Members of the anti-war feminist group Codepink have firmly rejected claims they secretly take money from Beijing — but then refused to condemn the detention of Uyghurs and other human rights abuses in China.
House Republicans this week launched a probe into the anti-war progressive group, which calls for Pentagon spending cuts to tackle climate change, pointing to the group's ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
DailyMail.com spoke to senior Codepink activists about the allegations. They fervently rejected all claims that they take cash from Beijing, but also appeared unwilling to say anything critical about China's widely-reported abysmal track record on human rights.

Former President Donald Trump “poses the biggest danger to the world in 2024,” says the Economist, a leading globalist magazine.
“A shadow looms over the world,” declares the November 16 article, adding that “the prospect of a second Trump term fills the world’s parliaments and boardrooms with despair. But despair is not a plan. It is past time to impose order on anxiety.”
The article does not suggest any plan to “impose order” on American democracy. In prior decades, establishment groups often offered concessions — mostly insincere — to millions of ordinary U.S. voters.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, House Speaker Mike Johnson released the first batch of January 6th footage that is accessible to the general public on the Committee on House Administration website.
Johnson, in a post on X, shared, “To restore America’s trust and faith in their Government, we must have transparency. This is another step towards keeping the promises I made when I was elected to be your Speaker.”
He continued to write, “This website will be updated continuously with thousands of hours of footage.”
As of right now, Rep. Johnson has released over 90 videos that range anywhere between 20 seconds to 10 minutes long.

Worries have sprouted about the potential for violent protests at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, in August on the heels of a violent pro-Palestinian demonstration at the Democrat National Committee (DNC) in Washington, DC, on Wednesday night, according to a report.
After a meeting with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) on Thursday surrounding the convention, Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chief of Staff Rich Guidice told Politico that CPD is getting ready in the case of similar occurrences next summer.
“We have to anticipate that there’s a lot of tension and very passionate positions,” chief of staff Guidice told the outlet. “There’s ongoing training already taking place, specifically in

It appears House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) decision to release all of the J6 footage might already be yielding some fruit. One video shows Capitol Police officers acting in a suspicious manner. In the footage, Capitol Police can be seen walking a man, who appears to be a J6 protester, to an exit in the Capitol building. The man is handcuffed. Once they get close to the metal detector, one of the officers uncuffs the individual, who gives another officer a fist bump before walking out of the building. (X Video)

As former President Donald Trump’s legal difficulties continue to stack up, scheduling conflicts and trial delays offer relief and highlight an emerging path for him to enter the 2024 election without facing a potential conviction, should he be the Republican nominee.
Facing the strain of four separate criminal indictments while running a presidential campaign, Trump has sought to postpone trials in his cases until after the election. At least two judges — the one overseeing his Florida classified documents case and another overseeing his New York case for allegedly falsifying business records — have signaled a willingness to delay, while Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis believes the Georgia trial may

A group of black Chicago residents rallied on the city’s South Side to warn City Hall and the City Council that they are organizing to defeat any official that supports Mayor Brandon Johnson’s fealty to sanctuary city policies and the continued spending of millions on illegal aliens, even to the extent of voting for Republicans over the Democrat Party.
Speakers warned the city’s aldermen that they will be targeted for removal and that blacks in the areas so badly impacted by the onslaught of border crossers flooding into the city would even begin voting for Republicans and independents to defeat Democrats who are so sold-out to the illegal alien lobby.

Thursday on FNC’s “Special Report,” outgoing Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) addressed speculation he would seek the White House as a third-party candidate in 2024.
The West Virginia Democrat gave low marks to the two parties’ frontrunners, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. He told FNC host Bret Baier he had little confidence in either and warned of consequences if Trump were to win a second term. “Well, first of all, we don’t know on Super Tuesday who the two candidates may be on the Democrat and Republican side,” Manchin said. “But right now, I guess all odds are they will be Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
