CPAC 2024: Will Byron Donalds Be Trump's
VP Pick?

Original Article

Many of the people on former President and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump's VP shortlist were present at CPAC 2024 and gave speeches. Among them, former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Rep. Byron Donalds, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. New York Rep. Elise Stefanik has also been another name floated, and she also gave a speech at the conference. Save for two other names purportedly on the list - Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott - it's almost like CPAC was an audition of sorts.Or at least the CPAC attendees thought so. Their picks for Trump VP in the Straw Poll

I forget if it's the 11th or 12th amendment, but it basically requires the President and Vice President candidates must be from different states, as the Electoral College electors from each state cannot vote for both a Pres and VP from their own state.

Trump's VP choice should be all about who we give the nod to run for POTUS in 2028. Cut out the emotional, knee-jerk, do-gooder, feel-good, B.S., and go with the one who walks tall and proudly carries the "conservative torch."

Although, Donalds does come across as a rather impressive individual. Wonder if the former Senator from Delaware would refer to HIM as a "mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy"?

My choice for vice president is someone I believe would govern more like Trump if something should happen to him, or to take over after his four years are up. No, on Tim Scott. He is too soft and acts like a puppy dog around Trump. No to the women mentioned. Kari Lake would be tough and could do the job, but many think she's too strident. Ramaswamy is too young, and I still don't know enough about him. He needs another important job before he becomes a vice president. I still think DeSantis could do the job based on all he's done for Florida, but there's the two people from the same state problem. Funny, J.D. Vance wasn't mentioned. He's young too, but is smart and capable enough to handle the important job of vice president. He would be my second choice.

# 11, you ask some interesting questions. Until the enemies of this great country do something to force a change in our normal election cycle, it is assumed we will have an election as normal in November. There is an article on Lucianne this morning about a real insurrection being planned to prevent President Trump from becoming president a third time (second was stolen). I remain curious about if and how that would materialize. As far as President Trump being alive to participate, have you seen his motorcades every where he goes? That is not a Past Presidential motorcade. POTUS is very well insulated. President Trump also appears to be in good health both physically and mentally. Sit back and enjoy the show. The deep state is being exposed for the evil swamp creatures they are.

It has to be someone who will have his back and not be getting ready for the POS RINOs to crown him/her in 2028. I love Pres Trump but he had poor judgement and surrounded himself with the snakes he is reading about. His whole administration was crawling with them.. He had very few loyal people , including the one I thought was ok Mike Pompeo. He was scheming and hiding things from Trump along with his former agency, CIA...I want pit bulls in every slot he has open. No more Mr nice guy ..I am not sure who it should be.. He has time and he needs to take suggestions from someone he absolutly can trust, aka.. Melania..

If Trump picks Byron Donalds then one of them will have to move to another state or they will lose Florida's electors under the 12th Amendment: "The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves."

President Trump has warned that “monster” nuclear weapons are the biggest threat to humanity and could easily “end the world” tomorrow. The commander in chief gave the grim warning as he lamented the dangers of stockpiling the nukes amid his push to kickstart arms control talks with Russia and China again. “The greatest [threat] is sitting on shelves in various countries called ‘nuclear weapons’ that are big monsters that can blow your heads off for miles and miles and miles,” Trump told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

The fighter jets fired flares to warn the pilots to move out of the area, the military said. The aircraft was then escorted out of the area.

I mean, I’m listening to them, and you’re probably listening to them, because we’re deep inside the whole political world, but I have to wonder – are normal people paying any attention at all to these circus freaks and their incessant, hyperbolic whining, mewling, and complaining? They will not allow Trump to take us into authoritarianism,” Sanders yelled.

Tusk said the current situation in Europe, which is scrambling to react to President Trump’s decision to halt military aid and intelligence to Ukraine, would not have happened if the union took harsher actions against Russia. “Our deficit has been the lack of the will to act, having no confidence, and sometimes even cowardice,” Tusk told his parliament on Friday, adding that Moscow would have been rendered “helpless against a united Europe.”

A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém. It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people - including world leaders - at the conference in November. The state government touts the highway's "sustainable" credentials, but some locals and conservationists are outraged at the environmental impact. The Amazon plays a vital role in absorbing carbon for the world and providing biodiversity, and many say this deforestation contradicts the very purpose of a climate summit.

Goldberg argued that Trump inherited a “very robust” economy, crediting the Biden administration for adding nearly 16 million jobs to the U.S. economy, though she failed to mention this was largely a result of the U.S. recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The co-host also did not mention that inflation rose to a peak of 9% during the Biden administration and that the deficit reached record-breaking levels largely due to the previous White House’s high spending.
