“YOU’RE FIRED!”
President Donald Trump started purging more than 1,000 appointees from former President Joe Biden’s administration overnight – starting with celebrity chef Jose Andres and embattled retired General Mark Milley.
The new commander-in-chief fired off the “official notice of dismissal” to four Biden appointees in a midnight social media post, bluntly warning that his team were hunting down even more to throw out of office. (Photo)
“Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,”

FTA: "Andres, who has long had beef with Trump, was once meant to open a restaurant in Trump’s DC hotel but backed out after the president likened Mexicans to criminals and racists. The pair battled it out in court and eventually settled."
Did Trump do as the quote says, or did he say that Mexican criminals and rapists were coming across the border?

Fire the entire DOJ and make the ones who may be salvageable re-interview. Abolish the worthless FBI.

Re #5. Was wondering why Trump went after a chef. After reading Andres had backed out of a deal, realized the two of them have a history. Perhaps Trump will start a new TV program called 'Whitehouse Chef' and profile chefs from across the nation.

#5, I guess getting rid of the chef helps to minimize the need for a food taster.

The majority of federal employees belong to the merit-based "competitive service;" however, there are five classes of employees belonging to the "excepted service," which are you presidential and political appointees, who do not have civil service protections and are expected to submit resignations at the change of an administration. Those appointees may be terminated if they do not submit their resignations. Many excepted service employees seek to be converted to the competitive service, a craven act known as "nesting" or "burrowing in." To provide continuity in government, all Senior Executive Service (SES) employees, the senior-most policy and decision-makers in the federal government, are competitively hired or promoted and are expected to be non-partisan subject matter experts. Despite civil service protections, there is a pathway and process for firing under performers from the competitive service, although many supervisors and administrators are too lazy or lack sufficient management skills to follow through. Some of the rules put forth the the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) have been codified in law by Congressional action and may require Congress to reverse certain legislation or create new legislation, like making permanent Trump's first term (2020) executive order creation of a Schedule F class of employee, lacking in common civil service protections, stylized more as an "at will" relationship. Biden, by executive order, eliminated Schedule F early in his presidency. With a "friendly" Congress, Trump can push to solidify his reforms in law; otherwise, the next president can reverse Trump's changes.
