The border crisis in Texas is turning into a faceoff between the state and federal governments. (snip) "Representative Mike Collins (R-Ga.) announced that he will introduce the Restricting Administration Zealots from Obliging Raiders (RAZOR) Act," reads a press release from Colins' office. "The legislation would ban the federal government, including the U.S. Border Patrol, from removing or otherwise altering any state-constructed barriers installed to mitigate illegal immigration."

The Bible supports the idea of individuals changing their sex and taking drugs and surgeries to do so, a professor at a Catholic university in Ohio wrote recently.
Professor Esther Brownsmith teaches classes on Scripture at the University of Dayton in Ohio. (snip)
Brownsmith (pictured) claims that Joseph’s “amazing technicolor dreamcoat” was really clothes a princess would wear.
“This is just one of the ways that the Bible indicates that the ‘shapely and beautiful’ Joseph (Genesis 39:6) crossed gender boundaries, and he was not the only one:

NBCUniversal’s Peacock lost a mind-boggling $2.7 billion in 2023 as the left-wing legacy studio continues to burn through cash at an alarming rate in the Hollywood streaming arms race.
Peacock’s subscriber base currently stands at around 30 million — still far behind Netflix, which counts around 80 million domestic subscribers.
The 2023 losses are worse than the previous year when Peacock lost $2.5 billion.

Donald Trump on Thursday joined a push to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting Fulton County’s election interference case, saying her defiant remarks at a historic Black church showed “racial animus” toward the former president and his co-defendants.
In a court filing, Trump’s two top Atlanta attorneys accused Willis, who is Black, of a “glaring, flagrant, and calculated effort to foment racial bias into this case.” That could unfairly prejudice a jury, they said, and violated Georgia’s rules of professional conduct.

Democrats are clamoring for a major standoff at the southern border between Texas and the federal government, but in doing so, they are putting President Joe Biden in a politically disastrous position. (snip) By all indications, Abbott is prepared to enter into a standoff of sorts with Biden at the southern border, and the fact that Republican governors from Utah, Idaho, Virginia, and Georgia are all coming to his support is strengthening his hand as he takes on the president’s lawlessness.
If Democrats want to open the border forcibly, Abbott should dare them to do it. Morality, common sense, and the people are all on his side.

A new book claims that Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina embraced Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is prosecuting former President Donald Trump, after he provided testimony in the case, Politico reported on Wednesday. (snip) Graham, who was briefly involved in Trump’s efforts before acknowledging Joe Biden’s victory in the election, testified before the grand jury in the case on Nov. 22, 2022, where he allegedly “turned on a dime and threw Trump under the bus” and attempted to hug Willis after his testimony, according to Politico. (snip) “‘She was like “whatever, dude,”’ according to one witness of the strange encounter,” recounted Politico.

Democrats are desperately fighting to keep the Fulton County prosecutor’s office in charge of the Georgia criminal case pending against Donald Trump and his associates. And that tells you all you need to know about the merits of the get-Trump prosecution launched by the now-falling Democrat star Fani Willis. (snip) disqualifying Willis and her office would send the case to the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, where an independent prosecutor would be appointed to take the case over from Willis. (snip) One need only fear that outcome, however, if a criminal conviction, as opposed to justice, were the end goal.

Yesterday an audio recording of Arizona GOP Chairman Jeff Dewit was released that shows him attempting to bribe and coerce Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake into backing away from the contest. Today, Jeff Dewit has resigned. [Letter Source]
I am not providing opinion or commentary on the claims within the letter, in part because I am just like you… an observer to a very serious story that is still unfolding.

A Pennsylvania school board on Thursday voted to restore the Native American warrior head logo that had been part of the district’s tradition until it was wiped away in 2021.
The Southern York County School District board voted 7-2 to bring back the warrior symbol after intense debate on the issue, according to WGAL-TV in Lancaster.
Douglas Brent, a parent whose children are high school students, was among those who spoke in support of restoring the logo.
“Nobody was trying to be demeaning to the local Indian tribes that were here,” he said.

This second attempt was expressly anti-MAGA.
