No state in modern times has transitioned from a worker freedom state to one that forces workers to join a union and pay dues to labor bosses. All the momentum across the country in the last two decades has been in the opposite direction: allowing workers the right to choose a union — or not.
That’s why what happened last week in Lansing, Michigan, is such a tragic setback for workers’ rights and for the economic competitiveness of the state(snip)
Thanks to a corrupt deal between the labor bosses, the Democratic state legislature and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan will no longer be a right-to-work state.

You just can't fix stupid.
Especially when it is the voters who are stupid.

Michigan voters are like battered wives living with an abusive husband. They elect Democrats who screw up everything, cost them untold amounts of money, and regulate them about half to death. When it gets really bad, they throw the Democrats out. Republicans take office and start fixing things, and their lives improve. Then after about six years, the Democrats - the abusive husbands - are back, whining "please, take me back! I've changed! I've learned my lesson! I'll never raise your taxes again! I won't pass any more stupid laws! Please!" And the voters fall for it, and let them back in the house. As soon as they do, the Democrats resume their usual stunts.
One of these days, maybe they'll wise up. Maybe.

So..... tell me.
What is a Labor Union, other than an organized MONOPOLY on labor?
It seems to me that if a business tried to use similar MONOPOLY tactics, the people in charge of it would be hauled before a court and brought up on charges.

Please do lump all Michiganders into one lump. 53% of state lives in southeast corner- Wayne, Macomb counties..Rashida counties- Detroit area- stretching to Ann Arbor..
I don’t think a majority of people keep up with Lansing- too busy trying to feed their families

Michigan broke its own rules in the last couple elections. And there is video tape of ballots being shipped in by truck in the middle of the night in the 2020 election during a pause in vote counting for a 'lunch break'.
Sure, #1, I blame Michigan voters. Especially those dead ones (special notice to the guy born in 1850) and the ones living with 35 other people whose registered address is a laundromat.

If you look at a voting map of Michigan, most of it will be red with a few blue blobs. Is those few blue blobs that elected Whitmer and the Democrat legislature. They are quickly reversing many successful conservatives policies enacted by the previous Republican governor. Any challenges in court are quickly put down by the equally crooked Attorney General.

Whitmer is stupid and evil. A labor union appeals to many voters because the incompetent bottom feeders receive the same wages and benefits as productive workers and can not be fired unless they shoot somebody on the job. Apparently the majority of Michigan workers are bottom feeders. How is that Chinese battery factory coming along? What are you going to put them in now that the EV craze has fallen on its face, extra-large flashlights?

#1 and #2 - perhaps a little research is in order. Find a red/blue map of Michigan. If this is too difficult, my 4 year old granddaughter would be glad to help. The vast majority of the State is red. Detroit and Ann Arbor are blue.

#8, That is what is so disturbing. Many states operate that way. The big cities dominate all the other cities and towns. The majority here in my state is red but those cities where democrats rule which is usually the state Capitol, are blue. Democrats know all it takes to win is a couple big cities run by democrats and the state will elect democrats. It’s their willingness to cheat that makes the difference. They can cull votes from nursing homes, cemeteries, voter rolls, and any number of business that house untold numbers of voters. It is absurd. Until we have one day voting making it a federal holiday using paper ballots, we are going to continue to have our votes stolen by a party who believes a stolen election is a fair election. When your motto is the end justifies the means, it gives you all the room you need to do whatever it takes to win. I cannot belief how corrupt the democrat party is. I have never seen anything like it. Of course the unions and democrat party are going to support each other. They both make money off each other and that’s what it is all about.

Same here in Virginia. Most of the state is conservative, but we have a few college towns (UVA in Charlottesville, for example) plus Northern Virginia and all its 99.9% Democrat federal workers and then we have the people of color voting blocks in Richmond, Hampton Roads (not enough military to out vote the black vote), etc.

Looks like the rats in Michigan got very nervous about President Trump's poll numbers with the auto union....and they think this ruling will secure biden being elected...although WE all know he's only the donkey out in front for now...he's gonna be replaced at the convention...with whom...God knows because the people have had enough of democrats ruining their lives....even in Michigan and Illinois....not to mention New York.....

Governor Witch-mer has done it again, both her and Governor Gavin Grusome ruining their States. Maybe a brave Catholic priest should do an exorcism on both of them.

Well, you can sit there and take it. Or you can get the hell out and go somewhere where you're appreciated. It's your choice.
