The 2024 election cycle has come down to its final fortnight. Every moment of campaign time takes on huge importance, especially considering how close the presidential race appears to be. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris need to make every minute count in the places where this election will be won or lost. And as much as I love my adopted state of Texas, this ain't one of those places. So why will Kamala Harris spend a day in Houston on Friday? Especially for an event that doesn't have a venue yet? Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Houston Friday to cap off the first week of early voting in Texas

She is not going to the blue wall states because the democrats running there don't want her. They would rather pretend they can work with Trump in order to get elected. Kamala would just mess that up for them.

Earth to Ed: it's not close. But I wouldn't expect any less from a wimp who just couldn't bear Trump's angry tweets.

Dodgers legend and six-time All-Star Fernando Valenzuela died on Tuesday night, Major League Baseball announced. He was 63. No cause of death was given. "Fernando Valenzuela was one of the most impactful players of his generation,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement on Tuesday night. “With his distinctive pitching style, the Dodgers left-hander’s rookie season generated so much excitement in the U.S. and his native Mexico that it became commonly referred to as ‘Fernandomania.’ His 1981 season ranks among the most decorated pitching years of all-time as Fernando was the National League Rookie of the Year, the NL Cy Young Award winner, a Silver Slugger and a World Series champion.

The Pentagon denied that Ariane Tabatabai, Chief of Staff of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations, is a subject of interest in the investigation for the alleged leak of classified documents pertaining to Israel's plans for a retaliatory attack against Iran. "To my knowledge, this official is not a subject of interest," said Press Secretary of the Air Force, Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters on Tuesday afternoon. Earlier Tuesday, Sky News Arabia cited a senior Pentagon official who reportedly named Tabatabai as the main suspect in the FBI's investigation into the leaks. According to Sky News, Tabatabai came under fire in 2023 after members of Congress wrote

The source of last week’s leak of U.S. intelligence about Israel’s plans to strike Iran, which has occasioned an investigation, isn’t yet known. What should be obvious, though, is that no individual who has had extensive contact with Iranian intelligence and diplomatic officials, and who has deferred to the direction of those officials before, should have ever been put in a sensitive position in the first place. The Biden administration has ignored this rather simple rule. The most glaring example of its questionable handling of the Iran portfolio is Biden Iran envoy Robert Malley’s continued employment by the State Department amid a probe into his handling

Citing “three people briefed on the matter,” the Times reported that Mr. Gates sent the money to the pro-Harris fundraising group Future Forward. “Mr. Gates has talked about his pro-Harris donation with his peers, including Mike Bloomberg, the former New York City mayor and a major supporter of Future Forward

WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden turned the tables on Donald Trump on Tuesday, suggesting the time has come to “lock him up” – at least politically. Speaking to campaign workers in New Hampshire, Biden warned that democracy is at stake in the Nov. 5 election and that Americans should think about what will happen if Trump wins. Biden, who defeated Trump in the 2020 election, said the former president thinks he has a right under a recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity “to actually eliminate, physically eliminate – shoot, kill – someone who is, he believes, to be a threat to him.” “If I said this five years ago,

Prediction: by next week, Barack Obama will be the only person campaigning for Kamala Harris, and he will be sending signals that Trump really isn't that bad, you know. In my VIP post earlier today I wrote about Kamala Harris' disappearance from the campaign trail today. She is taking a break from getting in front of voters and instead will do two pre-recorded interviews with friendly reporters. Just now I read that Gwen Walz, Tim Walz's crazy-eyed wife who speaks down to every person she meets as if they were kindergarteners, has canceled a trip to Maine in a fit of pique.

WASHINGTON — Russia and Iran may try to encourage violent protests in the U.S. after next month’s election, senior intelligence officials warned Tuesday, citing two recent examples of foreign intelligence agencies seeking to sow discord ahead of the vote. The officials, with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, said both countries could support violent protests either by covertly organizing events themselves or by encouraging participation in those planned by domestic groups. The aim, the officials said, would be to increase division, cast doubt on election results and complicate the transfer of presidential power. In January, Russian military intelligence tried to recruit an American to organize protests in the U.S.

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing possible “serious danger” in Nevada as Republicans have opened what amounts to an unprecedented-in-modern-times lead in early voting over Democrats. Jon Ralston of the Nevada Independent, reporting on the early vote numbers showing a GOP lead, flashed the warning to Democrats late Monday evening out west. Ralston noted that since the rise of the political machine that the late former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid built for Democrats this has never happened. “Republicans lead statewide in Nevada after three days of early voting and mail ballot counting,”

Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris has repeatedly failed to earn the endorsement of reliably Democrat organizations and newspapers this year, and now it's being reported that she's lost the Los Angeles Times endorsement. The LA Times endorsed her for U.S. Senate over Barbara Boxer in 2016 and endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020, but they're not going to endorse any candidate this year. Semafor had the scoop: Last week, the LA Times published its electoral endorsements for the 2024 election. And while the paper noted in its first line that it is “no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation,”

The Defense Department is tapping top tech talent to join the Army and Navy reserves, according to The Wall Street Journal. Senior professionals, such as chief technology officers, would hold high-ranking positions within the reserves while keeping their day jobs. The military would summon them occasionally to assist with short-term cybersecurity and data analytics projects. Tech reservists would complete the same training as the other 700,000 US military reservists, including one weekend a month and two weeks a year. However, they would not be called to serve in battle.

When Vice President Kamala Harris pushed President Joe Biden aside to seize the Democratic Party presidential nomination, the move was universally praised by those with a rooting interest. Sure, Harris had a history of being an inauthentic, unlikable politician, but she wasn't going to melt down on a debate stage due to accelerating senility. After spending years suggesting the vice president might need to be booted from the 2024 ticket, the press and Democrats alike (but I repeat myself) were suddenly convinced she was the best option to lead it. To be fair, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Biden's situation was certainly desperate.

Two impeachments, 88 felony counts (with guilty verdicts on 34 of them), a massive fine, two assassination attempts, unrelentingly hostile media coverage, a last-minute candidate switcheroo, and Donald Trump is still showing signs that he will win the election in two weeks. So, what do Democrats still have up their sleeve to stop Trump? They must have something. Back in May, we asked what the Democrats’ Plan B was if their lawfare campaign against Trump failed, and offered five options – four of which have come to pass. Here is what we said then.

Do you believe in miracles? Throughout history, inexplicable events have occurred yet naysayers refuse to name them miracles preferring to call them a lucky coincidence. In 1980, however, when the young USA team won the Olympic winter game against the behemoth Russian team and then went on to win the gold, it was called, "the miracle on ice". The following year, a movie by that name debuted and another one opened in 2004 about the same "miracle. I wouldn't call this event a miracle which was the result of hard work but I'll bet some of the players followed the rule of getting a ‘miracle'. What was it, you may ask?
