Last year Karen Poth decided it was time to rename the museum she runs in Mobile, Alabama, to better reflect its unique status. To do so, she first had to line up support from elected officials and her board of directors before raising money for the project. Next, she needed to update the museum's website, logo and printed materials. Then in April 2024, she finally unveiled the new name in letters stretching 50ft across the eight-storey building: the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico, the only museum in the world dedicated to the history, folklore and culture of the largest gulf on Earth. So, imagine her response

As usual, the msm had to search far and wide to find the ONE person negatively effected by this name change. If Fauxbama or Xiden had done it, applause and flowers.

Well if this is the worst thing Karen has to deal with in her life, she is quite blessed. Although if she was hoping for a grant from USAID to pay for it, she may be outta luck.

Trump has much more important, critical things to deal with. Inflation. Open border. Crime. "Gulf of America" if ridiculous. Ridiculous.

Sorry, Karen, BBC, but ... no issue there. Since museums are about history and the G of M is history, everything is fine. The last exhibit is about the renaming. Done.

For the sign she only has to change one thing. For letterhead and logos, she could use what she has until it runs out. Then buy more. It is not the end of the world.

She sounds like a petty good sport: . "My personality is to laugh," Poth said. "Or else you cry."

Last Monday, I published “D.C. Every rap fan following the drama of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” track, which disses fellow rapper Drake, was dying to see if he would mention Drake during the Super Bowl halftime show. He did. Last week, “Not Like Us” won a Grammy Award for best rap performance as well as for song of the year. In January, Drake filed a complaint in federal court against Universal Music Group, saying the song accuses him of being a pedophile. During Lamar the halftime show, smiled directly at the camera while rapping the lyrics, “Say Drake, I hear you like them young. You better never go to cell block one.”

This is a good strategic move. Security Clearances are the credentialed currency of those who work in the DC administrative state. Specifically, a lawyer inside the DC machine is essentially of no value without a security clearance. Additionally, the absence of a security clearance opens up both parties in DC to legal exposure from discussing or receiving information that is defined by the apparatus as NSI (national security information). And the cherry on the top of the proverbial cake is that Lawfare uses their definitions of NSI in an attempt to stop sunlight on their corrupt activity. Revocation of security clearances is a win, win, win; a triple winnamin.

A federal judge rejected a motion on Friday seeking to prevent the Labor Department from giving the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to its sensitive information systems. U.S. District Judge John Bates stated that while the court harbors concerns about DOGE’s alleged conduct to access the data, the plaintiffs have not demonstrated legal standing to pursue the lawsuit. “This data includes the medical and financial records of millions of Americans. But on the current record, plaintiffs have failed to establish standing,” Bates stated in his nine-page ruling.
