House Speaker Mike Johnson has reportedly canceled his speaking slot at Turning Point USA’s annual AmericaFest following the disastrous unveiling of a spending bill, largely viewed as an abject failure of his leadership.
Johnson was originally slated to appear at the event in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, joining other major speakers including Donald Trump Jr., Steve Bannon, Tucker Carlson, and President-elect Donald Trump himself. (X) Johnson’s purported withdrawal comes as he faces significant backlash due to the spending deal released on Tuesday evening, boasting well over 1,500 pages. Conservatives have continued to uncover the massive amount of pork

It is high time for the public and Trump supporters to contact their representatives in Congress who listen “to the call of the RINOs” to emasculate the Republicans who support all this pork spending as a warning that WTP will not put up with this any more!

I don't envy Mike Johnson. Seems to me he is an impossible job. Too bad he does not have the unity that Enforcer Pelosi had over Dems.
Rebooblicans have two years. Will they again blow an opportunity?

He knows he would get booed right off the stage, and deservedly so.
The very first time he capitulated to the Democrats he became a failure as speaker. When the democrats are in charge they don't reach across the aisle and give republicans any and everything they want, the republicans are lucky to get table scraps.

I can't blame him. I'd not want to face a crowd that I just tried to stab in the back the day before, either

Speaker Johnson has been given every encouragement, every consideration, invited him to that game, gave him plenty of exposure and kudos sharing in many press events after the Election Victory. Johnson is no DC newbie. He has been around the House a long time. He knew exactly what he was getting into and WANTED that Speaker gavel. Why should he get sympathy? Do your JOB, sir. You decided to canoodle with Hakeem to hurry and get this bill done and filled with Dem pork. Now he is exposed as caring no more what voters wanted for our new MAGA administration than Democrats!
No wonder we are going to see more and more disgusted MAGA House members vote against Mike for SOTH.

He is a weak little weasel. I still will never forgive Paul Ryan for his tenure over the House in Trump's first term. An absolute back-stabbing POS. Mikey better learn.

Did this dunce even have any of his staff read this thing? I reckon he never touched it...you know at 1500 pages the dumbocraps were going to slide in a couple paragraphs here and there to their benefit, hoping they wouldn't be found...
Always held that each bill should be about ONE thing, and one thing only. And limited to say, 10 pages...enough of this legal chicanery...and they say 'but nothing would ever get done that way', and I say GOOD...

Sadly, it seems that the Repubcapons, or GOP (Gelded Obama Patsies), never pass up an opportunity to pass up an opportunity. Their SOTH is chosen for possessing two critical characteristics: duplicity, i.e. say one thing, do another; and flexibility BOHICA. Mite certainly fits this job description.

I don't feel sorry for him. I didn't have any hopes from the start. Remember the democrats were very happy to support him. That alone tells you who he really is. If you want to change this, everybody in congress from the top senator to the last janitor HAS to go and at the same time. Laws have to be passed that they cannot have K street jobs after that and, of course, term limits. It will never happen but that is what we need.
