An appeals court slashed former President Trump's bond payment on Monday, saying Trump must pay $175 million within the next 10 days. Trump had previously faced a Monday deadline to pay a $454 million bond payment that came as a result of civil fraud allegations from New York Attorney General Letitia James. A New York Appeals Court, hours before the deadline to post the $454 million, lowered that bond considerably. The court ordered that Trump post $175 million within 10 days. Trump said he will "abide" by the appeals decision and post the $175 million bond.
Kamala Harris’ plan to visit the border has recalled her support for illegal alien Sergio Garcia to obtain a license to practice law, a move opposed by the Obama DOJ. Stephanie Ruhle appeared on Friday on Bill Maher's "Real Time" show and, incredibly, argued that people shouldn't demand or expect answers from Kamala Harris on the issues since she was running against former President Donald Trump. It was a ridiculous position for someone who claimed to be a journalist arguing against the questioning of a presidential candidate because she supported her.
So perhaps it's not surprising that Harris who has given very few interviews then gave Ruhle an interview. Harris no doubt thought she could walk through a softball interview with Ruhle after what Ruhle said. She knew she could count on not being pressed, given what Ruhle said.
A new CBS/YouGov poll released Wednesday has former President Donald Trump leading Democrat Kamala Harris by two points. The poll of 1,441 registered voters shows Trump with a 51 percent to 49 percent lead. This is the latest in a string of polls showing Trump leading by between one and four points in Georgia; see here and here. The CBS/YouGov poll called the 2020 race in Georgia on the money.

I think this poll undercounts Trump's strength in Georgia.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams is facing federal criminal charges, according to CBS News, the BBC's US partner. Adams, 64, was elected to lead the most populous US city nearly three years ago on a promise to rein in crime. But he and a string of top officials in his orbit have faced growing scrutiny as part of multiple federal corruption probes. The indictment remains sealed but would make Adams, 64, the first mayor in city history to be charged while in office.
Hooters - known for its scantily-clad waitresses - is the latest American restaurant chain facing financial problems.
Bosses at the chain are in urgent talks with lenders and advisers as the popular chain tries to address $300 million of debts, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
Earlier this year, Hooters shuttered around 40 'underperforming' restaurants including locations Florida, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia as it bid to cut costs. But debts are mounting and more drastic action is needed for the 41-year-old brand.
If Hooters cannot refinance its debt, it would have to consider bankruptcy and more closures.
