them “mercenaries”) has also weighed in in favor of this approach. My own Congressman, Tim Burchett (R-TN) has introduced legislation allowing the President to issue letters of marque and reprisal against cartels, the Cartel Marque and Reprisal Reauthorization Act of 2025, co-sponsored with Rep. Mark Messmer, (R-IN).

General Dan Caine — the newly nominated chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — got tapped for his new position after becoming a favorite of President Donald Trump during a meeting with him in Iraq in 2018.
Since that warzone meeting, Trump has repeatedly praised Caine, who served as the deputy commander of the special operations task force, which was then fighting the Islamic State.
Trump called the three-star general “instrumental” in the “complete annihilation of the ISIS caliphate” in a Truth Social post Friday — harping on Caine’s reputation as a “warfighter.”
Caine’s successful stint in Iraq, which lasted from 2018-2019, made a strong impression on the president,

Qatar is a small country of less than 5,000 square miles that wields enormous power due to its immense wealth, with which it has bought off politicians throughout Western Europe and North America. It has used its money to promote the jihadist Islam of the Muslim Brotherhood (M.B.) variety, along with anti-Western and antisemitic incitement. According to Dr. Udi Levy, former head of the Mossad’s Unit of Economic War against Terror, “Qatar has conquered Europe” and has great influence on some of the richest people in the U.S., many of them Jews, who lobby for this terror-supporting authoritarian regime.

Washington— New FBI Director Kash Patel has told senior officials that he plans to relocate up to 1,000 employees from Washington to field offices around the country and move an additional 500 to a large bureau facility in Huntsville, Alabama, according to a person with knowledge of the discussions.
The plans were communicated Friday, the same day Patel was sworn in on the campus of the White House, and are in keeping with his oft-stated vision of reducing the size of the FBI’s footprint in Washington and having more of a presence in offices in other cities.
“Director Patel has made clear his promise to the American public that FBI agents

On Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, former CIA Director and current MSNBC analyst John Brennan claimed it was "absurd" to suggest that President Trump fired C.Q. Brown, who Biden had appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, because he had a woke agenda.
Absurd? Really? After the death of George Floyd in 2020, Brown put out a video in which he focused on his own trials and tribulations as an African-American, and concluded by saying that he wanted "to lead and listen to necessary conversations on racism, diversity, and inclusion."

There’s something about being exposed that causes stupidity; a kneejerk reaction to push back against reality, no matter how obvious. As DOGE and President Donald Trump work to expose and fight government waste, fraud and abuse (how sad is it that they have to FIGHT Democrats to end those things?), more ways in which the federal government has been doing those things is coming to light. As a result of this disinfecting glow of sunlight, people are losing their jobs. While that’s never fun, those jobs are simply unnecessary. Since Democrats have adopted a “If Trump is for it, we’re against it…whatever IT is” mantra,

Miffed Canadians are opting out of American vacations as President Donald Trump imposes tariffs on their country to protect his own nation and its people.
The Canadians’ decision not to visit America is having an effect on air and land travel as they push back against the tariffs levied against their nation, the New York Post reported on Saturday. (X) On January 31, the White House confirmed that Trump was preparing to impose fresh tariffs on major U.S. trading partners in an effort to shield American industry and national security, per Breitbart News’s John Carney:

The new head of the Small Business Administration (SBA), Kelly Loeffler, is making headlines after a viral moment during her tour of the agency’s headquarters. She promptly directed the SBA team to resume operations in the office, signaling a strong commitment to restoring productivity and engagement within the agency.

MSNBC is set to write a large check after the network chose to settle a $30 million defamation lawsuit. Multiple hosts were caught up in the scandal, including Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, and Nicolle Wallace, all of which repeated the lie that a doctor was performing "mass hysterectomies" at an ICE facility under the Trump administration. Georgia gynecologist Dr. Mahendra Amin was the subject of the malicious falsehood after two MSNBC reporters used a "whistleblower" named Dawn Wooten as the basis for a story. Her lack of credibility was apparently not an issue for the left-wing network, and numerous on-air personalities did segments

The New Yorker’s Susan Glasser tried to play the race card over President Donald Trump’s firing of Air Force General CQ Brown Jr. as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The Gateway Pundit reported on Brown’s ouster on Friday.
In a post on X, Glasser floated the idea, via a quote without attribution, that claimed Brown was fired because he is Black. (X) Glasser conveniently failed to acknowledge that Brown was nominated by him for Chief of Staff of the Air Force during his first term.

Greg Gutfeld is going gangbusters and proving that conservatives have made huge headways in the culture wars. The Fox News star and late-night comedian, who hosts the eponymous show “Gutfeld!” was featured in a splashy Variety cover story Wednesday. Just that fact alone is a victory for conservatives, as the story was fair, far from a hit piece. But Gutfeld’s indisputably superb ratings are yet more proof that the right is ascendant in the culture wars and that more and more Americans are craving comedy and commentary from fresh, independent voices.
