President Joe Biden paid his respects to fallen service members on Memorial Day by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The commander-in-chief, 81, honored veterans, his late son Beau and honored the Americans who landed at Normandy on D-Day ahead of the 80th anniversary of the operation next week.
Biden was joined by Vice President Kamala Harris and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at Arlington National Cemetery for the annual ceremony before delivering remarks to an audience of current and former service members.

Joe Biden must be getting hard up for cash. He is turning to his old pals Bill and Hillary Clinton to help him raise funds with an event in Virginia.
If there’s one thing the Clintons are good at, it’s fleecing the public for money.
This is just a reminder that Biden can’t do this on his own. Last month, he did a fundraiser with Bill Clinton and Obama which was hosted by left wing hack Stephen Colbert. Biden needs all this help.

Next week brings us the criminal trial against First Son Hunter Biden for his gun charges. Mia's been covering how the "laptop from hell" has come back to haunt him in a way in such a case. Now, the behavior of President Joe Biden and his administration has led to some further concerns about corruption. (X) Last Thursday, Biden held a state dinner welcoming Kenya President William Ruto. Not only was Hunter in attendance, but so was Attorney General Merrick Garland, whose Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating the first son.

Some people should have a read-only internet. Rep. Ilhan Omar is one of them.
On Memorial Day, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted some wonderful wishful thinking for all those honored on this day. (The tweet has since been taken down, but here is the link; below is a screenshot.) It read: On #MemorialDay, we honor the heroic men and women who served our country.
We owe them more than our gratitude – they have more than earned access to quality mental health services, job opportunities, housing assistance, and the benefits they were promised.

A jury acquitting former President Trump in his criminal trial this week in New York would be the "worst-case scenario" for Democrats, a CNN reporter warned on Sunday.
"I think that it's very likely this is the only trial that we are going to get before Election Day. And this case is not a slam dunk, which means that Donald Trump may very well not be convicted. Acquitted is the worst-case scenario for Democrats," CNN political correspondent Sara Murray said.
The jury will hear closing arguments on Tuesday in the criminal trial where Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records

At no other time in President Trump’s political career have his poll numbers been as good as they are now. Not at this stage of the campaign in 2020, not even in 2016. Currently, President Trump commands a significant lead – somewhere between 2 and 6 points, per the RCP average – over Joe Biden in the national polls. Good as those numbers are, they belie even better results when broken down by swing state: according to the latest RCP figures, the 45th President beats Biden by 4 and 12 points in the seven most competitive battleground states this cycle:

President Joe Biden is planning to make a public statement when a verdict is reached in the business records trial of former President Donald Trump, which could be as early as this week, according to a report.
The president plans to make the statement in a “White House setting” and not a campaign one to show that his statement “isn’t political,” four sources anonymously told Politico.Biden’s team is reportedly preparing options for a conviction or an acquittal/hung jury. If Trump is convicted, Biden will reportedly argue it shows Trump is ill-suited for office “with discussions underway about referring to the ex-president online as ‘Convicted Felon Donald Trump,'”

Greetings, everyone, and a very blessed Honor Memorial Day. I just wanted to share some thoughts on this sacred day. This past weekend, I attended the Republican Party of Texas convention in San Antonio. Saturday morning, I rose at 0515 for a special run. I started off up Commerce to the Riverwalk and went down to run along the scenic San Antonio River as it runs through downtown. I made it to the locks and dam and then went up top to run to the Texas Thermopylae, The Alamo. There is something special about seeing The Alamo in the early morning light when there isn't much traffic out and about.

Dozens of radical Marxists and Pro-Gaza goons shut down the Princeton Memorial Day Parade on Sunday chanting, “Free, free Palestine!”
This is how the youths honored the fallen servicemembers and veterans.
You can thank their Marxist professors.
What a disgusting, disrespectful bunch. (X) The protesters blocked the street when they saw the American flags coming. (Photo) (X Video) The young Marxists belong to the Princeton 4 Palestine group.(X Video) This was last year’s Princeton Memorial Day Parade. (X Video)

Please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated at all times, it looks like we’re in for a bumpy flight. No less an authority than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says so, claiming Sunday that climate change is one of the driving forces behind a rise in severe flight turbulence.
Buttigieg set out his prediction by first declaring “The reality is, the effects of climate change are already upon us in terms of our transportation.” He was speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation, forecasting severe turbulence is something that will continue to“affect American travelers, whether here or abroad.” Buttigieg continued:

Hunter Biden used Joe Biden's appearance at a Sandy Hook memorial service to arrange a meeting between his dad and his Chinese business partners, new texts reveal.
The messages come from a fresh tranche of documents released by Congress on Wednesday, given to them by IRS agents who investigated the First Son.
On December 12, 2017 Hunter wrote on the Chinese messaging app WeChat to Liu Yadong, a top executive at Chinese oil giant CEFC, to arrange a meeting with his father.'Can you meet this evening early,' Hunter wrote. 'My father will be in New York also and he wants me to attend the Sandyhook memorial service with him

Wars and rumours of wars are having an impact on military preparedness right across Eastern Europe. NATO member Poland on Monday became the latest state to announce a boost, presenting a plan to strengthen its anti-drone surveillance and on-ground military capabilities in the face of continued Russian threats.
The effort follows Finland, Norway, and Baltic states drawing up similar proposals to deter Moscow’s aggression.AP reports a system of fortifications and barriers along about 430 miles of Poland’s eastern border with Russia and Russian ally Belarus are part of the planning. The government says Poland, which supports neighboring Ukraine in its defense against Russia’s aggression, is being targeted
