The Justice Department warned Elon Musk’s America PAC in recent days that his $1 million sweepstakes to registered voters in swing states may violate federal law, people briefed on the matter told CNN.
Musk, who has thrown his support behind former President Donald Trump and is spending millions of dollars supporting his candidacy, has publicized the $1 million prize by his political action committee aiming to increase voter registrations in hotly contested states. Musk’s initial promise to pay prizes to registered voters immediately raised concerns from election law experts and some state officials

Homeland Security greenlighted refugee applications for Venezuelan gang members after immigration officers failed to spot their gang tattoos, The Washington Times has learned.
Kevin Grigsby, head of refugee operations at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, said “several” members of the vicious Tren de Aragua gang were approved and made it to the U.S. border before a different agency spotted the tattoos and blocked them from entering.
Experts said tattoos are a common indicator of gang membership and expressed shock that USCIS was missing those red flags

Female athletes worldwide have lost nearly 900 medals to transgender-identifying male competitors who have intruded into women’s sports. “The replacement of the female sports category with a mixed-sex category has resulted in an increasing number of female athletes losing opportunities, including medals, when competing against males,” the report said.
Titled “Violence against women and girls in sports,” the August study conducted by the United Nations found that by March 30, 2024, over 600 female athletes in more than 400 women’s division events across 29 different sports were defeated by transgender-identifying men. Male athletes have taken over 890 medals from female athletes, the report said.

Vice President Kamala Harris said Tuesday night she would reject religious exemptions for abortion as president, effectively forcing health-care providers to perform the medical procedure in violation of their moral conscience.
The Democratic presidential nominee has been adamant about passing a bill that would codify Roe v. Wade into law, despite the Supreme Court overturning that decision in 2022. In an interview with NBC News anchor Hallie Jackson, Harris indicated she would refuse to compromise with Republican lawmakers on the abortion legislation. “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom

Vice President Kamala Harris warned Americans about her “increasingly unhinged and unstable” opponent Donald Trump in a rare address from her residence on Wednesday, after Trump’s former chief of staff cautioned that the president would rule as a “fascist.”
John Kelly, Trump’s longest-serving chief of staff, has publicly criticized Trump many times, but escalated his attacks this week, saying that if the definition of fascism is “a far-right movement with a dictatorial leader and forcible suppression of opposition,” then his former boss “falls into the definition of a fascist.” In an interview with The Atlantic, Kelly said that Trump had praised Adolf Hitler

Armed assailants launched a deadly “terror” attack on Turkey’s state-run aerospace company near the capital Ankara on Wednesday, government officials said.
At least four people were killed and 14 injured – with three in critical condition – in the “terrorist attack” on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) headquarters in the outskirts of Ankara, said Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. Two attackers – a man and a woman – were killed, he added.
“I condemn this heinous attack. Our fight will continue with determination and determination until the last terrorist is neutralized,” Yerlikaya said. “May God have mercy on our martyrs. I wish a speedy recovery to our injured.”

Dodgers legend and six-time All-Star Fernando Valenzuela died on Tuesday night, Major League Baseball announced.
He was 63.
No cause of death was given. "Fernando Valenzuela was one of the most impactful players of his generation,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement on Tuesday night. “With his distinctive pitching style, the Dodgers left-hander’s rookie season generated so much excitement in the U.S. and his native Mexico that it became commonly referred to as ‘Fernandomania.’ His 1981 season ranks among the most decorated pitching years of all-time as Fernando was the National League Rookie of the Year, the NL Cy Young Award winner, a Silver Slugger and a World Series champion.

The Pentagon denied that Ariane Tabatabai, Chief of Staff of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations, is a subject of interest in the investigation for the alleged leak of classified documents pertaining to Israel's plans for a retaliatory attack against Iran.
"To my knowledge, this official is not a subject of interest," said Press Secretary of the Air Force, Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier Tuesday, Sky News Arabia cited a senior Pentagon official who reportedly named Tabatabai as the main suspect in the FBI's investigation into the leaks. According to Sky News, Tabatabai came under fire in 2023 after members of Congress wrote

The source of last week’s leak of U.S. intelligence about Israel’s plans to strike Iran, which has occasioned an investigation, isn’t yet known. What should be obvious, though, is that no individual who has had extensive contact with Iranian intelligence and diplomatic officials, and who has deferred to the direction of those officials before, should have ever been put in a sensitive position in the first place.
The Biden administration has ignored this rather simple rule.
The most glaring example of its questionable handling of the Iran portfolio is Biden Iran envoy Robert Malley’s continued employment by the State Department amid a probe into his handling

Bill Gates is joining Elon Musk in spending tens of millions of dollars to back his preferred presidential candidate.
They’re not the same candidate.
According to a report Tuesday in the New York Times, the founder of Microsoft has donated about $50 million to a “dark money” group backing the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris. Citing “three people briefed on the matter,” the Times reported that Mr. Gates sent the money to the pro-Harris fundraising group Future Forward.

WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden turned the tables on Donald Trump on Tuesday, suggesting the time has come to “lock him up” – at least politically.
Speaking to campaign workers in New Hampshire, Biden warned that democracy is at stake in the Nov. 5 election and that Americans should think about what will happen if Trump wins.
Biden, who defeated Trump in the 2020 election, said the former president thinks he has a right under a recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity “to actually eliminate, physically eliminate – shoot, kill – someone who is, he believes, to be a threat to him.” “If I said this five years ago,

Prediction: by next week, Barack Obama will be the only person campaigning for Kamala Harris, and he will be sending signals that Trump really isn't that bad, you know.
In my VIP post earlier today I wrote about Kamala Harris' disappearance from the campaign trail today. She is taking a break from getting in front of voters and instead will do two pre-recorded interviews with friendly reporters. Just now I read that Gwen Walz, Tim Walz's crazy-eyed wife who speaks down to every person she meets as if they were kindergarteners, has canceled a trip to Maine in a fit of pique.
