South Carolina Senator (and former GOP presidential contender) Tim Scott has had a busy weekend. On Friday, Scott formally endorsed his former presidential primary opponent, Donald Trump. Then, on Saturday, Scott popped the question to girlfriend Mindy Noce on the beach in Kiawah Island, South Carolina — and she said, "Yes." Scott, 58, first introduced the world to his then-girlfriend following the third GOP presidential debate in November. As Sister Toldjah reported at the time:
Though Scott revealed back in May that he did have a significant other in his life, he was mum on the details which is kinda understandable considering a) it's his private business and b) the mud

President Joe Biden has at least two X accounts -- or at least his handlers do. @POTUS and @JoeBiden are both known for posting cringe-worthy messages that are often devoid of reality. But of all the people who should not be making fun of someone else's mental agility, it's Joe Biden. He is a walking gaffe machine -- sometimes a falling gaffe machine -- and is prone to speaking gibberish, talking to people who are in another state, and having death match smackdowns with his teleprompter. But somebody on Team Biden decided it would be a good idea to bring attention to the subject of mental fitness:

As part of an overall effort to turn Texas from a Republican stronghold into a blue state, billionaire progressive financier George Soros is pouring oodles of cash into the state’s races to bolster support for far-leftist candidates. The idea is to transform Texas into a Democratic playground, and the strategy could work if the state Republican Party doesn’t find an answer to this political offensive.
George Soros is pouring money into local Democratic parties in Texas in a ploy to help Democrats turn the state blue, according to the Texas Tribune.
Soros, working with the Texas Majority PAC, donated six-figure sums to the Democratic parties of Hidalgo, Cameron and Dallas counties, all

The fictional John Wick, a retired assassin, got back into the business because bad guys killed his dog, a foolish decision resulting in almost 500 deaths at John Wick’s hands. That, of course, is the movies. Real life is Rep. Dan Crenshaw (D-TX) gunning politically for United Airlines (“UA”) because an airline executive, instead of apologizing after an employee manhandled Crenshaw’s dog, refused to acknowledge the airline’s error and, instead, attacked Crenshaw. I’m no Dan fan, but I can support him in his fight against an airline that is so committed to political correctness that it’s abandoned customer service and, along the way, seems to be putting Americans at risk.

Several U.S. personnel were injured in a missile attack Saturday night by Iranian-backed rebels on Al-Asad Airbase in Iraq, the Pentagon said.
At about 6:30 p.m. local time, multiple ballistic missiles and rockets were fired by Iranian-backed militants from western Iraq, U.S. Central Command said in a statement posted on social media.
The base's air defense systems intercepted "most of the missiles," but "others impacted the base," CENTCOM reported. Multiple U.S. personnel were being evaluated for traumatic brain injuries, CENTCOM said, and at least one Iraqi soldier was also wounded. No further details were immediately provided. This marks the 144th attack on U.S. troops

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley on Saturday questioned Donald Trump’s mental fitness after he appeared to confuse her with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi when talking about the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.
“Last night, Trump is at a rally and he’s going on and on mentioning me several times as to why I didn’t take security during the Capitol riots. Why I didn’t handle January 6 better. I wasn’t even in DC on January 6. I wasn’t in office then,” Haley said. “They’re saying he got confused. That he was talking about something else. That he was talking about Nancy Pelosi. He mentioned me multiples

DAMASCUS, Syria — An Israeli strike on the Syrian capital on Saturday destroyed a building used by the Iranian paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, killing at least five Iranians, Syrian and Iranian state media reported.
The Syrian army said the building in the tightly guarded western Damascus neighborhood of Mazzeh was entirely destroyed, adding that the Israeli air force fired the missiles while flying over Syria’s Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The Israeli military did not comment.
A few hours later, an Israeli drone strike on a car near the southern Lebanese port city of Tyre killed two Hezbollah members who were in the vehicle and two people who were in a nearby orchard, an official

In a move that is sure to affect no one with the good sense to not read The Los Angeles Times, employees of the nation's fifth-largest newspaper went on strike. The walk-out came amid arguments over layoffs and a lack of pay raises. Get ready for some whiplash as these spoiled, over-credentialed journalists realize there are consequences to their actions. Kiera Feldman, an investigative reporter at the outlet, seems rather gung-ho, doesn't she? "Let's gooooooooo," she proclaims as if she's picking up a rifle and charging into the battle with her bayonet fixed. Clearly, she's ready to endure whatever may come in her righteous fight for whatever

Senator Tim Scott (R., S.C.), who dropped out of the 2024 presidential race in November, endorsed former president Donald Trump at a New Hampshire rally Friday night, four days before the state’s Republican primary.
“We need Donald Trump,” Scott repeatedly told voters in Concord, N.H., declaring the former president as the best candidate to defeat President Joe Biden in November. “That’s why I came to the very warm state of New Hampshire,” he said, drawing laughter from the audience, “to endorse the next president of these United States, President Donald Trump.”
Scott joined Vivek Ramaswamy and Governor Doug Burgum (R., N.D.) in becoming the third former Republican presidential candidate

The stock market keeps scaling new heights as investors focus on the good and ignore the bad, no matter how bad the bad parts might look sometimes.
Prospects for a slowing economy, geopolitical unrest and turmoil in Washington aren't scaring market participants largely because none of those threats have turned into much in reality.
What instead has taken center stage is an economy performing remarkably well, inflation pulling back and a run of positive developments in Big Tech that has outweighed any what-ifs that the market has had to endure.
"If investors are looking for a reason to be negative, it's hard to find," said Mitchell Goldberg, president of ClientFirst Strategy,
