Our Current Government Is No Longer Constitutional

September 17 was Constitution Day, a day set aside for American patriots to commemorate the moment 237 years ago, when delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed that document. It’s all the day when a prominent Philadelphia matron, Elizabeth Willing Powel, ambushed Benjamin Franklin as he left Constitution Hall. Spying Franklin, she pounced with the interrogatory, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” This is the famous question to which Franklin uttered his famous response: “A republic, if you can keep it!” Today’s patriots commemorate this brief colloquy precisely because of the chilling fact that we haven’t “kept” that republic. The headline was objectionable because it was such an understatement; but the article does justice to what is lacking in the headline.

Requiring Congress to "go to work" is the questionable part. Doing work means taking responsibility for the results and most Congressman are responsibility adverse. They would rather create an agency with broad, vague power and then let the bureaucrats run amuck and do nothing unless it becomes a huge mess. We may have unaccountable agencies but we also have unaccountable elected representatives.

Trump could scrap Education Dept., up
school choice and boost education for all

On the campaign trail this month, former President Donald Trump has repeatedly vowed to “close the federal Department of Education” and expand school choice — a wildly popular concept that cuts across party lines, new polling shows. Good news: If he wins the White House again, he can do both. The federal Department of Education is an unconstitutional waste of time and money. Its very existence arguably violates the Tenth Amendment: The word “education” appears nowhere in the Constitution. The federal government has spent well over a trillion dollars on K-12 education since the department’s inception, while failing to improve student performance.

If former President Donald Trump wins Georgia for the first time since 2016, it’ll be because he succeeded in getting a key demographic to come out for him during ongoing early voting and on Election Day. That’s what an East Carolina University poll shows, with more than one in five black men in the Peach State down with the Donald. Twenty-two percent of the group backs Trump, with Democrat Kamala Harris at 74% and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 4%.

A lot was going on with this panel. At times, it was even-keeled, with Brian Stelter noting that Donald Trump had some good jokes at the Al Smith Dinner, which Kamala Harris infamously skipped because she’d embarrass herself. There was also a moment to study the density of the liberal media bubble, which still thinks that Donald Trump is going to jail journalists and his political enemies, which no one cares about. That’s the funny part about this whole circus—they think they know what voters are genuinely concerned about, and they don’t.

North Carolina’s Asheville Police Department is trying to find the owners of dozens of family photos that were found by first responders who sifted through the rubble from Hurricane Helene. “Amid the debris and devastation wrought by the Swannanoa and French Broad rivers, APD officers found and saved dozens of family photographs that survived the storm,” the department said in a Thursday post to Facebook. “Though the water was strong enough to demolish buildings, uproot trees, and bend and tear steel, it could not wash away the memories contained within these photos. The Asheville Police Department would therefore like to see them returned to their rightful owners.”

Kamala Harris couldn’t even answer a few softball questions from NBC’s Peter Alexander after she delivered remarks in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Peter Alexander asked Kamala Harris if there is one policy she would have done differently over the past 3.5 years than Joe Biden. The last time Kamala Harris was asked this question, she totally bombed and said she would do nothing different. So she came up with a new answer. This time, Kamala Harris said ‘vice presidents are not critical of their presidents.’ “President Biden said every president has to cut their own path. What is one policy you would have done differently over these last three and a half years t

Donald Trump slammed Kamala Harris on Friday describing her as a 'loser who doesn't go to any events' after she described him as being 'exhausted' on the campaign trail. Democrat Harris raised questions about Republican Trump's physical stamina to serve effectively as president as the two rivals tore through the deadlocked battleground state of Michigan on Friday. Harris, who turns 60 on Sunday, pressed the case to raise doubts about the 78-year-old Trump. Age had been an issue when President Joe Biden, 81, was still in the race, but had faded after he dropped his election bid.

Former President Donald Trump promised a “stunning rebirth” of Detroit during a rally in the Motor City on Friday that was marred by technical difficulties. Trump, 78, blamed Democrats and “globalist politicians” – including President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris – for Detroit’s decline, while making the case that his plan to impose “massive tariffs” on vehicles imported from Mexico will bring about a resurgence in Michigan’s largest city. “Detroit has such great potential,” the Republican nominee argued. “But Kamala and the Democrats have been wreaking havoc on this place.”

Donald Trump served up a “Turkey” roast to Eric Adams at the Al Smith Dinner — and the mayor is gobbling it up. The former president peppered the star-studded crowd at Thursday’s swanky white-tie event with jokes and gripes, including a zinger aimed at both Adams’ plant-based diet and alleged taste for Turkish graft. “I’ve never met a person who’s a vegan who liked Turkey so much,” Trump said about Adams, who was seated nearby. (Photo) Adams laughed off the burn when asked about it Friday, describing it as par the course for the annual Catholic fundraiser, where muckety-mucks yuck it up at each others’ expense.

Former President Donald Trump campaigned in Michigan on Friday with the Arab American mayor who previously endorsed him. Trump visited the city of Hamtramck, and was seen campaigning with Hamtramck Mayor Ameer Ghalib during a press conference. Ghalib noted that the Democrat Party was trying to “scare” legal second and third-generation immigrants in the Arab American and Muslim-American community that Trump was coming to “deport them.” “They say every week — they have a different concept for me, ‘I’m going to be the biggest dictator in the world. It shouldn't be considered incredibly brave for Vice President Kamala Harris to consent to an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News. J.D. Vance has been doing hostile Sunday shows for months while Harris resorted to the basement strategy. Then, once Team Kamala booked a "media blitz," they bizarrely went on offense. Mediaite posted this headline: "Kamala Harris Hammers Trump Avoiding Debate and Tough Interviews: He'd 'Rather Cocoon Himself in Safe Spaces' of Conservative Media." This was after she appeared in a cavalcade of cocoon interviews with Howard Stern, Stephen Colbert and the unanimous Democrats on "The View."

Washington— The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s 2020 election interference case made public Friday a heavily redacted trove of documents that provide a small glimpse into the evidence prosecutors will present if the case ever goes to trial. The nearly 1,900 pages of documents collected by special counsel Jack Smith’s team were initially filed under seal to help U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan decide what allegations can proceed to trial following the Supreme Court opinion in July that conferred broad immunity on former presidents for official acts they take in office. No, it’s not “the economy, stupid,” in spite of the schizophrenic stock market since our remarkably resilient capitalistic economy ran head-on into the socialist-cum-communist Biden-Harris regime, with its $1.8-trillion deficit. And no, it’s not domestic policy, where we have had the luxury of being on the receiving end of these: High taxes. High food prices. High gas prices. Sky-high regulations. Alarmingly high crime rates throughout the country, particularly in states run by Democrats, where arrests are few, bail is nonexistent, and raging criminals enjoy no consequences for their assaults, rapes, murders, racist attacks, etc.

Sometimes “What if?” questions are merely counterfactual academic exercises. Sometimes, however, they are existential conundrums. The question, “What if Kamala Harris wins the 2024 presidential election?” belongs firmly in the latter category. As I have noted elsewhere, I believe Donald Trump will not only win, but win resoundingly. All the same, the huge influx of illegal immigrants, strategically managed by Biden and Harris to be maximally advantageous, combined with the disastrous state of our voter rolls, might mean even if Trump wins, he doesn’t end up in the Oval Office. So: what if? Imagine you are a mini-Rip Van Winkle. You sink into a deep slumber

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) quietly revised its crime data for 2022, less than three weeks until the Nov. 5 election and conveniently after presidential and vice presidential debates. Vice President Kamala Harris must be breathing a sigh of relief knowing that the FBI waited until the last possible moment to correct the nation’s 2023 violent crime data report. It initially reported that the rate fell by 2.1% in 2022 but has since been updated to show it actually increased by 4.5%, proving Republicans’ claims that violent crime is plaguing the nation.

Turns out, it’s been doing the same with crime statistics … this time to make it look like violent crime is on the way down. RealClearInvestigations dug into the FBI’s data and found that the law enforcement agency had been criminally misreporting crime statistics in a way that just happened to help Biden-Harris look like it’s been tough on crime. Last fall, for example, the FBI reported that violent crime had dropped by 2.1% in 2022.
