Resistance Is Futile...and Stupid

I remember the Star Trek: Next Generation series with Captain Jon-Luc Picard as the commander of the US Starship Enterprise. One of the belligerent antagonists in the series was The Borg—a sort of cyber-human entity. The Borg assimilated individuals and made them part of the "collective." Hmm, sounds like progressive socialists. When someone would attempt to resist assimilation, they would say, "You will assimilate; resistance is futile." Well, I would like to take that phrase and turn it against the progressive socialist Marxist leftists in America. Their weak and imbecilic resistance to the incoming Trump administration is not just futile, but it is also stupid...actually stuck on stupid.

The reminder about the Supremacy Clause is timely. The preening of the Sanctuary crowd is declaring their criminality. We will see what actually happens when Trump is in office and things start happening. We need a clear declaration from the administration about what they intend to do and the consequences for any illegal resistance. Then some Governors and Mayors arrested would be a good start. Something to remember, dems are good at running their mouths but awful at running almost everything else. They will be easy to catch in their criminality and as we have seen over and over, in a serious federal court, not a Mickey Mouse NY court, the TRUTH and law prevail. Trump's people will pick the most serious federal courts to start the game. There will be a minimum of grandstanding, and convictions WILL happen. Appeals will fail. With such precedents in place other courts will be less likely to play games and other politicians will feel the Sword of Damocles hovering over them. With the propaganda media in collapse, we should be able to have a much more rational national conversation about ILLEGAL immigrants and border control.

Republican Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma placed a hold on the promotion of Lt. Gen. Christopher Donahue that would have elevated him to lead U.S. Army forces in Europe. Donahue is currently a three-star general who was nominated to become a four-star general by President Joe Biden earlier this month. Donahue was one of the top military officials overseeing the disastrous withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan. Mullin, who was serving in the House of Representatives at the time of the withdrawal, tried to lead his own outside efforts to extract Americans from Afghanistan, but was repeatedly stymied by the State Department and the Pentagon.

President Trump will remove transgender servicemembers from the military by executive order on day one of his presidency. “The ban is expected to be wider ranging than a similar order made during his first term in office, when Trump prevented transgender people joining the armed forces, but allowed those already serving to keep their jobs. President Biden rescinded the order, but this time even those with decades of service will be removed from their posts, according to several sources,” The Times reported.

Leftists who were part of the so-called “Resistance” movement against President-elect Donald Trump in 2016 are now facing a “disillusionment with activism” after the Republican won again this November, political scientists and organizers have realized. In a Sunday report titled “The Resistance goes quiet,” Axios aimed to explain why the left wing has not erupted into widespread protests like what occurred when Trump beat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton eight years ago. Lisa Mueller, a political science professor at Macalester College, said female Democrat voters are more disappointed than shocked this time around.

Ex-Florida congressman and onetime US Attorney General hopeful Matt Gaetz has launched a Cameo account, where he is raking in cash by cutting videos for the public. The far-right pol, accused in a sex scandal, was charging $525+ a pop as of 3 p.m. Sunday and enjoying a five-star rating on the platform, where users can pay for videos from famous celebrities. “Now listen, I may not be the Attorney General, the most powerful law enforcement officer in the land — for now,” said the GOP former rep in a message on the platform — following in the footsteps of fellow Cameo celeb and lying Long Island ex-Congressman George Santos (R-NY).

President Joe Biden jokingly urged a roomful of Democratic donors and insiders not to jump in the White House pool at a weekend dinner to thank them before he leaves office. But some attendees still felt all wet after the election. “Good evening everyone . . . If you have a seat, please take it. Don’t jump in the pool!” Biden said to laughs at the tented black-tie soiree on the White House South Lawn, where the pool and fountain are located. “[First Lady] Jill [Biden] and I are hosting this dinner tonight for a very simple reason — to say thank you. After President-elect Donald Trump won the election, the Biden-Harris State Department is under fire for hosting in-house therapy sessions for employees. A Free Beacon report found that outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken spent federal money on at least two sessions, which a source described as a "cry session” for people to deal with Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss. In a letter to Blinken, Republican Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) expressed concern that the State Department was coddling its employees even though their preferred candidate did not win the election. “I am concerned that the Department is catering to federal employees who are personally devastated

Washington State’s Attorney General Bob Ferguson once joked about the Trump administration’s many legal missteps when making policy during his first term in office, asking his team, “Do you guys think a lawyer looked at this?” As President-elect Donald Trump gears up for another term, Ferguson isn’t laughing anymore, and neither are Democratic officials in blue states, according to a New York Times report. There is a growing sense of apprehension among Democratic leaders related to their ability to challenge Trump’s policies this time around. Unlike his first administration, where procedural missteps made it easier for Democrats to successfully challenge his order, Trump appears better prepared.

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a 7-minute speech Thursday and explained that Russia used a new medium-range missile with a hypersonic payload in its strike on Ukraine. It was essentially a test that worked perfectly. As part of what Putin called a “combat test,” the hypersonic missile, dubbed Hazel, successfully struck a military-industrial facility in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, the Russian president added. The strike was a response to Ukrainian attacks on military facilities located on internationally recognized Russian territory, the president stated. Kiev’s forces launched the strikes on Tuesday and Thursday, using US-made ATACMS and HIMARS systems as well as British-made Storm Shadow missiles, he said.

Among the many benefits of Donald Trump’s re-election that our nation and the world are already experiencing is the forever tarnished legacy of Barack Obama. In 2028, will the Democrat candidate want Obama to go on the campaign trail for him or her? I doubt it. Obama's Un-enduring Influence When he was elected president (assuming that massive Democratic cheating was not in full swing in 2008), Democrats held a commanding 55- to 45-seat majority in the U.S. Senate and an overwhelming 256- to 179-seat majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Pam Bondi, Trump’s nominee for Attorney General now that Matt Gaetz has withdrawn, is an interesting choice. On the one hand, she seems like a conservative attack dog and comes out of Ron DeSantis’s Florida, which argues that she’s solid. On the other hand, a lot of RINOs are awfully pleased that she’s been named, which is always worrisome. One other worrisome thing is how she handled the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case back in as Florida’s AG twelve years ago. Sundance, at Conservative Treehouse, has written a detailed analysis

It's a "disaster," some of the representatives claimed. The $300 billion in aid would come "from a wide variety of sources, public and private, bilateral and multilateral, including alternative sources." Nigeria branded the deal "a joke." Ralph Regenvanu, envoy for the island nation of Vanuatu, stated: "The dollar amounts pledged and the emissions reductions promised are not enough. They were never going to be enough.

The whiplash-inducing, “Hunger Games”-style race to become Donald Trump’s Treasury secretary made it easy for the media to ignore what has been going on with Janet Yellen — and the absolute mess she’s leaving for her successor. Yellen — who, it was revealed Friday, will be replaced as Treasury secretary in January by hedge fund mogul Scott Bessent — was Joe Biden’s pick to run the office that is essentially the country’s CFO. Indeed, it could be the most important cabinet position in the White House given the importance of the US economy. Americans put Trump in office largely over his handling of the economy during his first term —

Trump’s electoral victory has advanced the demise of MSNBC and CNN for good reason. The fall of NBC, ABC, and CBS should follow. Each of these so-called news outlets has betrayed their viewers for as long as they have been on the air. They consistently misled their viewers day after day to the point that Trump’s victory was a major shock to their systems. Those blinkered viewers sadly believed what those networks told them -- that Trump could not possibly win, that Harris would win in a landslide. They misled their viewers so egregiously that those who only watched those outlets were understandably shocked by Trump’s win.

For a host of reasons, it became convenient for progressives to suggest that large numbers were fleeing Florida in search of a better life. When Florida governor Ron DeSantis was a GOP presidential frontrunner, liberal Democrats dug up every scrap of information suggesting he was an ineffective governor, noting that thousands were fleeing his state as a result of his supposedly poor governance. When Trump became the GOP nominee, the attack on Trump’s adopted home state continued. Hundreds if not thousands of articles were generated implying that Trump’s adopted home state was such a disaster that there was a mass exodus. The reality is just the opposite.
