Steven Law, the head of the Senate Leadership Fund super PAC and former aide to Mitch McConnell, recently presented poll results that suggested voters are reacting differently to the terms “pro-life” and “pro-choice” in the wake of last year’s Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. Via an NBC News report on the story, in a September 7 interview Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) stated:

Democrats are "pro-baby," "pro-infant," "pro-toddler," "pro-teen" and "pro-young adult," to boot, but for entirely un-holy reasons.

I wish the GOP would just drop the subject of abortion. They're alienating too many women, whom like it or not, don't care much about politics, but get all worked up on women's rights as they perceive it. Women's votes is where the GOP falls short.

I will support a woman’s right to murder her baby when women support a man’s right to murder his wife.
…not reallly.

#2, I am a woman and, if the GOP drops the subject of abortion, I will drop the GOP. My thought about abortion and politics is this - if a politician is on the wrong side of abortion, meaning that he/she supports it, that person is wrong on everything else. The right to life is the basis of EVERYTHING.

How about if the federal level of government stays out of this.

I think pro baby sounds better. Pro life seems antiseptic, biological, Pro baby humanizes it. I'm speaking simply of the impact of words. I'm sure the Dims would be able to undermine the term quickly. The Dims are nothing but manipulators of words. I don't know if we should try to keep up with their antics/get ahead of their antics or just stand our ground and ignore them.

Changing the language to suit stupid people and polls is a very shallow thing to do and doesn't say much for their opinions of us. Both sides do it.
Killing babies is pro choice or womens' health.
Gun control is gun safety legislation.
Government boondoggles is infrastructure investment.
Assault weapons are modern sporting rifles.
Blacks are people of color.
Stupid people are intellectually challenged.
Drug addicts are substance abusers.
The list goes on forever and is very tiresome.

The politicians keep forgetting that at the end of their lives, they will be judged by God.
Pretty sure He does not consult polling data.

pro-baby says what it really is. No one can play with that statement. I say a big YES to changing it to that. We need to start taking back the language.

It makes more sense, as I've never heard of people gathering to have a "fetus" shower.
#6, I understand your position but it plays into why the Democrats push this issue the most - it will minimize the Republican turnout when the candidate isn't totally aligned. And, every person not voting is a good thing for Democrats (whom I presume you have ZERO in common with).
When given a choice of two candidates, we need to ensure we elect those who will at least agree on most issues with compared to the other candidate.
It's about winning, and you can't legislate if you're not in the Majority.

“Pro-Baby” can mean anything they want it to mean. That terminology puts them in charge of deciding. They are weasel words!
Pro-Life is affirmation of the belief that God is the Creator of life, and that we honor Him and the life He created.
Christ is the author of eternal salvation - “And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,” - Hebrews 5:9.
If We The People want to save this country and ourselves, WE must read, study and understand the Holy Book that tells us how that salvation is achieved, and obey it. There is a Rule of Law and a Judge that does not change with polling whims.

#2, whether it’s you or your alter ego harleynyc claiming it, it’s seems odd to imply that someone who “gets all worked up” over women’s rights would refuse to vote for the ticket that promotes saving the innocent lives of 30+ million women since Roe v Wade was enacted and reducing the exploitation of the women forced by embarrassed/angry parents and abusive boyfriends to purée their babies.
Which woman’s rights are protected by a worldview that encourages women are eliminated?

Ain’t that just like Republicans to go after a word rather than the cultural mess we’re in? Always trust a Republican to misalign his focus toward an issue that isn’t even in the top five concerns of Americans right now.

Being Pro-Life does not mean it's only about babies. It's about ALL life. If anyone thinks the Left will stop their culture of death at abortion that's crazy. We have gone from Bill Clinton's "Safe, legal, and rare" terminations in the first trimester to "Abortion on demand," any time, any reason, up until birth in a short 22 years.
Remember Dr. Kevorkian? He was that nutty guy who built his death machine so that "sane" adults could decide to take their own lives. Then came legal assisted suicide, but only for the terminally ill. Now, look at Canada. They even advertise that suicide is a way out of all of your problems. You can call the number in the morning and be dead by dinner time. Young or old, sick or just depressed they will "help."
Infants, the mentally ill, the severely handicapped, or the elderly, they are coming for the people deemed "undesirable." Soon, it will be the most virtuous, compassionate thing we can do as a society to put all of those people out of their misery. Think of the money we could save! Think of the good things we could do! We could get involved in several wars at one time. We have seen this movement several times in the last century.
Pro-life is ALL life from birth until natural death. Changing the name will lead people to thinking the mission has changed. We have far too much work ahead.

I'm fully behind this change in verbiage. Leftists change their language all the time. See where it got them.
