I won’t bother discussing the nonsense currently being trafficked by the media except to note that comparing Republican presidential candidates to Hitler is a playbook older than Joe Biden.
Back in 2016, I picked out some select moments from “Every Republican is Hitler” history: “If the British had not fought in 1940, Hitler would have been in London and if Democrats do not fight in 1968, Nixon will be in the White House.” Vice President Hubert Humphrey.
Chicago Mayor Daley accused Nixon of “Hitler-type” tactics.
“Goldwater’s acceptance speech had the stench of fascism. All we needed to hear was Heil Hitler.” Governor Pat Brown of California

One more time for posterity.
"Existential threat to democracy" is too long to type so please just use "Trump is Hitler."
Reminder:
DJT did not hire a foreign spy to cook up a phony dossier on his opponent which led to a media saturation and investigation against his opponent. That was done TO HIM not by him.
DJT did not have media assassins "fortify" the election on his behalf as reported in Time (https://time.com/5936036/secret-2020-election-campaign/). That was done TO HIM not by him.
DJT did not weaponize the United States spying apparatus to surveil his opponents or the media. That was done TO HIM not by him.
DJT did not weaponize corrupt state AGs to jail his opponent on grounds so creative it required changing laws or applying them in unprecedented ways that are already melting in the appellet review. That happened TO HIM Not by him.
Since we now live in the country of Gaslight, it might be good to recall these things so we can remember who is acting as a totalitarian regime and who has been victimized by one.
Had 1930s Germany known the information that we know, we might have avoided WWII. Thanks to the mindless woke left, we now contemplate WWIII.

And Kamala is Stalin.
This works both ways.

That's a really rich accusation coming from the party that employs the police powers of the state to persecute, jail, and spy on their political opponents.

If there was no Hitler, Democrats would be at a loss to who they can compare their political opponents to. Stalin was a good guy to them, so, he wouldn’t do as a villain.

Hitler becomes more of an international hero with every US election. Back in his day he was just another murderous lunatic with a chip on his shoulder, just like most democrats who run in our elections.

This was a great article. Oh my - the sainted former Rep. Lantos smearing Republicans as Nazis is "rich" coming from him. And of course, one more reason that MLK is way overhyped as some beacon of intelligent thought. Son of the South who knew very well that the KKK was a Democrat creation and not Republican.

Hitler is the replacement for basket-of-deplorables. Both terms are slanderous lies. It seems that invoking Hitler fires people up so much that some people feel it is okay to assassinate Trump. After at least two assassination attempts you would think civilized people would refrain calling anyone that. Instead, Democrats have doubled down on calling Trump, and, his supporters that. One might believe they are trying to get people killed.

There was a web page during W's presidency that had 100,000 photos, statements, etc. comparing Bush to Hitler. They said they stopped at 100,000 when they could have gone to a million but the cost of the web server was prohibitive and anyway they made their point.

“Goldwater’s acceptance speech had the stench of fascism. All we needed to hear was Heil Hitler.” Did Pat Brown know who wrote that speech? It's my understanding that Harry Jaffa wrote that speech. Professor Jaffa was Jewish. Here's the line he wrote that probably upset the Marxists most of all - "I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."

If I recall, the 1920's and 1930's Progressives (Democrats) were so shocked that their language and rhetoric was being used by the National Socialist Workers Party so effectively that they changed their affiliation to Liberals.

I would be surprised if many young people today even know exactly who Hitler was. What they "know", thanks to Democrat indoctrination, is, "Hitler = Bad Man", "Trump = Bad Man". Therefore, with impeccable liberal logic, "Trump = Hitler ".
