National Review, by James Lynch Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/3/2025 10:39:54 PM Financial services company Citi is walking back its political de-banking policy and its requirement for retail clients to restrict gun sales, making it the latest large corporation to distance itself from progressive corporate governance.
Citi announced the changes Tuesday after examining its corporate policies in light of shifts to the regulatory climate and President Trump’s executive orders.
“We will update our employee Code of Conduct and our customer-facing Global Financial Access Policy to clearly state that we do not discriminate on the basis of political affiliation
Hot Air, by David Strom Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/3/2025 2:45:50 PM If you spend any amount of time on X, it's impossible to miss the pattern.
Democrats are angry. Depressed. They scream at the camera. They fantasize about violence against "oppressors." They film themselves weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth. Just as you can be reasonably certain that anybody who flies an American flag is a Republican, you can be equally confident that everybody who wears a mask in 2025 (or back in 2024, 2023, or 2022) is a strong Democrat. Democrats scream about "feeling unsafe" when people disagree with them. They get deeply upset, even frantic, when their core beliefs are even mildly challenged.
National Review, by Brittany Bernstein Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/3/2025 2:35:42 PM Elon Musk, the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, on Tuesday dismissed President Trump’s “big, beautiful” spending bill as a “disgusting abomination.”
“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” he said in a post on X.
“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” he added.
Musk’s comments on Tuesday represent an even harsher reaction to the bill than his previous criticisms. He had previously said he was “disappointed”
Hot Air, by Beege Welborn Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/3/2025 11:46:43 AM One year ago, after winning the Dutch elections while forfeiting his right to be Prime Minister in order to get a coalition government formed, populist 'far-right' politician Geert Wilders thought all the ducks were in line to begin a shift away from what he felt were many of the ruininous European Union policies, particularly their immigration diktats.
In July of 2024, a Dutch government including Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) was sworn in, and hopes were high all over Europe that a retreat from progressive leadership was beginning.
The Netherlands’ new cabinet was sworn in Tuesday, making it the first time that Geert Wilders’ far-right party became a part of the Dutch government.

FDA Commissioner Marty Makary wrote a letter to pro-life Senator Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) Monday informing him of the agency’s plan to conduct a review of mifepristone.
“As with all drugs, FDA continues to closely monitor the postmarketing safety data on mifepristone for the medical termination of early pregnancy,” Makary said.

PJ Media, by Matt Margolis Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/2/2025 4:32:53 PM Things have not gone well for the Democrats for a while, and it seems like there’s been an endless stream of bad news for them. Well, it’s gotten even worse. Despite months of Democrats pushing apocalyptic economic narratives and Trump’s alleged economic policy failures, new polling data reveals that voters aren't buying what the left is selling. The numbers paint a devastating picture for Democrats who have staked their political fortunes on convincing Americans that their economic policies work.
CNN pollster Harry Enten delivered some brutal news for Democrats during a recent segment, highlighting polling data that should send shockwaves through the party's leadership.

BBC [UK], by Paul Seddon & Jonathan Beale Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/2/2025 9:30:29 AM The UK will build "up to" 12 new attack submarines, the prime minister will announce, as the government unveils its major defence review on Monday.
The new conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines will replace the seven-strong Astute class from the late 2030s onwards.
The review is expected to recommend the armed forces move to "warfighting readiness" to deter growing threats faced by the UK.
The prime minister is also expected to confirm the UK will spend £15bn on its nuclear warhead programme.
Sir Keir will say that, alongside the UK's nuclear-armed submarines, the new vessels would keep "Britain and Nato safe for decades".
Hot Air, by David Strom Original Article Posted by Dreadnought — 6/2/2025 9:03:52 AM No, Jamie Dimon isn't predicting an invasion of or civil war in the United States, but during his wide-ranging discussion at the Reagan National Economic Forum, he did issue some dire warnings about how American policymakers have made some very poor decisions in recent years that threaten economic turmoil in the near term and our long-term dominance in the medium term.
Dimon, as you likely know, is CEO of JP Morgan Chase and the most powerful banker in the world, making him one of the powerful people in the world. While Dimon is not a magician, it would be stupid to ignore his observations and warnings.

The victims ranged in age from 67 to 88 years old.
One of them, according to a friend who spoke to 9News, survived the Holocaust, an actual genocide where Nazis systematically murdered millions of Jews.

The attack took over a year and a half to plan and was personally supervised by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the sources added.
Ukrainian officials did not give the Trump administration advance notice of the attack, both Ukrainian and U.S. officials told Axios.
