Israeli security forces delivered 300 liters of diesel fuel to Shifa Hospital in Gaza early Sunday morning and later received intelligence indicating that Hamas had intercepted the delivery, according to a Sunday night IDF statement. The IDF released three separate recordings of the event. The first was an audio recording of an exchange between a representative of the Coordination and Liaison Administration (CLA), which implements civilian policy regarding the Israeli government's activity in the Gaza Strip, and an official from Shifa Hospital. The two discussed the delivery logistics, explaining where to go and how it would be conducted.

Comments:

Audio and video clips attached. The hospital was out of fuel for its generators. Hamas blocked them from accepting 300 liters of diesel fuel from Israel.

WOW!!! 300 liters. That's less than 80 gallons, which might keep a hospital sized generator running for a day. What am I missing?

Israel knew the shipment would be intercepted, so send a small amount just to demonstrate the point. Why waste fuel.

The FBI recently warned consumers against using free public charging stations, saying crooks have managed to hijack public chargers that can infect devices with malware, or software that can give hackers access to your phone, tablet or computer. “Avoid using free charging stations in airports, hotels or shopping centers,” a tweet from the FBI’s Denver field office said. “Bad actors have figured out ways to use public USB ports to introduce malware and monitoring software onto devices. Carry your own charger and USB cord and use an electrical outlet instead.” The FBI offers similar guidance on its website to avoid

A Chinese state-run newspaper issued a warning to Tesla CEO Elon Musk after he shared reporting on the U.S. Department of Energy’s “low confidence” assessment that the global Covid pandemic originated in a Wuhan laboratory. CNBC’s Eunice Yoon reported Tuesday morning on the warning from the social media pages of the Global Times, the English-language subsidiary of the government-controlled People’s Daily. The Global Times warned Musk that he could be “breaking the pot of China” after the Tesla and Twitter CEO responded to tweets that asserted that the Covid pandemic originated in a Wuhan research laboratory.

A study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) on Monday points to a significant change in the proportion of the Canadian population with SARS-CoV-2 antibodies over the first two and a half years of the pandemic and the probability that exposure to both vaccination and infection provides the most durable immunity. The study, conducted by the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) and involving almost 14,000 people, provides a clear view of the changing antibody landscape during the pandemic, and its findings hold implications for pandemic risk assessment and response, according to the authors.

U.S. lawmakers have been under the microscope lately for trading stocks in companies where they or their staff members might have some inside knowledge. The rules for buying and selling stocks were strengthened for Congress in 2012 by the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act. Developing rules about Congress members trading stocks is an ongoing process. The Bipartisan Ban on Congressional Stock Ownership Act of 2022 was introduced in February by Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Steve Daines (R-Mont.), as well as Representatives Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.).

Joe Biden took office promising the most diverse presidential administration in history. Not cohesive, not experienced, and certainly not competent, but definitely diverse. We’re all familiar with Biden’s biggest hits in the diversity game, starting with his vice president, Kamala Harris. The former California senator couldn’t get her own presidential campaign off the ground in 2019, even after she attacked her future boss for being a segregationist at heart. But Biden was determined to make a woman of color the next vice president of the United States, and lucky Kamala was in the right place at the right time. There’s also

Facebook settled claims that it refused to recruit or hire U.S. workers for positions it set aside for temporary visa holders, the Department of Justice announced Tuesday. It also entered a separate settlement with the Department of Labor over potential recruitment violations through a program that makes jobs available to temporary visa holders. Under the program, companies must make good-faith efforts to recruit U.S. workers for the roles. The DOJ settlement stems from a complaint filed under the Trump administration in December 2020, claiming Facebook discriminated against U.S. workers by reserving certain posts for temporary visa holders from at least

The Biden administration may approve a sanctions waiver on Tuesday that will allow Iran to access at least $10 billion in previously frozen funds held in Iraq, a closely watched decision that comes just a month after the Tehran-backed terror group Hamas launched an attack on Israel that left 1,200 dead. The waiver would extend the multibillion-dollar sanctions relief first issued in July that expires tomorrow. It allows Iraq to transfer frozen electricity payments into Iranian-owned bank accounts in Europe and Oman.

Illegal aliens being deported from the United States will be a “horrifying reality” if former President Donald Trump is elected president next year, a spokesman for President Joe Biden’s campaign says. As Breitbart News reported, Trump’s immigration agenda was detailed in the New York Times over the weekend. The plan includes: Mass deportations of illegal aliens; An end to birthright citizenship for the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens; A large-scale increase in immigration detention space; The end of former President Obama’s DACA program for illegal aliens;

In the aftermath of another disappointing election night for Republicans, questions need to be asked about supposedly non-partisan get-out-the-vote (GOTV) operations Democrats are using to ensure their low-propensity voters – and only their low-propensity voters – get to the polls. On March 7, 2021, Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting, President Joe Biden instructed every federal agency to submit a plan to leverage their agency’s personnel and assets to help turn out the vote. For example, agencies might use internal data to identify aid recipients who are not registered to vote, then use agency personnel to get them registered and ensure their ballot is cast and counted.

House Democrats, with the help of a small group of Republicans, on Monday successfully blocked an effort led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., to impeach Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas in a straight up or down vote. The final vote tally was 209-201, with eight Republicans joining all Democrats in support of the latter party's motion to stop that floor vote, and instead refer the impeachment resolution introduced by Greene to the House Homeland Security Committee. Twenty-four members — 12 Democrats and 12 Republicans — did not vote on the measure.

With Tuesday’s relatively easy passage of an Ohio constitutional amendment that effectively bars that state’s legislature from regulating abortion in the state, abortion advocates are now convinced that they not only have the public on their side but have found political gold. They now view abortion as such a winning issue that they think it can pave the way to enacting a wide range of other leftist goals. They are largely mistaken, as abortion mercifully remains a highly contentious issue in America. Still, abortion advocates will continue to prevail until pro-life leaders and politicians learn the political lessons that have arisen

Bill Maher has slammed Barack Obama for his 'moral equivalency' over the Gaza war after the former president called Israel's Palestinian occupation 'unbearable.' The comedian said: 'The attack was only a month ago, a more savage attack than we've ever seen in reverse. There's a big difference in collateral damage and what Hamas did.' The Islamist terror group slaughtered 1,200 civilians and took more than 200 hostage in its massacre on October 7. The commentariat has made much of recent surveys showing Trump ahead of Biden in swing states that probably will decide the outcome of the 2024 presidential election. A Bloomberg/MorningConsult poll released Friday, for example, shows Trump with modest leads among registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Emerson also released a survey on Friday indicating that Trump enjoys leads in the same states. The one that created the most buzz was a New York Times/Siena poll showing Trump ahead by even larger margins in Arizona (+5), Georgia (+6), Michigan (+5), Nevada (+10), and Pennsylvania (+4).

Los Angeles commuters braced for traffic chaos Monday, after a massive weekend fire forced the indefinite closure of Interstate 10, one of the city’s major traffic arteries. Mayor Karen Bass described the situation as a “crisis” for a city already notorious for its traffic woes. She urged travelers to prepare for delays and plan alternative routes while the interstate remains shut down in both directions near Alameda Street in the city’s downtown area. Ahead of the Monday morning commute, a citywide alert was sent to residents’ cell phones warning the freeway “will be closed indefinitely” and to “expect significant traffic.”

Furious migrants are refusing to stay in tent shelters set up for them in New York City - at great expense to the taxpayer - as they prefer their plush hotels in Manhattan. A group of asylum seekers were seen being bused to Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn on Sunday. The site, part of a national park located in southeast of the New York City borough, is expected to hold 2,000 people. But they were immediately loaded on a bus back to Manhattan as they complained that they had jobs back in the city - and their kids had schools to attend.
