Rainer Zitelmann's book, How Nations Escape Poverty, is particularly interesting for American veterans who served as G.I.s in Vietnam or for those who may have lost their fathers or family members in the conflict. The irony of history is that the communists initially won — however, upon establishing their socialist regime across Vietnam, they came to realize what a huge mistake they had made. Today, young Vietnamese in particular admire the USA and capitalism. (Snip) Zitelmann describes how Vietnam, the poorest country in the world in 1990, overcame poverty and became a prosperous country by abolishing the planned economy and introducing private property rights.
In Trump trial, Manhattan DA Bragg's hocus-pocus

Hocus-pocus is a meaningless distraction or illusion that is intended to fool. That neatly summarizes District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump. The DA hopes to snooker a Manhattan jury into convicting the former president with a bag of legal tricks. In most courtrooms, the chicanery would never work. But in this Trump-hating venue the defendant’s jury of purported peers are likely predisposed to accept magic for magic’s sake. They may want to believe there’s no white rabbit behind Bragg’s back, despite the pink ears peaking around his coat. The first sleight of hand happened the moment the lead prosecutor addressed jurors during opening statements on Monday.

Happy Passover, the holiday when American Jews attempt to pass over an Ivy League campus and British Jews attempt to pass over a Central London thoroughfare. New York is the world's most Jewish city, and Brooklyn is famously the most Jewish place on earth, with more Jews than either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. As in Germany, Jews are the businessmen, brain surgeons, physicists, film producers. I take it as read that the day is fast-approaching when London, Paris, Toronto, Copenhagen will be Jew-free. An antisemitic protest at New York University got out of control on Monday, forcing the university to request the help of the New York Police Department. According to a report from Fox News, the NYPD "arrested numerous people following a request from NYU for police to clear Gould Plaza of people refusing orders to leave the area, including many suspected of having no affiliation with the university." Around 8:30 p.m., mass arrests began, leading to the dwindling of the demonstration within an hour. NYU, among various campuses nationwide, saw protests against Israel's actions in Gaza. Approximately 50 anti-Israel protesters gathered at the plaza without prior authorization, prompting the university

A New York judge ruled on Monday that the $175 million bond judgment against former President Donald Trump will remain intact despite New York Attorney General Letitia James's efforts to challenge it. James's legal team argued that the court should nullify Trump's reduced judgment of $175 million in his non-jury civil fraud trial. Her team raised concerns about the ability of Knight Specialty Insurance, the company behind the substantial bond, to actually pay the bond if necessary. That's a rather curious position since she had asked for a much larger $370 million in damages — it's as if the entire point was to achieve a judgment that would be impossible

The American identity and national way of life stand on the brink of total disintegration, dependency, and slavery. The machines of men and demons incrementally ratchet the gears tighter with each passing day, while the people of this nation have steadfastly ignored the warnings and alarms issued by the timeless Scriptures and wisdom of old. There is a great and terrible time of judgment quickly approaching that will overthrow what is left of the American way of life. This nation is sound asleep. The shrewd and subtle ways of evil operate like a dimmer switch turned down on hundred-year increments so that no one notices until things are truly dark.

It's hard to believe that some conservatives are planning to vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but here we are. Perhaps they still don't know that Kennedy is a radical leftist or that he picked a radical leftist as his running mate. I have no idea. They can't possibly be 100% aware of his policy positions because no genuine conservative could actually support RFK Jr. if they knew the entirety of his policy positions. Whether these delusional conservatives can be convinced or not, I can't say, but I feel compelled to do everything I can to educate them about who they are planning to support.
