Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) has insisted Joe Biden's apparent failure to remember when his son Beau died is completely "understandable" for a man of his age and position. Appearing for an interview on ABC News on Thursday, Goldman reacted to a statement by Special Counsel Robert Hur in his report that President Joe Biden “did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died."
“Obviously, the President knows when his son died. … If he had a momentary blip where he couldn’t remember it as his mind is racing from the war in the Middle East to the questions that he’s been asking,

GOP Senators blocked a hidden migration bailout for the Democrats’ sanctuary cities and states when they voted against the border bill pushed by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
The GOP revolt leaves Democrat mayors and city politicians scrambling for funds they need to support and hide President Joe Biden’s growing population of poor migrants during the 2024 election year.“It’s a huge problem for the Democrats because the Biden administration was counting on being able to shovel all this money onto the state and local allies,” said Jessica Vaughan, the policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies, adding:

Panicked Democrats are wringing their hands in the wake of the damning special counsel’s report that accused President Biden of being too senile to be blamed for mishandling classified documents — with insiders even pushing for better makeup to hide the commander-in-chief’s advanced age as his re-election campaign grinds on despite his cognitive decline. “The cake is already baked,” a despondent former Biden White House aide told The Post. “Most Democrats feel that way about the president already. They think he’s effective and a good person, but nobody really wants him to run. ..and Democrats don’t have the guts to

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who once was a formidable force in Washington, D.C., and hoped one day to be president of the United States, is now so desperate to grab a sliver of the spotlight she’s taking on Big Snack Food and Big Toilet Paper. She managed only to reveal how irrelevant and economically ignorant she really is.
In a campaign email, a tweet, and a video, Warren complains that consumers are getting ripped off.
“Have you ever finished a bag of Doritos and thought, ‘Whoa — there should have been a lot more chips in here’? You were right,” she exclaims.

The city of Denver is set to slash $5 million from its Parks and Rec and DMV budgets as it faces a staggering $180 million bill to shelter migrants in 2024.
Denver mayor Mike Johnston announced the cuts this week - and warned far worse is to come.
'While they are the first steps, they unfortunately will not be the last,' Johnson said, adding that the cuts also likely 'will not be the hardest.'Denver officials warn that the 38,464 migrants they have served since late 2022 are increasing every single day. For the past year, the Obama administration has been running an experiment: Is it possible to make policy more effective by using psychology on citizens? The nickname is “nudging” -- the idea that policymakers can change people’s behavior just by presenting choices or information differently. […]
Nudging has gained a lot of high-profile advocates, including behavioral-law guru Cass Sunstein and former budget czar Peter Orszag.

Oh, what a shock. The DNC filed a complaint over RFK Jr.’s super PAC’s efforts to put him on state ballots.
According to The New York Times, In a federal election complaint filed on Friday, the Democratic National Committee accused Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a super PAC backing his independent presidential bid of illegally coordinating on a $15 million petition drive intended to qualify him for the ballot in several states that could be crucial to President Biden’s re-election prospects.

Americans are weighing a future led by President Kamala Harris, after President Joe Biden made series of public speaking errors, triggering growing chatter about invoking the 25th Amendment.
The president alarmed Democrats and Republicans alike after a messy press conference on Thursday, in which he insisted that 'my memory is fine' even while mistakenly referring to the President of Egypt as the president of Mexico.
'I think Vice President Harris became squarely an issue in this election today. She already was getting there, and now it's even more important,' CNN commentator Scott Pressler said on the air Thursday evening.

I wrote more in a story earlier about a report on Jill Biden's handler role of her husband, the freakout that she had at him and his aides, when no one stopped him during a disastrous press conference, and how she was the one who pushed him to run because of her hatred for former President Donald Trump. Now, she is showing that handler role again, with a statement on the report issued by Special Counsel Robert Hur in the classified document investigation. The statement was issued in her name, as part of a fundraising email sent out by the Biden campaign.

UCHealth needs more money and support to keep responding to the surge in migrants arriving in metro Denver, the health system’s leaders are warning after University of Colorado Hospital provided $10 million in uncompensated care in just three months. Health care workers want to help, but hospitals can’t keep providing this level of uncompensated care, let alone meet migrant patients’ full needs, said Dr. Richard Zane, an emergency medicine physician and UCHealth’s chief innovation officer. UCHealth needs to receive reimbursement and to have somewhere to refer patients for housing and other supports, he said. “It is not sustainable,” Zane said.

Joe Biden is incapable of assuring voters he can handle another presidential term, his team has 'no plan' on how to deal with his senile behavior, and he should simply 'not be running for re-election,' according to New York Times authors.
Anxieties from the liberal Times' Editorial Board and opinion writers show how worried they are that ailing Biden may not be able to beat 'bad man' Donald Trump this year.
The back-to-back opinion pieces knifing the elderly president, 81, over the weekend comes after a Justice Department report ripped into his handling of classified documents and portrayed him as a forgetful old man.

For the last couple of days, the news world has been abuzz with the Hur Report, its condemnation of President Biden's mental state, and its implications for the 2024 Presidential race. Day by day, more and more Democrats are showing some willingness to yank the rug out from under old Joe and sub in someone else. There is a lot of noise about someone either belling the cat and convincing Joe (or, more likely, Jill) to step down for "reasons of health" or "family matters" or to outright 25th Amendment the old man into the next time zone, which would put Kamala Harris at the Resolute Desk and,
