A diversity and inclusion director at Cornell University has come under fire over disturbing social media posts supporting Hamas and dismissing the terror group’s slaughter of innocent civilians as a “resistance.”
Derron Borders, of the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, voiced his support for the Palestinians and criticized Israel following the devastating invasion by Hamas terrorists who killed more than 900 people. “When you hear about Israel this morning and the resistance being launched by Palestinians, remember against all odds Palestinians are fighting for life, dignity, and freedom — alongside others doing the same — against settle colonization, imperialism, capitalism, white supremacy, which the United States is the model,”

HELSINKI - A subsea gas pipeline and a telecommunications cable connecting Finland and Estonia under the Baltic Sea have been damaged in what may have been a deliberate act, the Finnish government said on Tuesday.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said NATO was sharing its information over the damage and stands ready to support the allies concerned. Finland joined the military alliance in April, while Estonia has been a member since 2004.
The Balticconnector gas pipeline was shut early on Sunday on concerns that gas was leaking from a hole in the 77-km (48-mile) pipeline. Finnish operator Gasgrid said it could take months or more to repair.

The families of four American citizens who are missing and may be hostages after last weekend’s terrorist attacks in Israel are calling on the U.S. leaders to take action to locate their loved ones and to work for their release.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Nahar Neta, whose 66-year-old California-born mother Adriene Neta was hauled off by Hamas terrorists on Saturday, said that President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are “responsible to bring the U.S. citizens back home safe and sound. We expect nothing less from the U.S. administration.”

Israel continued to pound Gaza with deadly airstrikes Tuesday, displacing more than 100,000 people and sending waves of injured Palestinians to overwhelmed hospitals, after Hamas threatened to kill civilian hostages and broadcast the executions if airstrikes target Gaza without warning.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had “more or less” secured the border with Gaza, breached on Saturday when Hamas sent fighters pouring into Israeli territory to launch its devastating attack. The IDF said it had recovered the bodies of about 1,500 Hamas fighters inside Israel since Saturday.
Up to 150 hostages are being held in Gaza, complicating the picture as Israel considers how to respond. A huge buildup

Former CIA Director and retired Gen. Michael Hayden seemed to call for the death of Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) Monday night.
Quoting a Twitter post that asked, "Should Tommy Tuberville be removed from his committee? Yes or No?" Hayden wrote, "How about the human race?" Tuberville has been bullied by Senate Democrats and know-nothing pundits since last December over his opposition to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin's creation of an "abortion tourism benefit." As Streiff explained:
In July 2022, Lloyd Austin declared that the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs vs. Jackon Women's Health adversely impacted military readiness because if pregnant members of the Armed Forces couldn't kill their kids, they couldn't

If you thought that the greatest sin committed this weekend was when Palestinian assassins of every stripe walked, drove, and glided into Israel for murder, mayhem, kidnapping, and rape, you’d be wrong.
If you thought watching blissful rave dancers in the gloaming, exuberantly living life and then noticed the ominous…what, like birds? Dark shapes drifting and shifting, coming ever closer, but still out of focus in the sky beyond them.
At last realizing those were Palestinian motorized paragliders with a mass murderer a piece aboard.
Hamas death riders in the sky, like a redone “Red Dawn“……but deadly real.
In hindsight knowing now what they are, you might feel this is one of the most

Debt-saddled Chinese property giant Country Garden said Tuesday that it did not expect to meet all of its offshore payment obligations in time as it edges towards a potential default.
Country Garden — one of China’s biggest property developers — had racked up debts estimated at 1.43 trillion yuan ($196 billion) by the end of 2022.
Its cash flow problems have ignited fears that it could collapse with consequences for China’s economy, which is already suffering from record-high youth unemployment, flagging consumption and a broader crisis in the real estate sector.
Country Garden, which was already formally at risk of default in September, last month repaid $22.5 million in interest

Some people are calling it “Israel’s 9/11.”
That makes sense, in that Hamas’ massacre was a totally unexpected massive terrorist attack with a huge body count of innocent people. Not as many people died as on 9/11 (though proportionately to Israel’s population it was worse than 9/11 was for America).
Because the assault involved shootings, rapes and kidnappings, it seems somehow more personal than the jets of 9/11.
But there’s one way in which it was identical, and that’s the “totally unexpected” part.
Like American intelligence agencies before 9/11, Israel’s security services were caught flat-footed.
Both American and Israeli officials have said it was a complete surprise.

President Biden sat this week for an interview with the special counsel overseeing an investigation into his handling of classified documents from his time as vice president, the White House confirmed Monday.
Biden met Sunday and Monday with special counsel Robert Hur, who was appointed earlier this year to handle the probe into classified documents found at Biden’s home and an old office. “The President has been interviewed as part of the investigation being led by Special Counsel Robert Hur,” spokesperson Ian Sams said in a statement. “The voluntary interview was conducted at the White House over two days, Sunday and Monday, and concluded Monday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a brief update Monday afternoon on Israel's war against Hamas, vowing that "any base from which Hamas operates will turn to rubble."
Netanyahu's speech began with some descriptions of the horrors Hamas inflicted on innocents:
"This war was forced upon us by a dreaded enemy, animals that kill men, women, children, and the elderly. Children handcuffed that were executed with the rest of their families. Young people were shot in the back, executed, and other horrors that I will not describe here."
Netanyahu warned that several Hamas combatants are still within Israel, but that Israeli forces are working around the clock to root them out

Amidst the Israel Defense Forces readying to retaliate against the Hamas terrorist group responsible for launching a surprise attack that has now claimed the lives of 900 people, Hamas's leadership is threatening to kill any hostages taken and release footage of these executions for all to see.
The message was handed down by Hamas Spokesman Abu Obeida, who released an audio recording of the threat.
“From this moment on, we announce that any targeting of innocent civilians without warning will be met — regretfully to say — by executing of the hostages in our custody, and we will be forced to broadcast this execution," said Obeida.

After the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust, Israel has three choices…
First, Israel can do what it’s done in the past, and that’s retaliate until the Jew-hating Christiane Amanpour crowd starts their pressure campaign with words like “disproportionate.” The result will be what it’s been for 50 years… Islamic terror attack after Islamic terror attack against Israeli civilians until another massive attack is brought off.
Second, Israel can follow America’s lead and launch a namby-pamby forever war. Year after year, decade after decade of “humane war” resulting in a humiliating defeat, more dead Israelis and civilians than an all-out war could ever cause.
