The Iowa Supreme Court does away with
the Fourth Amendment

One of the defining features of America in the last 60 years is really horrible decisions by judges. At the Supreme Court level, we’ve repeatedly witnessed nine unelected autocrats abandon the Constitution and traditional principles of judicial construction to remake society according to their crazed leftist vision. State court judges don’t have quite the same reach (thank goodness), but they can certainly wreak havoc (look at the judicial war against Trump in NYC, D.C., and Georgia to understand that). Most recently, judges on Iowa’s Supreme Court seemingly have written the Fourth Amendment right out of the Constitution. One of the most hated British acts in Colonial America was the “general warrant”

If cops (or other law officers) are smart they won't walk into someone's home on a whim. Too many cops are killed or wounded by people who really do have something to hide and feel they have nothing to lose. The Iowa law is not only unconstitutional, it is dangerous to all public servants.

The Supreme Court of Iowa may not believe the 4th Amendment is valid but according to Grok, it still is valid. Even though the SCI rules otherwise. The Eighth Circuit of Appeals applies to Iowa. They still believe in the 4th Amendment. Iowa is in for a rude awakening by abusing the 4th Amendment.

I may be mistaken, but most leases in Iowa are written with a clause that allows the landlord entry to the property with a 24 hr notice and some are written with inspections every 6 mos. I believe that this follows state tenant landlord law (which is heavily in favor of landlords anyway). If a landlord can enter any time with no notice, who is going to protect a young woman that is a tenant and a landlord that is a predator??? BTW, this is Orange City not county, there is no Orange County in Iowa.

Michelle Obama recently shared a holiday message on Instagram, lamenting how “difficult” the last few months have been, and how Americans are feeling “anxious” as we head into the New Year. "Happy holidays, everyone!” she began, keeping everything generic and non-Christmasy. “I know it’s been a difficult few months for so many of us — and that folks are feeling a little bit anxious and uncertain.” Umm, says who? The fact is, Michelle Obama’s message of anxiety and uncertainty feels wildly out of touch with the reality many Americans are experiencing. In fact, a recent CBS News/YouGov poll found that 57% of Americans are hopeful

On Sunday, December 22, a US Navy guided-missile cruiser, the USS Gettysburg, mistakenly shot down an American fighter jet over the Red Sea. This was not the first incident of friendly fire by the U.S. Navy, nor the most tragic. On Sunday morning, July 3, 1988, at the tail end of the Iran-Iraq War, an Aegis cruiser in the Persian Gulf, the USS Vincennes, fired two Standard Missiles at a commercial Iranian Airbus, IR 655. Captain Will Rogers III and his crew had mistaken the ascending passenger jet with 290 people on board for a descending Iranian F-14, a fighter plane.

Jon Michael Raasch at the Daily Mail just reported that the U.S. Marshals Service “quietly dropped” a two-year, fifteen-million-dollar deal to protect Anthony Fauci, all covered by the U.S. taxpayers of course. My initial thought? It’s about darn time, and I want to be reimbursed NOW. (I myself had no idea that on top of his outrageous “highest-ever” federal pension, he was receiving private security on my dime.) Per Raasch: Dr. Fauci, who has an estimated $11 million net worth, was constantly surrounded by U.S. Marshals at the time whether he was at home or going to TV studios to film interviews.

Recently, I was asked what I thought was the seminal event in the first quarter of the 21st Century. The past twenty-five years, beginning in January of 2000, have been fraught with wars, terrorism, religious persecution, natural disasters, political intrigue, and financial instability. Yet nothing compares to the impact, both short and long-term, of the global elites’ malevolent exploitation of the COVID-19 pandemic to permanently embed an authoritarian international world order. The politically motivated and unprecedented overreaction to a virus with a 99.5% survival rate was launched in March 2020, unleashing what can best be described as a once-in-a-century fiasco.

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s reputation has long polarized public opinion. Whereas some view him as a scientific beacon guiding the world through a pandemic, others criticize his perceived inconsistency, advocacy for extreme policies, and support for ethically questionable research. Fauci’s recent article in Clinical Infectious Diseases, subtitled “Shared Lessons from Two Pandemics,” further deepens the divide. Despite being framed as a “viewpoint” piece, the article raises serious concerns about Fauci’s injection of political bias and selective presentation of facts.

In dealing with his enemies in the Deep State, President Trump could follow one of two paths. One would be the path of peace, reconciliation, and forgiveness. This would certainly be easier in the short term and also garner approval from insiders and the media. Alternatively, he could seek to clean house and punish the worst and most insubordinate offenders from his first term. Which path Trump should take all depends on whether one believes the last eight years were normal partisan squabbles or if one believes that something monumental happened

Curiously, it was Carville who once said “When you dehumanize a group, there’s lasting consequences because they know that they’re being dehumanized.” Well dehumanize us they certainly did. The more I think about Joe Biden's pardon of his bagman/tax-cheat son, Hunter, the angrier I get — but maybe not for the reason you think. As I'm sure you're well aware by now, père Biden's blanket pardon forgives all of Hunter's transgressions going back ten years, when father (then vice president) and son were both playing footsie with Vladimir Putin's old cronies in Kyiv. Burisma? Pardoned. Million-dollar tax evasion? Ditto. Gun offenses, all of it. Then there's the Big Lie because it isn't Joe Biden without one.

Elon Musk is unabashedly pro-legal immigration, and on Christmas of all days, he ignited a firestorm by noting that a dearth of engineering talent in Silicon Valley is holding up progress on some of America's most critical technological projects. Elon is, of course, an immigrant--one of the most famous African Americans in the world, as are several high-profile entrepreneurs in the tech industry. To me his observation seemed anodyne, even obvious. America has a huge problem with illegal immigration, and there are plenty of indications that the H1B visa process is broken and needs to be fixed. Amid growing realisation that they may soon be on the hook to foot the bill,
