In a famous scene from Game of Thrones, Cersei Lannister is paraded naked down a street while people throw things at her and chant "shame, shame, shame."
While we haven’t quite reached that point yet, the madness on college campuses continues, and recently, a crowd of pro-Palestine demonstrators surrounded a Harvard student on campus and yes, yelled “shame, shame, shame” at him. The incident occurred on October 18, but video footage was only posted on Wednesday.
Watch: The student's crime? He was videotaping them. Which begs the question: Why do all these supposed tough guys (and girls) whine like bratty kids when someone exposes

The Democrats know they really should be killing Republicans in the polls right now, except they aren’t for reasons they seem unable to fully understand. I don’t mean that as an insult of their intelligence. It’s probably closer to the opposite actually. It takes a lot of brain power to create the kind of insulated partisan bubble that many progressive live in these days.
Pamela Paul has a new column for the Times in which she explores the ideas of John Judis and Ruy Teixeira, authors of a new book titled “Where Have All the Democrats Gone?” The gist is that Democrats just aren’t as appealing as they think they are.

Sam Bankman-Fried's parents broke down in court on Thursday night after their son was found guilty of embezzling $10 billion of his clients money, in what the prosecutor said was 'one of the biggest financial frauds in American history.'
Bankman-Fried, 31, now faces up to 115 years in prison.
The fallen crypto king, who founded FTX, was convicted on all seven counts against him. The jury reached their unanimous verdict in less than five hours. Bankman-Fried looked shellshocked as the jurors were polled, then sat down, motionless, starring at his hands in his lap.

I think that Republican voters will understand that as we get closer to voting. Cancer cells hijack normal biological processes, allowing them to multiply. For example, tumors spur construction of new blood vessels, building themselves “highways” to supply nutrients. Researchers have known about cancer’s blood vessel infiltration for decades, but it was only in the past few years that Stanford Medicine scientists and their colleagues discovered that tumors don’t just tap the body’s highway system; they can also infiltrate and exploit its “telecommunications. ”To put it in physiologic terms, tumors don’t just grow blood vessels; they also wire themselves into the nervous system.

Political motives lie not far beneath the surface of everything Congress does. That is appropriate in a democracy. But we expect the House, and especially the Senate, to retain at least some pretense of exercising its powers in the public interest. Instead, the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are abusing its investigatory powers simply to campaign against Leonard Leo and Harlan Crow.
Dick Durbin, Sheldon Whitehouse, and their committee will reportedly vote within the next two weeks to subpoena Leo and Crow, as well as Robin Arkley II, who is targeted over a fishing trip with Justice Samuel Alito 15 years ago.

The Democratic Party is undergoing a civil war over Gaza and Israel. Traditional Democrats like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are pro-Israel. Possibly this has something to do with the fact that American Jews contribute a large portion–last time I saw the numbers, more than half–of all campaign funds for Democratic candidates. To be fair, however, it may also reflect basic human decency.
But the newer generation of Democrats, represented by the Squad, is not impressed. They hate Israel and don’t much like Jews. And the Squad speaks for lots of Democrats: Joe Biden’s approval ratings have fallen among Democrats, apparently because many object to the pro-Israel stance

I am of the opinion, however, that there really aren't enough bad things that can be said about Hamas. Even my extensive cache of epithets might run dry if I let loose on the savages.
Those of us who harshly criticize Islamic terrorist groups are reflexively called "Islamophobic" by leftists who inhabit an alt-reality where suicide bombers are simply misunderstood and the people they blow up probably had it coming to them.

Congratulations, New York Times! Bravo! It has taken 90 years, but you may have finally outdone your support for Joseph Stalin and his Ukrainian genocide. Maybe this coverage will get you another Pulitzer Prize you'll never give back. The Columbia Journalism Review may have to create a new award for "Best Support of 21st Century Genocide." The Politi"fact" frauds in Florida will be forced to find a whole new way to offer "context" for this one. And anti-Semites, from those still hiding in caves to Qatar's terrorist financiers to the nation's Ivy League faculty lounge nests of Jew haters, will applaud your efforts.

In his book “Barack Obama’s Rules for Revolution,” David Horowitz, a New Left movement founder in the 1960s, refers to a member of the radical Students for a Democratic Society who “once wrote, ‘The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.’ In other words the cause – whether inner city blacks or women – is never the real cause, but only an occasion to advance the real cause which is the accumulation of power to make the revolution.” Now apply that to the tussle over man’s impact on the climate and things become much clearer.
In the minds of the climate alarmists, the revolution looks like

There are a myriad of geopolitical interests exploiting the Israeli war against Hamas terrorists. The intelligence operation we noted in Dagestan, Russia, was one small element of a larger dynamic. Here we dig into the geopolitical exploits of China and other interests. Yesterday, a Chinese student at Cornell University in New York was arrested for posting vile death threats against Jewish students. Patrick Dai, age 21, a junior at the university, posted some of the most horrible threats against Jewish students threatening to kill, rape and conduct a mass shooting on the campus. The overarching dynamic, amid many U.S. colleges, has been to support the Hamas terrorists

Several people have pointed out this conversation between Joe Rogan and Twitter owner Elon Musk. There are a couple of interesting aspects to the conversation; one of the more interesting is not generally being noticed.
The primary point, raised by many, is how Elon Musk discusses the scale and scope of U.S. government involvement in the operation of Twitter as an information and discussion platform. Almost all of those making this note are unfamiliar with our multi-year research and outlines long before Elon Musk entered the picture.
As affirmed during the conversation, the FBI and various government agencies, under the auspices of the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS),

When historians review the decline of American judiciary in the 21st century, they may have difficulty evaluating the role of one of its most important figures, Chief Justice John Roberts. His responses to a multitude of challenges have been inconsistent, and at times baffling.
In his 2010 State of the Union Address, President Barack Obama broke the event’s longstanding rules of decorum by hectoring the Supreme Court, six members of which were sitting right in front of him. Obama was peeved by the Court’s recent Citizens United decision, which he alleged would “open the floodgates for special interests -- including foreign corporations -- to spend without limit in our elections."

Republican Sen. John Kennedy (La.) dug into President Biden’s foreign policy on Iran on Tuesday, claiming he would “take away” the president’s car keys if he were his son.
“When I look at President Biden in terms of his international affairs, national security and his domestic policy over the last two years and change — if it were my father, I’d take away his car keys, much less … the entire country, and I think … that’s what most Americans are thinking right now,” Kennedy said in an interview on Fox Business’s “The Bottom Line.”
“And I think that’s why President Biden polls right up there with Bud Light at the moment,"

"Are there HSI special agents who are currently at the border having them pulled away from other cases?" Senator Josh Hawley asked DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas during a senate hearing on Tuesday. (snip)
Hawley, however, had spoken to a whistleblower involved in law enforcement at the border (snip) "She said that they're being taken off fentanyl interdiction, off of child exploitation cases, off of their other investigations into criminals to make sandwiches." (snip)
Hawley said that his source claimed that 600 agents had been pulled from their jobs in order to "babysit" illegal immigrants.

President Joe Biden reportedly became more alarmed about artificial intelligence technology after watching the latest Mission: Impossible movie, starring Tom Cruise.
Biden was spending a weekend at Camp David when he attended a screening of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, according to a report from the Associated Press. The movie’s main villain is an AI bot known as “the Entity” that goes rogue in the opening sequence and sinks a submarine, killing the crew. “A self-learning, truth-eating, digital parasite,” the Simon Pegg character calls it.The plot apparently left an impression on Biden.
“If he hadn’t already been concerned about what could go wrong with AI before that movie,

More of this is needed. Today, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin (D) and Ohio Senator JD Vance (R) confronted each other in the upper chamber over DOJ nominees that Senator Vance refuses to advance with unanimous consent. Durbin was furious at the blocks JD Vance was putting in front of the Joe Biden nominees for U.S. Attorney and criticized Vance for campaigning on “law and order” while blocking those DOJ nominees advanced by Durbin. In response, Senator Vance delivered remarks promising to block every DOJ nomination as long as Joe Biden continues weaponizing Main Justice and the USAO nominations to target his political opposition.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) obtained private communications and other personal records of multiple Republican House and Senate staffers who were investigating the department’s role in the origins of the Russia collusion hoax, according to former senior Trump administration official Kash Patel.
A recently-revealed subpoena shows that the DOJ sought the records for not only Patel when he was an investigator for then-Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), but also those of Jason Foster, who was at the time chief investigative counsel to then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (I-IA) and was also looking into the DOJ’s role in the hoax.

The migrant caravan heading to the U.S. has grown by over by a thousand in just 24 hours, as social media teaches Chinese citizens how to reach the American dream.
Hundreds more have joined the caravan of migrants in Mexico bound north, one of the organizers said, bringing the total number to about 7,000 as the group traveled through the southern state of Chiapas.
Organizer Irineo Mujica said on Tuesday the caravan had swelled since Monday by about 1,000 to more than 7,000 people, although a spokesperson for the Chiapas government said state authorities still estimated its size at around 3,500 participants.

COLUMBUS, OH - As radical abortion activists promote Issue 1, which would allow abortions up to birth, they have also been targeting churches that are opposing it. Catholic schools, churches and cemeteries across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, for example, have posted in recent weeks that they have been victims of vandalism and attacks. Pro-abortion extremists have stolen, defaced or damages No on Issue 1 signs at pro-life business that are displaying them. And pro-life residents have experienced the same sorta of vandalism of their lawn signs on private residences.[Snip]The article provides a list of 313 worldwide attacks.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Tuesday on the Center for Politics podcast “Politics Is Everything” that House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was “dangerous” because he went along with former President Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud in 2020.
Cheney said, “Mike is somebody that I knew well. We were elected together. Our offices were next to each other. Mike is somebody who says that he’s committed to defending the Constitution. But that’s not what he did when we were all tested in the aftermath of the 2020 election.”She continued, “Mike in my experience, and, I was very, deeply involved and engaged as the conference chair,

Cornell University has announced a 'community day' and is set to cancel classes on Friday after a student was caught making threats against Jews on campus.
In an email to the prestigious college's Ithaca and Geneva campuses, university heads said the decision has been made due to 'extraordinary stress' of the recent developments.
'We hope that everyone will use this restorative time to take care of yourselves and reflect on how we can nurture the kind of caring, mutually supportive community that we all value,' the email read.

Tramp cargo ships of murky registration love it when the world’s attention is focused on land-based conflicts. One looks very much like the other – ubiquitous rust buckets of the sea – floating serenely, aimlessly on ill-defined missions between ports. They also, being in such rough condition, could be expected to break down a lot…and so they seem to.
When no one’s looking, they’ll sometimes come to a stop over top of important things lying on the seabed beneath them. Like. for instance, the cables and pipelines that run communications, electricity, or natural gas between countries separated by seawater. In some cases, these are lifelines of one sort or another
