Iran is ramping up online activity that appears intended to influence the upcoming US election, in one case targeting a presidential campaign with an email phishing attack, Microsoft said Friday. Iranian actors also have spent recent months creating fake news sites and impersonating activists, laying the groundwork to stoke division and potentially sway American voters this fall, especially in swing states, the technology giant found. The findings in Microsoft’s newest threat intelligence report show how Iran, which has been active in recent US campaign cycles, is evolving its tactics for another election that’s likely to have global implications.

The Iranians are just as afraid of a second Trump administration as the democrats are. In this respect they have a common interest and I wouldn't be surprised if the democrat party had a hand in facilitating an Iranian assassination attempt against Trump. The democrat party is all about "any means to an end".

Wouldn't it be easier and more effective for Iran just to give a slush fund to the Dim Party? The Dims would eagerly accept it.

Yahoo news comes up whenever I exit my email. I see about four anti-Trump articles daily. How many of them are originating in Iran? We don't see these stories out on Lucianne, but anyone getting their news from a leftist site gets bombarded daily and gets a very different picture from what we see here on Lucianne. It's no surprise that the left sees things so differently. They get different news.

Only a small number of Americans understand the relationship between the U.S. State Dept (DoS) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). However, as more people understand how these two agencies operate, then people have a much more accurate context for how both agencies are viewed by the rest of the world. Almost every deployed CIA operative has a cover profile within the State Dept. The foreign service missions of the DoS and CIA are so enmeshed there is literally no way to separate the functions of their agencies. [Go back to the Benghazi Attack for an operational reference] CIA/DoS have to be viewed through the prism of connection.

Veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of “embellishing” his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit’s 2005 deployment to Iraq. In a letter posted to Facebook in 2018 as he first ran for governor, retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr said Walz retired from his 24-year tenure in the National Guard after learning that his battalion would be deployed to Iraq, despite allegedly assuring his fellow troops he would join them.

There’s a reason nobody expected far-left Kamala Harris to pick a far-left governor from a deep blue state as her running mate. It’s never worked. In the wake of Jimmy Carter’s crushing defeat in 1980 and repeated Democratic losses thereafter, the party decided that to win presidential elections they had to at least appear as moderates. Bill Clinton won by labeling himself a “new Democrat” and picked Al Gore, then a fellow moderate Southerner. Gore in turn tapped Joe Lieberman as his running mate. Barack Obama tried to position himself to the right of John McCain and ran with Scranton Joe Biden,

President Biden held a frantic closed-door powwow with his top national-security advisers Monday as the Mideast war threatened to explode — and the US warned afterward it is set “to defend our forces.’’ During the meeting, Biden, 81, and Vice President Kamala Harris were informed that the timing of an expected attack on Israel by Iran and Hezbollah remains unclear, as is what the strike could look like, US officials told Axios. The guidance provided to Biden and Harris, 59, is seemingly at odds with what Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his counterparts from the G7 countries on Sunday,

The news was broken by Reuters, which was told about the situation by multiple security sources. At least two Katyusha rockets were fired towards the base. The sources did not confirm if the attack caused any deaths or injuries, though one security source said that the rockets fell inside the base. The incident comes as tensions in the Middle East escalate amid the Israel-Hamas war. Last week, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran, causing the Iranian government to vow retribution against Israel.

Walz has suggested on multiple occasions that he carried weapons into war — including in a video shared by the Harris campaign — despite having never served in a combat. “We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war,” Walz said in a 2018 video advocating gun control. That clip was shared Tuesday by the Harris campaign.

Court records obtained by the outlet accused the 66-year-old of placing orders for more than 11,000 cases of chicken wings from the school district’s food provider, picking them up in a district van, and not delivering them to children who were remote-learning at the time.

In a discussion about Vice President Kamala Harris’ stunning surge in the polls last week, podcaster Joe Rogan stated the obvious: “She’s the least popular vice president of all time, and then in a moment in time, all of a sudden she’s our solution.” Rogan is right. The vice president who has been a national joke for four years, tapped by President Joe Biden because he’d promised his base he would choose a woman of color, has suddenly become a serious contender in the presidential race. And now she’s picked a radical Minnesota governor with a disastrous record to round out her ticket.

During her rally in Las Vegas tonight, she plugged the idea of no taxes on tips for people who work in the service industry. Her supporters cheered for the idea, many of them probably not even realizing that they were cheering for an idea that came from Trump. This is especially ironic because Kamala Harris’s campaign has been extremely short on policy proposals. Now she finally puts one forth and it’s a Trump proposal. Watch: (X Video)

The $3.8 trillion that Democrats in Congress authorized for pandemic relief ($2 trillion was passed during the Trump administration) contained $800 billion for state and local governments. Admittedly, the states had some flexibility in how they spent their cut. Some states used the money to shore up their employee pension programs. While not specifically authorized in the enabling legislation, given the broad authority granted to states to spend the money, no one is likely to challenge it. How about a governor spending $4.3 million to cover parking costs for state employees "and visitors"? Or $1 million on a feasibility study for paid family leave?
