Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz used favorable language to describe Chinese communism when teaching a high school social studies class in 1991, according to an unearthed article in Nebraska’s Alliance Times-Herald.
Walz told students that, under communism, “everyone shares” and gets free food and housing from the government, according to the resurfaced newspaper piece first reported by the Washington Free Beacon. Just two years before the article was published, China’s communist government massacred pro-democracy student protesters in Tiananmen Square, with death counts ranging from several hundred to thousands, according to the BBC.

People protesting the Democratic National Convention (DNC) were seen marching through the streets of Chicago dressed as abortion pills.
Video footage posted on X showed protesters dressed in white outfits, appearing to look like abortion pills with the words “MIFE” and “MISO” written on them.
“MIFE” stands for mifepristone, which is “the first of two medications used in a medication abortion.”
“MISO” stands for misoprostol and is the “second medication” in a medical abortion, according to Planned Parenthood’s website.

My flak jacket is on as I write this since I am sure to offend or p*** off some friends, family, and colleagues who are ostensibly Republicans or conservatives but have a visceral aversion to Donald Trump.
Some tell me they are Republican and miss Ronald Reagan but also admit they “couldn’t” vote for Donald Trump in either 2016 or 2020. Nothing says one is Republican like voting for a liberal Democrat.
This is the NeverTrump wing of the Republican Party, emerging shortly after Trump secured the GOP nomination in 2016. Reasons for NeverTrump-ism are myriad.
Some were offended by his mean tweets, name-calling, and brash Queens personality.

Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz climbed aboard for a bus tour through Western Pennsylvania one day before the start of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois (via AP): Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz gave pep talks to campaign volunteers and a high school football team Sunday, with their bus tour in a corner of Pennsylvania serving as a modest, small-town version of the grand rally she’s expected to have at the Democratic nominating convention in Chicago this week.

Harley-Davidson on Monday said it is ditching some of its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals, a move that comes after it faced pressure from anti-diversity critics on social media.
The iconic motorcycle manufacturer follows John Deere & Co. and Tractor Supply, which both made similar decisions to scratch their diversity programs earlier this summer.
In a message posted to X, Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson said it currently has no "DEI function" and has not operated such a program since April 2024. The company added that it has no hiring quotas and no longer has "supplier diversity spend

Sunday was a banner day for the Harris campaign. After weeks of carefully curated events, the vice president turned presidential nominee went off-script multiple times, reminding Americans why they once ranked her the most unpopular major politician in the country.
After delivering a word salad on the "duality of democracy," a line she's used many times before, she then explained to a high school football team that they can be "undefeated" even if they don't win a game. It was vintage Kamala Harris, punctuated by a visit to a gas station that left people wincing. I don't know about you, but I was going to vote for no price controls,

The council’s chairman and two other sources confirmed the arrest to the Washington Post on Sunday. Per the report:
Council Chairman Phil Mendelson (D) said the arrest occurred about 2 p.m. He said he was previously unaware that White was under investigation.
White, a Democrat who was first elected in 2016, represents Ward 8 in Southeast Washington.
The circumstances of the arrest, which occurred Sunday, and the nature of the allegations against White were not immediately clear.

So here we go again.
Having once again convened and received guidance from his hand-selected advisory board (snip), WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has declared a Mpox outbreak to be a “Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC)” for the second time in two years.(snip)Please keep in mind that Tedros is not a physician, not a virologist, not a trained public health officer, not an immunologist, and most definitely not an expert in any of the above. He sort of just plays one on TV. He most definitely is a well-connected African political operator of the CCP/Marxist/Bill Gates

Secretary of State Antony Blinken met Monday with Israeli officials and pushed for a hostage and ceasefire deal as Democrats kicked off their convention in Chicago, with the goal of a deal by the end of the week.
President Joe Biden laid out the end-of-week goal on Saturday, and Blinken claimed that it was the “last opportunity” for an agreement — though it was not clear why, other than the political goal of reaching a deal during the convention.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with Blinken, and told the media afterwards that Hamas, not Israel, was blocking a hostage deal:

The organizers behind a mobile health clinic offering free abortions and vasectomies near where thousands of people are gathering for the Democratic National Convention in Chicago are pushing back amid outrage from conservatives.
Planned Parenthood Great Rivers announced it was bringing its mobile health clinic to Chicago and offering free services to those who signed up on August 19 and 20, which are the first two days of the convention.
Before the clinic even arrived, they announced that all of the appointments had been filled and that they would follow up if they had cancelations but the move sparked an avalanche of criticism online.
