DOGE—Department Of Government Efficiency. And the less-heralded, yet extremely effective FAFO—F*** Around and Find Out. Laws are policies crafted, at least in theory, to secure constitutionally guaranteed freedoms for all Americans. Of course, there needs to be enforcement and accountability. Laws. Our laws are being written by lobbies and NGO's and simply signed off on by the political class. If Congress actually did their jobs... This has to change also.

It's Valentine's Day - and Also a Big
Day in American Firearms History

Today, February 14th, is Valentine's Day — a Hallmark holiday in which we're supposed to show our loved ones how much we care for them by giving them cards and flowers, hopefully purchased at the local Hallmark store or an accomodating local florist. Yes, I'm a tiny bit cynical about that; you shouldn't need to set aside a special day to show your significant other how important they are to you. You should do that every day. So, let's set that aside for a moment. Today, as it happens, is a big day in firearms history as well. On February 14th, 1911 — 114 years ago —

All four of the biggest scandals in U.S. history have happened in just the past few years: (a) the cover-up of Joe Biden’s decline; (b) lawfare against Trump; (c) the cover-up of Hunter Biden’s influence-peddling, and now; and (d) billions wasted, by not just the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), but also by many other agencies, and being uncovered by Elon Musk’s DOGE. In this writer’s opinion, it’s all a series of causes and desired effects. The Democrat party Deep State (DPDS) loathe Trump. They used every trick in their trick bag, from “Russia collusion” to lawfare to assassination attempts, to beat him and present Hillary, then Biden, then Kamala

A significant majority of federal government workers are complaining that they are being required to show up to work instead of being allowed to work from home, as they have been allowed to do for five years now. A new article from Fortune via Yahoo News explains why private businesses are requiring employees to show back up at the office; the reasons are the same for government work, and are summarized below: It is much better for young workers to show up in-person so they can learn from senior employees. It is also much better for social skills. It is hard to coordinate work when the workers aren’t at the same location.

Florida death row inmate James Dennis Ford was so overcome with grief after his father's death, his former wife says she would find him in the cemetery at night, lying on his dad's grave and crying. Described as severely mentally delayed in court records, Ford turned to alcohol after the loss, and eventually, murder. Florida is set to execute Ford by lethal injection for the 1997 murders of 25-year-old Gregory and his 26-year-old wife Kimberly Malnory. If the execution moves forward, Ford will be the first inmate executed in Florida this year and the fifth in the U.S. Ford’s lawyers have argued in court filings that the death penalty should not be applied

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Monday pardoned former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, whose 14-year sentence for political corruption charges he commuted during his first term. The Republican president called the Democratic former governor, who once appeared on Trump’s reality TV show “Celebrity Apprentice,” “a very fine person” and said the conviction and prison sentence “shouldn’t have happened.” “I’ve watched him. He was set up by a lot of bad people, some of the same people I had to deal with,” Trump said at the White House as he signed the pardon. Blagojevich was convicted in 2011 on charges that included seeking to sell an appointment to then-President Barack Obama’s old Senate seat

I wrote here about the absurd order issued by a Democratic Party judge that purports to bar the Secretary of the Treasury, along with many others, from accessing the Treasury Department’s data. The judge who issued that ex parte order–that means he issued it without even waiting to hear from the government–was Paul Engelmayer. Engelmayer sits in the Southern District of New York, a venue that has no apparent connection to the Treasury Department’s operations. The Trump administration has now moved urgently to correct Engelmayer’s error. The linked document is a Memorandum in support of a Motion to Dissolve, Clarify or Modify Engelmayer’s improvidently granted temporary restraining order.

According to the Associated Press: VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican's charity said Monday that U.S. plans to gut USAID were “reckless” and could kill millions, while Pope Francis’ point man on development urged the Trump administration to remember Christian principles about caring for others. The federal judge who suggested Trump administration officials could face criminal contempt over the spending freeze on Monday is a Democrat donor. John J. McConnell, Jr., chief judge of the U.S. district court in Rhode Island, ordered the Trump administration to “immediately restore frozen funding” after determining officials violated his prior restraining order and suggesting further opposition could result in criminal charges. McConnell cited a 1975 case that states, “Persons who make private determinations of the law and refuse to obey an order generally risk criminal contempt even if the order is ultimately ruled incorrect.” While he was in private practice as an attorney until 2009, McConnell donated hundreds of thousands

He also claims that Democrats have benefited more from the agency’s funding than Republicans, based on his own personal experience. During the first few weeks of the second Trump administration,

Schakowsky made her remarks on Wednesday during a Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade subcommittee hearing entitled “AI in Manufacturing: Securing American Leadership in Manufacturing and the Next Generation of Technologies.” Schakowsky suggested that perhaps the reason fewer women choose a career in manufacturing is that the term has the word “man” in it. Schakowsky stated, “Yesterday, I met with a manufacturing company, but they also are engaged in getting young people more engaged in manufacturing. I asked them, ‘How many of those students that are signing up and want to do this, how many are women?'”

The federal lawsuit claims that the policy has caused attendance to plummet due to the amount of illegal aliens in the district. “DPS is hindered in fulfilling its mission of providing education and life services to the students who are refraining from attending DPS schools for fear of immigration enforcement actions occurring on DPS school grounds,” the lawsuit states, according to a report from ABC News.
