Former President Donald Trump filed a brief with the Supreme Court Wednesday urging justices to delay a decision on whether he has “absolute immunity” for actions he took as president. He has been charged by Special Counsel Jack Smith with plotting to overturn the 2020 election. Even for most people who have been writing about the lunatic ravings of the Democrats and their flying monkeys in the mainstream media, the 2024 United States presidential election is going to bring us weirdness and hysteria like we've never seen. I've been talking and writing about that since Donald Trump began racing away in the primary polling, and the lefties have been working overtime to prove that I still have some powers of political prognostication. Joe Biden was already checking out mentally when he announced that he was running for president back in 2019. His infamous "basement campaign" in 2020 had far more to do with

Every year, The Christmas Story is a holiday feature. I enjoy it a lot! The Chinese restaurant ending is great! Everything about this movie is so politically incorrect, from the old man to Mrs. Parker, to just about everything else. Remember the line about the old man being as good as an “Arab trader” when they are looking for Christmas trees? What about the lamp? The late Roger Ebert reviewed this movie in 2000. I’m not sure why he waited so long but he nailed it. This is Mr. Ebert’s review: One of the details that ‘A Christmas Story’ gets right is the threat

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue recently filed a lien against the property of Ashley Biden for $5,000 she has owed in income taxes since 2015. Her father was the vice president at the time. Ashley lives in Philadelphia with her husband. Liens enable the government to recoup unpaid taxes. The amount would be higher than the original amount because the government adds hefty penalties and interest. Maybe she should move to Maryland. Michael Byrd, the Capitol police officer who murdered Ashli Babbitt on January 6, seems to have no fear of the government coming after him. He has owed the government $56,366 since 2019.

The all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court last night barred Donald Trump from the state's 2024 Republican ballot over his role in the January 6 riot - with legal experts warning they have imperiled American democracy. The 4-3 decision marks the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment - which disqualifies insurrectionists from office - has been used to eliminate a presidential candidate. Justices Richard L. Gabriel, Melissa Hart, Monica Márquez and William W. Hood III said that they had 'little difficulty' in determining that the events of January 6 were an insurrection and that Trump did 'engage' in that alleged rebellion.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has pledged to withdraw from the Colorado state primary in response to the recent ruling that bars former President Trump from being on the ballot. As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled “in a 4-3 opinion that the Constitution’s ‘Insurrection Clause’ prohibits former President Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot for the presidency in 2024.”

People who are driven from public office by scandal usually take a timeout to recover from the shame. Those who later try to return do so with promises they learned their lessons, and some even go on apology tours to ask for a second chance. Then there’s Andrew Cuomo. Humble pie is not for him. He resigned as New York’s governor in August 2021 rather than face certain impeachment and conviction over a slew of issues but never admitted guilt or serious error and soon began plotting a comeback. When polls showed he would finish a distant third in a three-way race for his former job in 2022, he took a pass.

The backlog of pending cases in the nation’s immigration courts has hit 3 million, as millions of border migrants have been released into the United States to seek asylum in the past three years. It’s a shocking figure, but just the latest example of the president’s efforts to break the immigration-enforcement system, likely to force a massive amnesty he has long sought. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — among others — has accused former President Trump of “gutting” the immigration system, but such claims are little more than projection.

"Are you better off than you were four years ago?" OK, it's not quite four years into this Joe Biden in the White House nightmare, but the sentiment in Ronald Reagan's question from the 1980 presidential campaign is an important one, especially when applied to the global scene. In my last, "Trump Derangement Syndrome Meltdown of the Week Column," the winner was an Opinion article that posited that a Trump victory next year would throw the world order into chaos. My first thought was, "Does this guy have internet?" A quick glance around the international news indicates that chaos is present everywhere during the Biden presidency.

Foreign policy is still subject to domestic politics, no matter how far away the theater of battle is. That is a pretty reliable rule, and it explains much of what people are finding inexplicable: the insistence that the Biden administration is giving Israel “tough love” in private conversations while publicly supporting the IDF’s mission in Gaza. “Netanyahu’s war bluster exposes growing rift with Biden,” reports The Hill, putting a slightly more dramatic gloss on a version of the same story you can read today in the New York Times, Washington Post, and elsewhere. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s trip to Israel yesterday, reports the Times, “was part of a full-court press

You know, as Republicans, we want that border secure. You know, we want the right fiscal policies in place. We wanted to drain the swamp. He didn’t do any of it. And there’s no, you don’t even have to run ads on that. He just didn’t get it done. ” He continued, “You know, it’s funny when you he was here over the weekend, and he spent all this
