The American Medical Association (AMA) will debate whether to reverse its stance on assisted suicide this month at its next interim meeting. A set of resolutions, proposed by AMA’s Resident and Fellow section, suggest the AMA should abandon its opposition to assisted suicide, adopting instead a neutral stance on the practice. The resolutions also propose changing the official language from “assisted suicide” to “medical aid in dying” (MAID) at the meeting,[Snip] These proposals, if adopted, fundamentally change the AMA’s position on assisted suicide. The AMA determined in its last policy deliberations that assisted suicide is “fundamentally incompatible with the physician’s role as healer.”

Ohioans vote Tuesday on Issue 1, a referendum question that would write abortion on demand through birth into the state constitution. Buckeyes: Don’t let pro-abortion advocates lie to you about the extremes of this amendment. This amendment legalizes abortion through birth for any reason. No restriction on abortion prior to birth would be constitutional in Ohio. [Snip] Not requiring doctors to be have admitting privileges in a local hospital. (Abortionists claim it’s “unnecessary” because, sure, a hospital will take in an emergency patient. But it’s also a dirty little secret that lots of abortionists have no local connections, but often travel to multiple places.)

LANSING, Michigan - Michigan Democrats continued their push to remove any limits on the intentional killing of preborn babies up until the moment of birth, with a late-night passage on Wednesday of House Bill 4949. The “Reproductive Health Act” legislation follows up on a vote last November to enshrine a “right” to abortion in the state constitution.[Snip]Although the legislation will allow for the unrestricted killing of preborn babies at any stage of the pregnancy, it did not go far enough for Planned Parenthood, which criticized the minimal restrictions still in place.

Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Diocese of Arlington is urging Virginia Catholics to vote early and understand the choices between “good and evil” they have in this year’s elections.[Snip]Abortion is one of the top issues in Virginia this year[Snip] It would only take a net gain of two Senate seats to establish a pro-life majority in the chamber because Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears, who is pro-life, would hold a tiebreaking vote.[Snip]Planned Parenthood is spending over $1.5 million in this year’s elections in Virginia. The ACLU has already spent nearly $1 million attacking pro-life candidates.

CINCINNATI, OH - Just days ahead of a statewide vote on whether to enshrine abortion “rights” in the Ohio Constitution, vandalism is reportedly on the rise against Catholic churches in the Buckeye State. On November 7, Ohioans will vote on Issue 1, the proposed “Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety Amendment,” [Snip] According to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, the amendment would go far beyond even the Roe v. Wade and block prohibitions on partial-birth and dismemberment abortions, allow abortionists to target disabled babies, and end parental consent requirements for abortion as well as minors’ contraception, sterilization, and “gender transition” decisions.

Every year, from mid-October to early December, millions of Medicare beneficiaries get the chance to pick a new health plan. With dozens to choose from and a blizzard of advertising, more seniors are going with the simplest, cheapest option: privately run plans known as Medicare Advantage.[Snip]Yet Medicare Advantage has drawbacks--notably, its exorbitant cost. Government reports show the program routinely overcharges taxpayers relative to original Medicare--to the tune of $27 billion this year alone--at a time when the system’s solvency is at risk.[Snip]How did Medicare Advantage become, as one study put it, a “money machine”? (Or, less charitably, a “great big rip-off”?)

More of this is needed. Today, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin (D) and Ohio Senator JD Vance (R) confronted each other in the upper chamber over DOJ nominees that Senator Vance refuses to advance with unanimous consent. Durbin was furious at the blocks JD Vance was putting in front of the Joe Biden nominees for U.S. Attorney and criticized Vance for campaigning on “law and order” while blocking those DOJ nominees advanced by Durbin. In response, Senator Vance delivered remarks promising to block every DOJ nomination as long as Joe Biden continues weaponizing Main Justice and the USAO nominations to target his political opposition.

COLUMBUS, OH - As radical abortion activists promote Issue 1, which would allow abortions up to birth, they have also been targeting churches that are opposing it. Catholic schools, churches and cemeteries across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, for example, have posted in recent weeks that they have been victims of vandalism and attacks. Pro-abortion extremists have stolen, defaced or damages No on Issue 1 signs at pro-life business that are displaying them. And pro-life residents have experienced the same sorta of vandalism of their lawn signs on private residences.[Snip]The article provides a list of 313 worldwide attacks.

DAYTON, OH – On Wednesday, October 25th, Womens Med Dayton, Dayton’s remaining abortion facility, had another ambulance call to 911. The patient was a 33-year old female experiencing bleeding from a “complicated procedure.” This facility performs approximately 61 abortions every week in Montgomery County, according the 2022 annual Ohio Abortion Report.[Snip]“...Year after year, women are hospitalized and babies die at the hands of their abortionists.” “Clearly this is another reason to stop Issue 1. Women need these current protections in place, now more than ever. Why would we allow these facilities to operate without oversight? Ohioans need to protect women by voting NO on Issue 1.” says Christie.

Pascal Najadi, the son of World Economic Forum co-founder Hussain Najadi, called for the arrests of those responsible for the forced COVID-19 “vaccinations” of 5.7 billion people around the world, saying the injections are a bioweapon leading to “democide.”[Snip]“I, as a Swiss citizen, right here now, declare that the WEF is not eligible anymore for diplomatic immunity,” Najadi said. “I call on the Swiss authorities and security to arrest those people immediately. Why?” The WEF, the WHO, GAVI, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Bill Gates all advocated a global humanity injection by a bioweapon, injecting nano lipids into 5.7 billion people.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The inflammatory language targeting a reproductive rights measure on Ohio’s fall ballot is the type of messaging that is common in the closing weeks of a highly contested initiative campaign--warning of “abortion on demand” or “dismemberment of fully conscious children” if voters approve it. Only the messaging isn’t just coming from the anti-abortion groups that oppose the constitutional amendment. It’s being promoted on the official government website of the Republican-controlled Ohio Senate. And because the source is a government website, the messaging is being prioritized in online searches for information about Issue 1,

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Debate Commission in partnership with Spectrum News hosted an hour-long debate on Issue 1 last week, which is now available to stream online and download. Throughout the debate, the Issue 1 opposition repeatedly called out the deceit and fearmongering coming from the groups supporting Issue 1 and demanded answers to the tough questions, including why Issue 1 allows for late-term abortions and eviscerates parental consent laws. The campaign supporting Issue 1 refused to provide these critical answers that Ohioans deserve ahead of Election Day. Highlights from the debate are available to view here.
Comments:
The Ohio amendment renders parental rights null and void. As the author points out, parents are required to sign school documents authorizing medicines, medical procedures, or a clinic/hospital visit to be rendered by a school nurse if their child incurs such a need, but advocates of the amendment preclude the need for parental consent for a dilation and curettage. ~ There is speculation that the amendment is being perceived by some voters as political, a Republican issue, so Democrats will vote to defeat anything Republican. / A moral society will protect and save its children.
