Former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) took to X the day after Christmas to bash former President Donald Trump, claiming that Christians who support him “don’t understand” their faith.
“I’m going to go out on a NOT limb here: this man is not a Christian,” Kinzinger posted Tuesday, in response to Trump’s Truth Social Christmas message in which he told corrupt members of the “swamp” to “rot in hell.” [Tweet]
Kinzinger went on to assert, “If you are a Christian who supports him you don’t understand your own religion.”
“Trump is weak, meager, smelly, victim-ey, belly-achey, but he ain’t a Christian and he’s not ‘Gods man,'” the Trump critic added.

An LA-based company, Channel 1, claims it will become the first news network to utilize AI-generated news anchors starting next year.
The Daily Mail reports that Channel 1, an LA-based news channel hoping to launch in the near future, is planning to introduce AI news anchors. These AI-generated anchors, set to debut as early as February on ad-supported streaming platforms like Crackle, Tubi, and Pluto, represent a significant shift in news broadcasting. The AI anchors are created using a blend of digital doubles and animated faces, designed to mimic real human behavior and expressions. However, despite their naturalistic hand gestures, a closer examination reveals a number of irregularities

The Methodist Church of Great Britain has called on its ministers, deacons, and elders to stop using offensive terminology such as “husband” and “wife” to avoid making assumptions that are not “the reality for many people.”
The church added the changes to its “Inclusive Language Guide,” an initiative aimed at preventing the use of “hurtful language” directed at groups the Methodist Church believes have been “marginalised and/or demonised by common culture.” The church plans to update the Inclusive Language Guide every six months to avoid using language that could offend groups it perceives as marginalized.

Hundreds of pro-Palestine demonstrators marched at Times Square and then in a walk from Zuccotti Park to the World Trade Center, continuing protests in a week where anti-Israel marchers have shut down traffic at JFK Airport.
Chants of 'Biden you will see, Palestine will be free' and 'Israel bombs, USA pays, how many kids did you kill today?' was part of the rhetoric used by the protesters.
Effigies representing children killed in Gaza were seen after people took part in silent procession which was organized partly by elderly Jewish groups through Midtown Manhattan earlier Thursday.

The arrival of more than 160,000 border crossers and illegal aliens is spurring “the erosion of the quality of life” for New Yorkers, Mayor Eric Adams (D) says.
During a press conference alongside Chicago, Illinois, Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) and Denver, Colorado, Mayor Mike Johnston (D), Adams warned again that New York City is falling into disarray as a result of illegal immigration.
Every day, President Joe Biden’s administration releases about 5,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States interior — many ending up in New York City, where they can work off the books, receive protection from the city’s sanctuary policy, and enjoy free housing

Presidential hopeful Nikki Haley has been slammed for refusing to say that slavery was the main cause of the Civil War.
Haley, the 51-year-old former governor for South Carolina, blundered her way through the question at town hall debate in Berlin, New Hampshire, on Wednesday night.
The former UN representative jokingly told the audience member 'well, don't come with an easy question', before claiming that the Civil War was fought for freedom and ideological differences in how governments ought to work.

Special Counsel Jack Smith's office asked a federal judge Wednesday to prevent former President Donald Trump from introducing evidence at his Jan. 6 criminal trial concerning selective prosecution and security failures that occurred at the Capitol or making arguments his actions were protected by the First Amendment, suggesting such a defense amounted to politics.

In late December 2020, President Trump made a call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger asking him to look at some of the items that were uncovered by his auditor.
There was plenty of evidence for a competent auditor or any man of integrity to know that the election was uncertifiable.
Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger’s office secretly recorded the phone call with President Trump, then lied about its contents later when they leaked it to the far-left Washington Post.
Raffensperger’s office ran to the Washington Post and leaked a fraudulent transcript of the call.

In a letter from Dec. 19, every Democrat from Minnesota’s congressional delegation asked the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to prioritize aid to Somalia.
Citing recent flooding and torrential rains in Somalia, the Democrats asked USAID to “keep aid to Somalia at the forefront of your operations.”

Maine's secretary of state has said she would welcome the Supreme Court reviewing her decision to disqualify Donald Trump from the primary ballot, admitting the move was unprecedented.
Sheena Bellows on Thursday ruled that Trump could not be on their ballot, in a move which mirrored the December 19 decision made by Colorado's Supreme Court.
Both Colorado and Maine found that Trump had participated in an insurrection, and so was ineligible to hold office, under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

The Pennsylvania legislature passed a resolution making 2023 the "Taylor Swift Era" in the Keystone State. Sponsored by Democratic state Rep. Danielle Otten, a vote passed the resolution 103 to 100 on Dec. 13, the pop star's 34th birthday. (snip) Other members of the chamber criticized the resolution. Republican Rep. Stephanie Borowicz took the floor to add to the mix of comments. (snip) "Giving Taylor Swift an era while our veterans get a day. Taking down our founding fathers' statues while elevating a Hollywood singer," Borowicz continued. "I'm a no, thank you Madam Speaker."
