Hungary on Monday voted to approve Sweden's NATO accession bid, ending months of diplomatic negotiations and finalizing Stockholm's membership almost two years after it first applied to join the military alliance. Hungarian lawmakers voted in favor of Sweden's membership after overcoming long-standing opposition from governing party members led by Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The Scandinavian country will become the 32nd NATO member, coming under the fold of Article 5 of the treaty, which vows that an attack on one member is an attack on all of them.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, who ran for office vowing to take down former President Donald Trump, has been gloating on X about the $354.8 million fine imposed on him since she won against him in a county court two weeks ago. Trump is planning to appeal the judgment in the civil fraud case, which accused him of inflating his net worth to get favorable bank loans, which he paid back. However, Trump must first pay the $354.8 million fine ordered by Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron before he can appeal. He is also being charged interest that is expected to reach $100 million. James has been posting

The parade of people who are openly discussing the physical and mental decline of the nation's oldest-ever president continues to grow. And those voices are not all coming from the Fox News Channel or other conservative outlets. This week their ranks were joined by two former aides to President Barack Obama who worked directly with Joe Biden when he was the veep. Appearing on the "Pod Save America" podcast, Jon Favreau, Obama's chief speechwriter, expressed concern and exasperation over Biden's recent appearances. Favreau called Biden's age "a very real issue." He referred to him as "frail" and "mumbly" while also referencing the way Biden "shuffles" around and is unsteady

Donald Trump handily defeated Nikki Haley in Michigan’s GOP primary on Tuesday, marking the former South Carolina governor’s sixth consecutive loss to the former president. By the time the Associated Press called the race at 9 p.m. eastern time, Trump had received 65 percent of the vote and Haley had garnered 30 percent. Only 2 percent of Michigan primary voters had cast “uncommitted” ballots. Just 16 of the state’s 55 Republican delegates will be awarded based on the result of the primary, while the rest will be allocated based on caucuses that will be held at a nominating convention on Saturday. The state’s hybrid nominating contest is the

President Biden was projected to win the Michigan Democratic primary, according to Decision Desk HQ, scoring a critical win in the battleground state. Biden won Michigan back in 2020, but has seen recent pushback from progressives and Arab Americans in the state over his administration’s actions amid the Israel-Hamas war. An option on the ballot for voters to pick “uncommitted” had so far garnered more than 20,000 votes, far exceeding the relatively modest goal of 10,000 votes that the organizers of the campaign had set for themselves. The organizers of the “Listen to Michigan” campaign, backed by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), urged voters to select the “uncommitted” option

WHITEWATER, Wis.—The migrants began to trickle into Whitewater, a sleepy town of 15,000 an hour west of Milwaukee, toward the end of 2021. Prior to their arrival, local news and political debates generally revolved around school fundraisers or the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's D3 athletics. Today, residents are focused on their 1,000 new neighbors, who mostly hail from Nicaragua and Venezuela and largely keep to the shadows because they lack official identification. Locals say the real number of migrants in the town could easily be double the number reflected in the police department's official statistics. As the migrant crises in big cities like Chicago and New York

If millions of immigration-enforcement encounters are a statistic, the murder, by blunt force trauma to the head, of one American young woman is a tragedy. Negligent enforcement policies set by the Biden administration, indulgent “sanctuary” given to lawbreakers by our cities, and abusive appropriation of taxpayer resources to aid aliens in their lawbreaking all likely contributed to the killing of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old Georgia nursing student. Her death is the result of United States policy enabling a criminally minded man who came here to press a bogus asylum claim.

Well, the Democrats are facing it, and now they’re trying to figure out how to stop him from taking office if and when he wins the election. This is a really bad idea. If you had told the average person that an anarchist or an airman had set himself on fire to protest Israel’s campaign against Islamic terrorists, you would get two very different reactions. Unsurprisingly the media led with the data point most likely to produce a favorable reaction. The Washington Post gets around to admitting that Bushnell was an “anarchist”. [SNIP] But the Washington Post then misleadingly suggests he was raised in a Christian cult.
