After being one of the chief architects of the removal of Biden from the presidential ticket, she continues to spew divisive rhetoric even though her party got shellacked in November with the GOP taking the House, the Senate, and the Oval Office. She was back at it Sunday, appearing on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” to deliver an awful take on "domestic violent extremism." Gay and transgender liberals around the country are arming themselves over perceived concerns they’ll be rounded up and placed in “concentration camps” under a second Trump administration, according to a report.
The Philadelphia Inquirer on Sunday profiled several members of the emerging gun-toting left, who belong to groups with names like the Liberal Gun Club, the Socialist Rifle Association and Pink Pistols.
Although precise figures regarding LGBTQ gun ownership are tough to ascertain given the small cohort, the Liberal Gun Club told the outlet that it’s received “thousands” of firearms training requests since the election — more than in all of 2023 combined —

Lefty Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to announce his resignation from office this week, according to a report.
Three sources told the Globe and Mail, a Canadian outlet, on Sunday that Trudeau, 53, could reveal he’s leaving as Liberal Party Leader before a critical national caucus meeting on Wednesday.
It was unclear what day he could announce his resignation, but it reportedly could happen as early as Monday, the sources said. (Photos)
The bombshell report comes as an embattled Trudeau has faced increasing calls for his resignation as a Donald Trump presidency – and the threat of 25% tariffs on all products north of the border – looms large.

The new year began on a violent note, as a terror attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans left at least 14 dead and dozens injured. The suspect, reportedly inspired by ISIS, used firearms and an improvised explosive device.
The FBI bizarrely hesitated to immediately label it as terrorism. Meanwhile, a potential terror attack also unfolded in Las Vegas, where a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump Hotel. These incidents highlight America’s vulnerabilities and the need for strong leadership in federal law enforcement. As such, many were calling on the swift confirmation of Trump’s nominees to lead the Justice Department and the FBI.

Less than a year before the end of World War II, then U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau drew up a nightmarish plan to punish postwar Germany.
After the serial 1870-1871 Franco-Prussian War, World War I, and World War II -- along with the failed Versailles peace treaty of 1919 -- the Allies in World War II wanted to ensure there would never again be an aggressive Germany powerful enough to invade its neighbors. When the so-called Morgenthau Plan was leaked to the press in September 1944, at first it was widely praised. After all, it would supposedly render Germany incapable of ever starting another world war in Europe.

We’re nearly a decade into the age of Islamist terror via motor vehicle, beginning with the 2016 Bastille Day truck attack in Nice, France that killed 86 people.
New York should be hardening vulnerable public spaces. Instead, the city relies on temporary measures and good luck — leaving us little better prepared than New Orleans.
Last week’s New Year’s Bourbon Street attack, which killed 14 people, is the fault of one person: ISIS adherent Shamsud-Din Jabbar of Texas.
But vehicle terrorism is a fact of modern urban life. The New Orleans attack came two weeks after a Christmastime vehicle assault in Germany that killed five people.

The move in the final days of the administration will take non-condensing, natural gas-fired water heaters off the shelves by 2029 in a bid to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, which climate change advocates and President Biden say cause global warming.
The new rules will require new tankless gas water heaters to use about 13% less energy than today’s least efficient tankless models.

In 2020, President Trump’s re-election campaign appeared poised for success. The economy was thriving, unemployment was low, and consumer confidence was high. However, when COVID-19 hit, it all came crashing down. The pandemic crippled the economy, and the resulting lockdowns, travel restrictions, and other measures presented Democrats with a unique opportunity to undermine Trump’s presidency and seize the election. It’s clear that the political and economic fallout from COVID-19, as well as other restrictions, were central factors in Biden winning that election.

"I realized at that moment the damage done to me and that I had been putting this off,"

The White House said on Friday that President Joe Biden is not considering raising the Stars and Stripes to full-staff for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
President Jimmy Carter died on Dec. 29 at the age of 100 in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. According to the U.S. flag code, the death of a sitting or former president is observed by flying the American flag at half-staff for 30 days from the date of death on all public buildings and grounds, military posts, naval stations, and naval vessels.

We can’t be sure, since his alleged presidency still has 16 days to go. But Biden’s awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros is likely to stand as his final insult to America.
In honoring Soros, Biden said:
“Born into a Jewish family in Hungary, George Soros escaped Nazi occupation to build a life of freedom for himself and countless others around the world,” reads the Soros citation.
Soros has been a relentless enemy of freedom throughout his adult life.
“His inspiring generosity reminds us all of our capacity and our obligation to stand up to the abuse of power and to be guardians of democracy and all people yearning to be

If there was ever a question about how much Joe Biden hates God and all religions (with the possible exception of Islam), that question has now been completely answered with his choice of honoring two of the most anti-religion individuals in our nation with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest award for a civilian. A self-proclaimed Catholic, whose actions have always been directly antithetical to Catholic theology, Biden is awarding this honor to Cecile Richards, the President of Planned Parenthood. It is a major tenet of Catholicism that abortion is strictly forbidden,

With the passing of Jimmy Carter at the age of 100, there is a scurry to rewrite the history of our 39th president. According to the popular narrative, Carter faced economic and foreign policy challenges, yet his accomplishments, such as the Camp David Accords, are remembered, as well as his lifelong dedication to humanitarian efforts and winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
Carter’s true legacy is quite different. He was a godly man who was unprepared to serve as leader of the world’s superpower. His good — but naïve — intentions too often created disastrous results for our nation.

With each news cycle, it seems that lame-duck President Joe Biden is going out of his way to say, “To hell with you!” to the American people and to the tens of millions of voters who made it clear in November that they want a new way forward. As RedState’s Rusty Weiss reported, in his latest move to place a cap on the Worst Presidency of All Time, Biden chose to award Presidential Medals of Freedom to two of the most divisive figures in America, twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and far-left financier George Soros, a man whose life's work appears to be tearing down America as we know it.

As we reported, Joe Biden laughably presented former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney the nation's second highest civilian award—the Presidential Citizens Medal—on Thursday for her role in being a key member of the corrupt J6 Committee. It was a Hollywood-produced show trial where there was no Republican cross-examination of witnesses, and Cheney herself has now been credibly accused of tampering with a witness, a charge that can come with a lengthy prison sentence. As if she needed to be shown yet one more time that she joined the wrong team, the medal ceremony was a cringefest where Biden was up to his usual creepy shenanigans. She got applause Thursday—

P]olicy wonks have decided that in a region that hasn't known good news for decades if not centuries, one should be content with news that is "less bad". Thus, the fall of the Butcher of Damascus is news that is less bad rather than good because, despite Ahmad al-Sharaa's trimmed beard, silk necktie and Colgate smile, no one knows where the new rulers might be heading.
[T]he current rush to brainstorm on the future of the Middle East ignores the geopolitical aspect of this complex situation.
That in turn is symbolized by the elephant in the room: Iran. This elephant has a genetic tendency to going rogue.

With the full support of President Trump working the members, House Speaker Mike Johnson won the speakership again on the first round of voting with only Republican Thomas Massie voting against Johnson. This was the first test of Republican resistance to President Trump and the DeSantis House coalition, aka the Freedom Caucus, conceded their first defeat.
President Trump called Texas opposition member Chip Roy personally, to put pressure on him to stop opposing the MAGA movement. It appears the pressure campaign was successful.

The first week of 2025 is a reminder that while the country and the world face peril, we are on the cusp of a revolution in the West by voters who demand accountability and a sweeping out of arrogant, corrupt, and incompetent leadership. The week began here with an Islamist from Houston who plowed a F-150 into New Year’s celebrants on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street. He left the truck and began firing into the crowd. Brave law enforcement officers dashed to the scene of the mayhem and eliminated him and the threat.

Motorists heading into some of Manhattan’s busiest neighborhoods have begun shelling out a first-in-the-nation $9 congestion toll — a controversial levy critics contend will drive people out of Gotham and devastate the local economy.
The scheme officially took effect at midnight on Sunday, meaning drivers entering the city below 60th Street will now have to pay $9 during peak hours — 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends — and $2.25 for off-peak hours.
During peak hours, large trucks will pay $21.60, small trucks $14.40 and motorcycles $4.50.

In 1888, Katz’s Deli opened on New York City’s Lower East Side. A century after it adopted its current name, the Obama administration began investigating it and other popular restaurants.
Most people know Katz’s from a memorable scene in When Harry Met Sally. [SNIP]
Katz’s also survived a surge in meat prices, the pandemic and the neighborhood deli has now endured a record 13-year federal investigation.
Not for mob ties or racketeering, but for the size of its old-fashioned doors, tables and toilets.

The Biden administration knew how bad it was and did nothing.
Chinese hackers had gained the ability to shut down dozens of U.S. ports, power grids and other infrastructure targets at will, Jake Sullivan told telecommunications and technology executives at a secret meeting at the White House in the fall of 2023, according to people familiar with it. The attack could threaten lives, and the government needed the companies’ help to root out the intruders.
What no one at the briefing knew, including Sullivan: China’s hackers were already working their way deep inside U.S. telecom networks, too.
Did they know? Did they not know?

Leftist Washington Post editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit her job after Post opinion editor David Shipley killed a cartoon mocking Post owner Jeff Bezos as part of a pack of supine billionaires holding up sacks of cash and bending the knee to Donald Trump.
We noted in 2015 that Telnaes ripped Sen. Ted Cruz by portraying his young daughters at toy monkeys (imagine doing that to a black politician's daughters). In 2020, she continued the animal theme by drawing everyone she thought aided Trump's election denials as "Republican rats."
