President Biden ordered strikes on three locations in Iraq after three U.S. service members were wounded, one critically, in an attack early Christmas morning credited to a militia group backed by Iran.
In a statement Monday, National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said Biden directed the strikes against three facilities used by Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups, which claimed credit for the initial attack against U.S. personnel. The groups, the U.S. said, are all connected to Iran.
The U.S. attack was carried out by a one-way attack drone, according to the statement, which said the three locations were “focused specifically on unmanned aerial drone activities.”

Former President Trump in an unusual Christmas message on Truth Social called for various people he sees as “looking to destroy” the nation to “rot in Hell.”
It was one of several Christmas messages on the former president’s preferred social media platform going after President Biden, special counsel Jack Smith and other political opponents throughout Monday. The opponents included world leaders and people in favor of the use of electric cars.
“Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith,” Trump began in a Truth Social post at 2:38 p.m.

The U.S. military is facing a recruitment crisis, and one Army vet says it’s the Democrats — not young Americans — who are to blame. As BizPac Review reported, the Pentagon warned Congress last week that America’s fighting force heading into 2024 is the smallest it has been since before World War II
Speaking before the House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday, Ashish Vazirani, the Pentagon’s acting undersecretary for personnel and readiness, revealed that “the All-Volunteer Force faces the greatest challenge since its inception.”

Controversy surrounds far-left billionaire financier George Soros once more, but this time, the conversation isn’t centered around his political influence or financial dealings.
Recent photos shared on Daily Mail showed 93-year-old Soros taking a swim in Bridgetown, Barbados, with a muscular entourage have ignited a flurry of online criticism and speculative commentary about the nature of his companions.
One X user pointed out the eye-catching physique of the men accompanying Soros, quipping, “They say that money can’t buy love, but it can buy whatever is going on here,

Former President Donald Trump has launched a Christmas-themed ad blitz in early voting states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina ahead of the upcoming primary races. The video centers on a 2018 visit Trump made to the troops in Iraq as president. The ad, which was released on Sunday, features Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who previously served as White House press secretary under the Trump administration. She recounted the former president’s Christmas visit to the troops serving in the region.

Two GOP members of Congress received nasty gifts on Christmas when pranksters swatted their homes.
Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Brandon Williams (R-NY) stated in separate social media posts that they were victims of swatting incidents on Monday. Both said the pranksters targeted their homes.Swatting is the act of making a false call to emergency services with the goal of sending law enforcement or first responders to someone’s home. The prank qualifies as a criminal offense in many cities and states.
Greene has been a repeated victim of swatting during her Congressional career as the establishment news media continue to stoke left-wing vitriol against her, especially regarding her opposition

Normalizing gender dysphoria quickly became a top priority of the Biden administration, particularly in 2023. But perhaps what made it seem worse was the overt targeting of children, as the Democrat’s administration made clear several times throughout the year.
Here are eight instances of the Biden administration promoting — and even championing — gender confusion on society’s most vulnerable and sometimes going as far as scolding parents who oppose his agenda.
1. Biden’s Pride Month Proclamation
President Biden kicked off
what society has deemed “Pride Month” in June with a proclamation, which he used to lambast states that have taken action to protect children from the leftist-ordained practice of mutilating their God-given bodies

Upon leaving the White House on Saturday before spending his Christmas at Camp David, Biden was asked by a reporter about his "outlook" of the economy going into 2024.
"All good. Take a look," Biden responded.
"Start reporting it the right way," he added with a smirk. Biden has repeatedly been critical of the press, which he accuses of focusing more on negative news than positive things that come from his administration.
But his approval among Americans continues reaching historic lows and his handling of the economy is a heavy factor in his unpopularity.

Another day, another leak.
Special Counsel Jack Smith has “sprawling” evidence against President Trump, CBS News reporter Robert Costa said citing sources.
“Based on our reporting at CBS News, the special counsel has phone records,” Robert Costa said. “He has memos and diary entries from key witnesses, like former Vice President Mike Pence, key eyewitness testimony from people who are inside the Oval Office with Trump.”
Robert Costa continued, “But they had something in the special counsel’s office the January 6th Committee never had which is subpoena power to really go deep with witnesses and not just get public testimony and some depositions....”

While the left continues its attempts to eradicate the word “Christmas” if not the celebration itself, it has yet to make a dent in Yuletide songs, if radio airplay is any indication. Perhaps where you live there is at least one radio station that plays Christmas music from the day after Thanksgiving, if not sooner, until December 25. It has become a big ratings boost for many radio stations across the U.S. Stations that don’t go all-Christmas music usually mix some in with their regular formats. There are some songs in particular that lift our spirits or touch our hearts year after year, including these:

Some years back, my blogger pal, the inestimable Robert Stacy McCain, released his "Five Rules for Getting a Million Hits on Your Blog." Of those, the most famous was Rule Five: "Everybody loves a pretty girl." This is a principle with a lot of history behind it, as anyone who is old enough to remember the ubiquitous auto-parts store calendars of a few years past.It should come as a surprise to no one that I'm rather a fan of Rule Five myself.
Now we see that Conservative Dad, the guy behind Ultra Right Beer, is channeling Mr. McCain's rule in his latest effort, which is the "Real Women of America" calendar.

Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been slammed for her Christmas post that called Israel a violent occupying force and likened Jesus to the Palestinians.
Posting on Instagram on Christmas Eve, AOC shared a photo of a child lying on a pile of rubble surrounded by wooden nativity scene icons.
Accompanying the photo, the New Yorker wrote: 'In the story of Christmas, Christ was born in modern-day Palestine under the threat of a government engaged in a massacre of innocents.' She went on to compare Jesus being hunted by King Herod to the 'right-wing forces' currently 'violently occupying Bethlehem.'

After all the hullabaloo about the 'love of the Palestinian children' we've had shoved in our faces to demonize Israel and its war on terror these past months, here's what amounts to 'love' from the Hamas terrorists.
According to Legal Insurrection, citing news sources:
"The Israeli ground offensive continues to expose the depths of Hamas’ depravity. The Islamic terrorist group that burnt and beheaded Israeli babies on October 7, is now apparently grooming Gaza’s children to become suicide bombers in its jihad against the advancing Israeli troops.
Israeli soldiers found ‘child-sized suicide vests’ during a raid in northern Gaza, the Israeli media reported Sunday citing military sources.
The children’s suicide vests were reportedly hidden

Mariah Carey's iconic festive hit, All I Want For Christmas Is You, has won millions of fans across the world with its feel-good lyrics and music video.
The 1994 track shoots to the top of the charts every Christmas - with Carey proudly dubbing herself 'the Queen of Christmas' and making an estimated $3million off the track every year.
However, the fraught backstory to the track means it has lost a touch of its festive sparkle - as Carey was slammed in December 2022 by the song's co-writer Walter Afanasieff for allegedly 'spinning a tall tale' about composing the track as a child on a keyboard.

“Are you a Trump supporter now?” is the question my friends, acquaintances, and colleagues sometimes ask me. (snip) What the Democrats and Never Trumpers want now is to push Trump and MAGA back into the danger zone. They want more violence. They want riots. They want an uprising that they can then bring in the military, weaponize dissent, speech, and ideology, and have the full backing of the American public. We’re almost there now.
But don’t take the bait, MAGA. You can defeat them by being the calm, reasonable side. Make them the crazy ones.

Like many nations worldwide Ukraine has traditionally marked Christmas on January 7th according to the Julian calendar, but is celebrating on December 25th for the first time this year, a report notes.
Ukraine is signaling its difference from Russia in a new way, by departing from the Orthodox tradition of observing the Julian calendar and Christmas on January 7th and celebrating the ancient holiday according to the Gregorian calendar on December 25th instead. As a report on the change by British state broadcaster the BBC notes, the change was made in law by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky back in the summer.

On January 8, the red state of Louisiana is finally going to be led by a conservative Republican as Governor. In the October gubernatorial primary, Attorney General Jeff Landry defeated fifteen other candidates. He will be inheriting a state with massive problems, made worse by outgoing Governor, John Bel Edwards, a leftwing Democrat.
In 2015, Edwards defeated a damaged Republican candidate, embroiled in a prostitution scandal. He campaigned as a conservative Democrat, with a military background and pro-second amendment and pro-life positions. Unfortunately, he has governed as a typical liberal, embracing big government solutions, eschewing needed budget and fiscal reform, and spewing typical progressive rhetoric

For Gayle Harvey Heckman of Michigan, this might be the first time she could have some merriment on Christmas. The reason is simple: her mother is dead. Ms. Heckman went on a Genghis Khan rampage against her late mother, who she described as “violent, cruel, and hateful.” It didn’t stop there. The obituary also revealed disturbing allegations of serial sexual abuse, which floored the readership of Wilcox Newspapers. The piece was so shocking that the newspaper pulled the submission. For their part, management admitted they didn’t give the obituary a “good look” before publishing (via The Messenger):

It seems clear to me that Jack Smith was appointed for the purpose of besetting Donald J. Trump and finding a means to keep him from running for president again. If I’m right, Smith's many strategies have come to naught this week and it is extremely unlikely that the cases he instituted in the District of Columbia and Florida (meritless as I think they are) will ever be resolved before the election.
The case in the District of Columbia is being heard before Judge Tanya Chutkan. She indicated she wants to hear the case this coming March and has been firm about sticking to that.

Colorado is generally regarded as a blue state, but it is home to many Republicans. In the last presidential election, nearly 1.4 million voters cast ballots for then-President Trump. Yet the state Supreme Court has handed down a ruling that strips them of their right to do so again. Four of the court’s seven Democrat-appointed justices found that Trump’s role in the fabled Jan. 6 “insurrection” disqualifies him from appearing on Colorado’s ballot. This ruling earned them the wrath of the former President’s supporters and the derision of all but a few hyper-partisan constitutional scholars. Nor will it survive the inevitable appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
