Can Trump End Ukraine’s ‘Endless War?’

Original Article

Trump was elected in part on promises to avoid “endless wars” of the sort that cost American blood and treasure in Afghanistan and Iraq but without resulting in strategic advantage or civilized calm.Yet as a Jacksonian, Trump also restored American deterrence through punitive strikes against ISIS and terrorist thugs like Baghdadi and Soleimani—without being bogged down in costly follow-ups. During the last four administrations, Putin stayed within his borders only during the Trump four years.

No, he cannot end them. He can tilt the table giving Russia and Ukraine reasons/cover to quit crapping in their own living rooms.

The Desiccated Corpse's handlers seem intent on making it impossible to do so. These ghouls would be happy to burn it all down rather than give up power, or be exposed to have been on certain visitor lists. Scary.

I don't know if he can stop them but I firmly believe that there wouldn't have been a war if the Democrats had not cheated to put Joebama in the White House. At least now the foreign powers know we have a President. A real President and VP.

Trump should play the diplomat and seek a cessation of all hostilities with a plan for free and fair elections in Ukraine in two years. Trump should also stop economic aid to Ukraine and assume a completely neutral position on the outcome. He should replace the US embassy, State Department, and all intelligence operations in Ukraine, removing the globalist, Neocon ideologues with open-minded statesmen who have an historical understanding of the regional conflicts and Putin's political ambitions. Putin can support candidates for Ukraine's parliament. At the same time, Ukrainian nationalist parties can put up their slate, and the people will decide which way they want to go, just as the states in the US voted to join the federal government. Putin must publicly agree to the outcome either way, or it's a nonstarter.

The slaughter of young Russians and Ukrainians needs to stop. It never will as long as both sides have the money and will to continue. The USA can stop the funding sent to the Ukraine immediately. If the US starts drilling for petroleum and natural gas and sells it to the markets that supplies Russia with their money it could stop. Once they are both reduced to throwing rocks at each other maybe it will end.

South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune on Sunday threatened to slap the International Criminal Court (ICC) with sanctions if it did not drop its application for an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Thune – who was selected Wednesday to be the next Senate Majority Leader once the GOP takes the upper chamber come January 2025 – warned that if the current Democratic leader does not take on the international court, he will. "If the ICC and its prosecutor do not reverse their outrageous and unlawful actions to pursue arrest warrants against Israeli officials, the Senate should immediately pass sanctions legislation, as the House has already done

Senate Republicans opted to delay votes and draw out floor action on Monday night after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., sought to stack additional judicial confirmation votes on the calendar ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Two sources familiar told Fox News Digital that the plan to slow down the Senate was spearheaded by Senate Minority Whip John Thune, R-S.D., who was recently elected as the next Republican Senate leader. "If Sen. Schumer thought Senate Republicans would just roll over and allow him to quickly confirm multiple Biden-appointed judges to lifetime jobs

MSNBC staffers are lashing out at "Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski after they shocked their liberal viewers by revealing their recent Mar-a-Lago meeting with President-elect Donald Trump. "Cowardice," one MSNBC employee reacted to Fox News Digital. "Doing exactly what [anti-Trump historian] Tim Snyder warns on our air not to do: obey in advance. It’s disgusting but frankly unsurprising." The source said MSNBC's rank and file are now "largely disdainful" of the network's morning stars, saying it "feels like they are just opportunistic.”

Senate Republicans slammed their Democrat counterparts in the chamber for moving forward with a "partisan" Homeland Security appropriations bill that they say has "substantial flaws" and will leave the incoming Trump administration without the resources they need to fix the border crisis. Senate Committee on Appropriations ranking member Susan Collins, R-Maine, said in a statement that Democrats' leadership has led to a "unilateral decision from the Majority to post a partisan measure on a critical appropriations bill that is meant to help secure our borders and combat the surge of deadly fentanyl and other illegal narcotics flooding our communities."

While the nomination of Pete Hegseth stunned me at first, upon further reflection its genius became clear. Donald Trump isn’t bringing Pete Hegseth, a decorated Infantry major and longtime Fox host, into the Pentagon to don the green eye shades and closely manage every element of the military behemoth like a reborn Robert McNamara. Trump hired Hegseth to channel George Patton and apply a jump boot to the buttocks of our deadweight military along with an injection of combat arms leadership and attitude.

When Kamala Harris finally conceded after Donald Trump’s decisive victory, she defiantly proclaimed “While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign…That is a fight I will never give up.” What is she talking about? Harris’ campaign focused on only two topics: Donald Trump is an unhinged, unstable dangerous fascist, and unfettered abortion is good. She was fluent about, and committed to these concerns. But, what else was fueling the fight?

There’s almost nothing worse than getting dumped. You’ve done everything right. You had all the money in the world — a billion dollars! You had all the celebrities — Harrison Ford, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Barbra Streisand! Who could ask for anything more? Well, it turns out 76 million people. This wasn’t just a “don’t call me, I’ll call you” or “we can still be friends” or “maybe someday in the future we could…” No, this was a “get lost, lose my number, forget you ever knew me” kind of break-up. The Democrats aren’t handling it well, to put it mildly.

The 2024 presidential election was not simply a contest of personalities or parties; it was a decisive stand taken by Americans against a set of ideologies and social constructs that have increasingly dominated the national conversation. This wasn’t just about whether Kamala Harris or Donald Trump won or lost. It was about a clear rejection of divisive, impractical, and sometimes destructive ideas that have reshaped the fabric of our society in ways that feel fundamentally out of step with the values of the vast majority.

On this very terrain, four years ago, I asserted that we can “never again” allow an election like 2020 to happen. I’m back to say that despite Trump’s near landslide, America’s election system is still broken. And the time to fix it is immediately, while President Trump has the wind at his back with a Republican Congress and the public on his side. You most clearly see a broken election system when the margins are extremely tight. We saw it in 2020 when approximately 40,000 votes in key states tipped the election, and not so much in 2024. But rest assured, the public still lacks confidence in the integrity of our elections

Since Election Day, the Trump transition has been copying and pasting the same quote again and again into emails to reporters seeking comment on this or that presidential appointment. “President-Elect Trump will begin making decisions on who will serve in his second Administration soon,” Trump transition spokesperson Karoline Leavitt always writes without fail. “Those decisions will be announced when they are made.” The boilerplate delivers an obvious truth that many in Washington, D.C., find uncomfortable or, in some cases, unimaginable: The president-elect alone, not his senior staff, and certainly not any outside organization, is calling the shots.

It’s high time to shatter the myth of Nancy Pelosi as a master strategist. Nobody deserves more blame than the ridiculously self-titled “speaker emerita” for the Democrats’ $1 billion electoral collapse. Under her ruthless leadership, her party lost the White House, the House, the Senate and the popular vote. You can’t say that enough. Voters rejected the Dems coast to coast, even in Pelosi’s deepest-blue home city of San Francisco, which saw a 7-point swing to Donald Trump. She’s the only speaker in history to have lost control of the House twice. She’s finished.

Leftists have a master plan to ensure that President-elect Donald Trump’s economy tanks: They are not going to buy anything. Leftists across the country are still reeling from Trump’s historic comeback victory, which saw him sweeping all seven swing states, garnering 312 electoral votes and also winning the popular vote after making historic gains in traditionally blue areas. There was a sizable shift in the electorate and a clear mandate for change, but some leftists ardently disagree and have a plan to tank what everyone anticipates to be a strong economy under Trump’s leadership.

The one person who knew that the Joe Biden presidency was something other than “Obama’s third term” was Barack Obama. If Obama had any illusions about his control over events, he was rudely disabused of them on July 21, 2024. Biden had not consulted with his former boss either on his decision to drop out nor on his decision to endorse Harris. At 12:46 p.m. EDT, Biden posted on X his intention to withdraw.
