there are still 11 months yet, to get to November so, remember that the demcommies never stop politicizing any topic and have the media in their back pocket so - the important and imperative thing to remember is to VOTE in November and in the primaries in your states because - we have got to increase our numbers in the House and drive out the RINO's in the Senate and - foremost, give the heave-ho to mitch mcconnell and send him back to cut tobacco in Kentucky

And I begin 2024 with a sense of dread. Is it already too late? will the powers that be allow a Republican to win the election? If Republicans win, even with Trump winning the presidency, will the rest of the party work to undermine Trump as they did last time? And frankly, I think this is the BEST outcome we could hope for. Other much worse alternatives include leftist simply seizing power under some trumped up emergency, assassinating President Trump, WWIII erupting (it’s already begun), China taking Taiwan, Iran nuking Israel, another scamdemic, etc. it’s great to know Republicans are optimistic. I’ll sleep better knowing this.

"Electoral optimism"?!? That's not even close to what I'm feeling right now. How about 'national pessimism'? As in, my country is literally going down the tubes, and it's apparently too far gone to even survive for the next 10-12 months! Whatever FJB's minions haven't accomplished by then will most certainly end in a war with Russia or Iran.....not good odds. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln.....

A never-ending massacre of Christians being "killed for sport" is reportedly happening in Nigeria, yet the world appears to be largely deaf to the matter. While much of the world this week has been celebrating a beginning – Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ – in Nigeria they are mourning the end of life – the deaths of more than 100 Christians – as the world remains virtually silent. Armed bandits ran amok, according to Amnesty International, in some 20 communities across central Nigeria, killing more than 140. In a country where accurate statistics are traditionally hard to come by, some sources have put the death toll closer to 200.

At the end of the year, we are on the razor's edge of many things that soon may blow up. Americans are far beyond President Joe Biden's serial untruths of some eight years that he never discussed Hunter Biden's various get-rich-quick schemes. All were predicated on the perception of foreign interests purchasing from the Biden family the influence of then-senator, vice president, and possibly soon-to-be President Joe Biden. The Bidens now risk exposure to criminal charges of multimillion-dollar tax fraud, perjury, influence selling, and bribery as congressional committees and a special prosecutor unravel years of tangled-up quid pro quos.

In 1898, the United States government acquired Puerto Rico through the Treaty of Paris, which ended the Spanish-American War. This was only one year after Spain had granted the island the power to self-govern. But after Spain lost the war, they ceded control of Puerto Rico. At the time, Puerto Rico's population was just under 1 million. Most were living in poverty. It wasn't uncommon for families to spend the majority of their income on food. Many people worked for only cents per day harvesting sugarcane. Others owned farms or worked inland on coffee and tobacco fields. "Imagine that about 90% of your income is spent on food, and you're still malnourished.

Democrats in Pennsylvania — President Biden's birthplace — are flipping to the Republican Party in droves, according to the swing state's recent voter registration data. Pennsylvania holds crucial importance for Biden's reelection bid. He notably hailed Philadelphia campaign donors as the "backbone" of his presidential campaign earlier this year. As of Dec. 18, 35,589 Democrats reregistered as Republicans in the state so far this year; in contrast, 15,622 Republicans switched to the Democratic Party, data from the state department shows. The state trend was first reported Tuesday by Newsweek.

President Biden needs a big boost to win in 2024; the economy won’t be it. Despite the stock market’s recent euphoria over coming Federal Reserve rate cuts, this will not have the political impact many may imagine. Even if these cuts come, there simply will not be time to undo the damage that Biden has already incurred with America’s economy. Biden is in deep political trouble. He is in trouble generally, as the Real Clear Politics national polling averages show. His job approval is just 40.5 percent (versus 55.9 percent disapproval), he trails Trump 44.5 percent to 46.8 percent in head-to-head polls and his favorability is lowest of all

We should remember the now modern proverb of Nixon-era economic advisor Herb Stein to the effect that what cannot go on (without destroying the nation), simply will not go on. In some sense, the country for recent years has been cruising on the fumes from prior and likely better wiser generations and institutions. In 2024, the tab for our current apathy, toxic politics, and incompetence will come due. So next year we will likely see the climax to a number of current dangerous ideas, events, and forces, which finally will either overwhelm us or be addressed and remedied. Successful public health campaigns and medical advances have enabled the United States to conquer a range of disfiguring and damaging diseases. Polio, which paralyzed thousands of Americans annually, was wiped out by widespread vaccinations. In 1999 the nation’s last hospital for lepers closed its doors in Louisiana. A global campaign eradicated smallpox, while lethal tuberculosis, the “consumption” that stalked characters in decades of literature, seemed beaten by antibiotics. Measles outbreaks still occur from time to time, but they are small, local, and easily contained. Recently, however, some of these forgotten but still formidable infectious diseases have begun to reappear in the U.S.

"I have decided that I will no longer be a candidate for president in the 2024 election." Most Democrats and the vast majority of voters overall hope that Joe Biden will utter those words sometime before the party’s national convention, which convenes in Chicago next August. It could happen. More importantly, it should happen. Polls show that Biden is deeply unpopular. Beyond serious concerns about his advanced age and diminished mental acuity, his job performance on every major policy issue that Americans care about is a dismal report card of inept management or misjudgment.

Upon leaving the White House on Saturday before spending his Christmas at Camp David, Biden was asked by a reporter about his "outlook" of the economy going into 2024. "All good. Take a look," Biden responded. "Start reporting it the right way," he added with a smirk. Biden has repeatedly been critical of the press, which he accuses of focusing more on negative news than positive things that come from his administration. But his approval among Americans continues reaching historic lows and his handling of the economy is a heavy factor in his unpopularity.

Tensions are increasing between President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
