San Francisco has appointed a non-citizen to its elections commission for the first time, even though she cannot vote.
Bay Area public radio station reported Thursday:
The newest member of the San Francisco Elections Commission, a seven-member civilian body that oversees and creates policy for the city’s Department of Elections, isn’t legally allowed to vote.
Kelly Wong, an immigrant rights advocate, is believed to be the first noncitizen appointed to the commission. At a swearing-in ceremony administered by Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin on Wednesday at San Francisco City Hall, dozens of people gathered to commemorate the occasion.

We all agree, it was the Wong thing to do.
And the question is: Why?

Kelly Wong is the wrong person to be allowed to join the election commission. What part of non-citizen is misunderstood? San Francisco is still in the toilet.

When San Fransicko finally implodes, the elections commission will now have somebody to blame for the bottom of the barrel people who were elected to run it.

Kelly will be in charge of collecting undeliverable mail-in ballots and redistributing them to precincts that may be short.

St. Francis must be spinning in his grave. First, a corrupt Communist pope assumes his name and now the once-beautiful city named after him continues its rush to the depths of the sewer.

San Francisco's community and political leaders have turned a once-beautiful city into a hole. And they just keep digging.

if there ever was an example of a city in decline, it's witnessing the fall of San Francisco but the example fits for a lot more cities in California than anyone would expect ... if he truth were allowed to be presented

California is not a state. It is mental institution. It is "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest" on steroids.

Because, in a nation of 330 million people, SF couldn't find one legal citizen to appoint to that job.

What part of "Citizens have the right to vote" don't they understand? Isn't that city in bad enough shape without doing that? Wouldn't it be fun though if all these non-citizens voted Republican?

Here is a good adjective for San Francisco: "Nuciferious." Look it up and enjoy a chuckle. Now look up "sesquipedarian." That's you the next time you use "nuciferous."

Does a state bill of attainder violate the Equal Protection Clause? How about selective prosecution? The Supreme Court may have to decide.

We know where she is. Deport her. If Trump wins, he should make her deportation priority one. That would send a message. "Sanctuary City" means that the authorities will not help you, but ICE can still do its duty.
