Political campaigns are all about trajectory. There’s point A and point B: Where you are today, and where you need to be in November. Your campaign plan bridges the gaps between those two points. Nothing more, nothing less.
A campaign plan is a roadmap.
But it’s a roadmap of wet, muddy terrain that’s constantly changing. Sometimes, new obstacles appear out of nowhere. And when the terrain changes, so must your roadmap — or you’ll get stuck.
Since Biden dropped out, Donald Trump has been following the wrong roadmap and now he’s stuck in the wrong direction.

When discussing the media’s biases, we often talk about biases by omission or commission. But tonight we must also consider bias by zone-flooding, wherein the media avoid talking about something potentially detrimental to Democrats by backfilling newscast time with nonsense about Republicans. Consider tonight’s reporting on the presidential election, with maximum focus on the ongoing “Trump says mean things” cycle, which means less time devoted to Vice President Kamala Harris’s upcoming speech proposing price controls. Here’s NBC’s Garrett Haake: GARRETT HAAKE: And he was pressed about fellow Republicans calling for him to focus on Harris' record, instead of unleashing personal attacks.

Vice President Kamala Harris owns “Bidenomics” and will not depart from the policies that fueled about 20 percent inflation on average across the board, President Joe Biden suggested Thursday.
Biden’s comment comes just one day before Harris is to deliver a plan to fix the U.S. economy under the administration’s direction.
Only one in four voters rated the economy under the Biden-Harris administration “excellent” or “good,” a Financial Times and University of Michigan Ross School of Business poll found Monday.
Media reports suggest she plans to push price controls

The Biden-Harris administration’s inflation has destroyed wages as Americans know it, with the average U.S. worker experiencing a 3.9 percent pay cut since the Democrat duo first took office.
Using an inflation scale adjusted to 1982-1984 dollars, the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics revealed that average weekly earnings are currently $382.54, down from $397.90 on inauguration day in 2021.
So, while Americans are paying over 21 percent more for groceries, 48 percent more for car insurance, and with significant increases in rent, electricity, and garbage services, they have experienced a 3.9 percent drop in real wages since Biden-Harris took over.

When Vice President Kamala Harris unveils her economic policy proposals in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday, it will include a proposal to provide up to $25,000 in down payment support for first-time homebuyers, according to a campaign official.
The campaign is vowing that during its first term, the Harris-Walz administration would provide working families who have paid their rent on time for two years and are buying their first home up to $25,000 in down-payment assistance, with more generous support for first-generation homeowners. In a preview statement obtained by ABC News, the campaign says, "Many Americans work hard at their jobs, save, and pay their rent on time

I wrote earlier about the remarks about the economy that both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden made at an event in Maryland.
Harris disqualified herself with ignorant comments, not understanding or perhaps caring that overspending makes inflation worse. She talks about what she would do if she was elected on "day one" -- despite being in power now and not only not solving the problem but making things worse with bad policy. She also praised the "extraordinary Joe Biden."
Meanwhile, Biden couldn't even get her name right, and his brain broke at least a couple of times during his remarks. He also used threatening language against the GOP,

An Argentine federal prosecutor formally charged socialist former President Alberto Fernández on Wednesday with domestic violence against former first lady Fabiola Yañez.
Fernández stands accused by prosecutor Ramiro González of causing “doubly aggravated serious injuries” and making “coercive threats” against the former first lady. Some of the alleged violence occurred during Fernández’s presidency, from 2019 to 2023. Prosecutors also allege Fernández forced his partner to have an abortion in 2016.
Fernández had repeatedly declared himself to be the “first feminist” president of the country,

ESPN fired Samantha Ponder and Robert Griffin III on Thursday.
The Athletic first reported the shake-up and ESPN confirmed the news to Fox News Digital. Ponder was anchor on "Sunday NFL Countdown" and Griffin was an analyst who appeared on multiple shows. Ponder didn’t immediately comment on the decision. Griffin joked on X about getting fired on his day off, using a clip from the movie "Friday."
The decision to fire Ponder sparked most of the outrage on social media. Riley Gaines, the host of OutKick’s "Gaines for Girls" podcast, and former ESPN anchor Sage Steele were among those to defend Ponder.

The Israeli military has touted that their forces have killed more than 17,000 Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip since the war began, with US officials saying the Jewish state has achieved “the vast majority” of its goals against the terrorists.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said about 56% of Hamas’ estimated 30,000 forces have been wiped out since Israel waged war following the Oct. 7 massacre.
Hagari said the blow has greatly affected Hamas’ ability to regroup and recover as small battalions have continued to resurface across Gaza after months of intense fighting. The latest death count is about double

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were in Maryland on Thursday trying to pitch the idea that they were doing things to "lower prices" for the American people.
Did they think we would forget the last three-plus years and how their policies drove all the prices up? In addition to trying to hoodwink us, they think we are stupid too.
I wrote about how Kamala's remarks are so ignorant and/or bad as to be disqualifying.
But then Biden's comments made them worse as he doubled down on the ignorance. He couldn't even pronounce her name correctly, calling her "Cam-ala."

Former President Donald Trump is dominating Vice President Kamala Harris among white working class voters, as they find themselves neck and neck in the presidential race, according to a national Pew Research/SSRS poll.
The poll, conducted August 5-11 with a massive sample size of more than 7,500 registered voters, finds that 45 percent of respondents support or lean toward Trump, while 46 percent back Harris or lean her way. Independent Robert F Kennedy Jr. follows in third place with seven percent. The one-percent gap between Trump and Haarris falls within the ±1.4 percent margin of error.

John Nagel is a retired lieutenant in the Minnesota State Police, and he has some harsh things to say about Governor and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. Specifically, Lieutenant Nagel claims that Walz "truly doesn't like the police."
A retired police lieutenant in Minnesota is pushing back against the narrative that Gov. Tim Walz is a "moderate" and tells Fox News Digital that the governor "intentionally" let Minneapolis burn during the 2020 riots because he "truly doesn’t like police."
"He is not a moderate, he has never been a moderate and here in Minnesota he has been anti-police, he has raised taxes, he is nowhere near being a moderate,"
