Elon Musk took yet another jab at Justin Trudeau after the disgraced Canadian Prime Minister tried to take a final stand against President-elect Donald Trump's rhetoric suggesting the United States could absorb the Great White North. Last month, Trump kicked off the entire controversy when he slammed Trudeau for bristling at his potential tariff threat to persuade northern leaders to tighten border security.
Trump joked, "If Canada can't survive without ripping off the US to the tune of $100 billion a year, then maybe Canada should become the 51st state, and Trudeau could become its governor."
Since that point, the 47th President has consistently chided Trudeau on social media.

It’s the year of our Lord 2025, which means we can leave the Constitution-threatening chaos of 2024 behind, right? Wrong!
Unless something is done to curb the democracy-destroying behavior of the Democrats and the deep state, the future of the country is still very much hanging in the balance. Thankfully, a new calendar and a new administration mark another opportunity for Americans to take back what is rightfully theirs. It won’t be easy. And unlike your New Year’s resolutions, these “ins and outs” should not be forgotten in a couple of weeks. But if they are executed correctly, it will be worth it.

You heard it on Scarborough! This version of Joe Biden – the bumbling and clearly over the hill version is the best version of Joe Biden – and Joe Scarborough supported his candidacy for reelection completely. Always remember that there were those who would do literally anything in order to keep Donald Trump from getting reelected. There was literally nobody who though that Joe Biden was still able to function properly in the White House, yet Joe Scarborough was willing to say loud and clear that this was the best version of Joe Biden.

Donald Trump hasn’t even retaken the office of the presidency yet, and he’s already drastically reshaping American foreign policy.
At a Tuesday press conference, which covered a wide range of topics, President-elect Trump announced that his administration would be renaming the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.”
The once and future president also doubled down on his aims to acquire Greenland, retake control of the Panama Canal, and put pressure on Canada to change its trade relations with the United States One reporter asked Trump whether he would rule out using “military force” to take Greenland and Panama.

It’s Wednesday, January 8. This is The Front Page, your daily window into the world of The Free Press—and our take on the world at large. Coming up: How Canadians enabled Justin Trudeau’s failures, why nicotine is increasingly conservative-coded, and the end of wokeness at McDonald’s.
But first: Mark Zuckerberg and Meta are vibe-shifting hard.
If you ever needed more evidence that elections have consequences, look no further than what’s gone on at Facebook’s parent company in the past 24 hours.
On Monday came the news that Dana White, CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship, would be joining Meta’s board. A longtime friend of Trump,

Israeli soldiers recovered the body of a 53-year-old hostage in an underground tunnel in southern Gaza, the military said Wednesday, and the army was determining if another set of remains belongs to the man’s son.
The discovery of Yosef AlZayadni’s body comes as Israel and Hamas are considering a ceasefire deal that would free the remaining hostages in Gaza and could halt the fighting. Israel has declared about a third of the 100 hostages dead, but believes as many as half could be.
Yosef and his son Hamzah AlZayadni were thought to still be alive before Wednesday’s announcement,

The Biden administration withdrew seven far-left proposed rules at the end of December, potentially due to receiving hundreds of thousands of critical public comments.
The withdrawals are being hailed as wins by conservatives, who have submitted comments against the rules, which would have compelled allowing male participation in girls sports, prohibited religious exemptions for birth control coverage, taken federal funding away from pregnancy resource centers, and more.
“On balance, withdrawing these rules is a win for everyone who submitted comments opposing them,” Ethics and Public Policy Center fellow Rachel Morrison told The Daily Signal. “It means these bad policy proposals by the Biden administration will not go into effect.”

But first: Trudeau resigns.
I am an American, but I still remember when Justin Trudeau was elected as prime minister in 2015. Young (by politicians’ standards), handsome (by regular ones), cosmopolitan, and liberal (he was a sort of French Canadian Obama), the legacy press adored him. A Washington Post headline from 2016 effused: “How Canada’s Prime Minister Became a Superhero,”

President Joe Biden rewarded one of the Left’s most influential and notorious donors Saturday, giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros.
The White House announced the honor in a list of 19 recipients, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and LGBTQ megadonor Tim Gill.
Biden framed Soros’ funding as philanthropy in service of “democracy” and “social justice.”
George Soros is an investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Open Society Foundations,” the White House explained. “Through his network of foundations, partners and projects in more than 120 countries, Soros has focused on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education, and social justice.”

MTA chair and CEO Janno Lieber brushed off subway crime as “in people’s heads” as congestion pricing launched Monday — forcing more New Yorkers into the plagued public transit system.
Lieber skirted around concerns over safety on the subways during a Monday morning interview on “Bloomberg Surveillance,” telling listeners: “Some of these high-profile incidents, you know, terrible attacks have gotten in people’s heads and made the whole system feel unsafe.”
“The overall stats are positive. Last year we were actually at 12 and a half percent less crime than 2019, the last year before COVID,” Lieber said.

In a total failure to accept a clear electoral loss, leftists plan to gather in Washington, D.C., and other large cities across the nation on Jan. 20, Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day. They claim their aim is to “defeat Trump’s extreme right, billionaire agenda.”
The FBI is still prosecuting people who attended the chaotic Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Good luck with that, losers Based on that, shouldn’t these leftists be worried that they too will be thrown into jail for being present and disagreeable? Will the FBI and Department of Justice disseminate their photos, knock on their doors,

Cuba became an independent country in 1902. You can divide the island’s history into two periods: the pre-Castro years and the current regime’s period in power since 1959.
I was born in the last decade of pre-Castro Cuba. My story so typical of the other kids born in the 1950s. We were the grandchildren or great-grandchildren of immigrants from Spain or elsewhere.
Our ancestors came to Cuba because it was a prosperous island, an attractive place for Spaniards seeking a better life, for Jewish refugees from Europe, hardworking Asians, and others.
It was a young and vibrant country with hope and a future. I
