Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm set out on a four-day trip this summer. The trip was to prove the worth of the Biden administration's spending a ton on pushing and "investing" in electric vehicles.
NPR's Camila Domonoske went along on the trip and revealed, "Electric cars have a road trip problem, even for the secretary of energy."
What happened on the trip says everything about the Biden team's delusion and entitlement. The trip revealed immediately that the system is not ready to handle even what they have to deal with now, much less with the number of vehicles that you would have to cope with

As RedState reported, Joe Biden gave a presser for the ages in Vietnam on Sunday. This time, it wasn't just his senility and references to "dog-faced poney soldiers" that raised eyebrows, though.
Instead, the big shocker was seeing Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, walk out to take the mic from Biden mid-sentence, even as he was trying to answer more questions. To make things even more awkward, the president then remained on the stage, rambling away. No one could hear him, though, because of the aforementioned taking of his mic. It was bad. It was really, really bad. It was so bad that even

More than 1,600 scientists, including two Nobel laureates, have signed a declaration saying that "There is no climate emergency." The declaration is unlikely to get any attention from the mainstream media, unfortunately, but it is important for people to know about: the mass climate hysteria and the destruction of the US economy in the name of climate change need to stop.
"Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific," states the declaration signed by the 1,609 scientists, including Nobel laureates John F. Clauser from the US and Ivar Giaever from Norway/US.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Michael White had only recently arrived in a grim Iranian jail when a curious fellow prisoner, an English-speaking Iranian, approached him in the courtyard for a conversation.
The American did not reveal much at first, but it was the beginning of an unlikely friendship between White, a Navy veteran imprisoned on spying charges he says were unfounded, and Mahdi Vatankhah, a young Iranian political activist whose positions on social issues had drawn his government’s ire.
As the men connected behind bars over a shared interest in politics and human rights, they developed a bond that proved vital for both.

Allies of the president reportedly told the New York Times that Joe Biden's "inability to say no" to his son, Hunter Biden, with regard to his business dealings has caused "avoidable political distractions."
The report says that his allies "have privately criticized Mr. Biden’s apparent inability to say no when Hunter sought to pull him into his business dealings."
"Some allies of the president say his loyalty to his son — inviting him to state dinners, flying with him aboard Marine One and standing on the White House balcony with him — has resulted in wholly avoidable political distractions," the report continued.

If it proves to be the case that China has recruited a Briton, who held a coveted job as a researcher in Westminster, as an agent, it represents a significant escalation in Beijing’s intelligence targeting of the UK.
Chinese spying efforts were once focused on the hacking and stealing of intellectual property. More recently there have been signs of a growth in human intelligence efforts, using undercover Chinese nationals in an effort to obtain information.
In 2020, three alleged Chinese agents were quietly expelled by the UK.

It’s been a good summer for climate activists who are pushing the false narrative of “climate change.”
We had the Canadian wildfires with smoke drifting into other parts of North America. Then there were hotter than usual temperatures in many parts of the country (it’s summertime and I predict temperatures will drop this fall, winter and spring, as usual), followed by a devastating fire in Maui, and then Hurricane Idalia.
Never mind that the fires in Canada might have been prevented if environmentalists had not opposed clearing underbrush and removing old trees. The same goes for Maui, along with better management of the fire when it first broke out.

New Mexico governor Michelle Grisham certainly agrees with that viewpoint. Leftists look to FBI statistics to support their arguments—so will you be surprised to learn that the FBI’s statistics are wrong? And, as always, that the error works to support leftist ideology and political positions?

Like millions of Americans, I was at work on 9/11. I was 18 years old, employed at a water facility on Lake Michigan in Chicago.
My coworkers and I gathered around a small television and watched the unthinkable unfold in real time. It was a moment when a country lost its collective innocence. A moment in which we realized things would never be the same. A moment when the promise of eternal sunrise in America looked dim. And now our group, once solely linked by vocation, had something else in common: fear.
Yet despite the national emergency, there was work to be done.

There is a reason the issue of impeaching President Biden has finally come into the spotlight, and it isn’t what you may think. One of life’s pleasures is watching liberalism destroy itself. I rather enjoy it, actually.
In this case, I’m talking about the illegal alien invasion happening at our southern border. Far too many “conservative news” outlets refuse to call it that, opting instead to roll with the words the left have bastardized – calling illegals “migrants.” They aren’t migrants – migrants migrate,

A former editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation has raised “shocking” allegations of plagiarism against President Joe Biden, claiming that he discovered instances of unattributed copying in an essay written by the then-Delaware senator more than two decades ago.
The accusations center around an essay defending the Violence Against Women Act, which Biden penned in 2000 during his tenure as a senator.
Roger Severino, who now serves as the vice president of domestic policy at The Heritage Foundation, took to social media to detail his findings, igniting a fresh controversy.

She is one heartbeat away from the presidency.
Kamala Harris danced and twerked at a backyard barbecue as the world burns.
Joe Biden is overseas making a fool of himself at the G20 Summit and Kamala Harris is partying with rappers. This administration is a joke.
Harris on Saturday hosted a backyard party at the vice president’s residence to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop music. According to pool reports, about 400 people attended the celebration.
“Hip hop is the ultimate American art form,” Harris said. “Born at a back-to-school party in the Bronx, raised on the streets of Philadelphia, Chicago, Oakland, and Atlanta,

The daughter of a senior Lowe's executive died early Saturday after plowing her Porsche supercar into a tree - allegedly while speeding.
Stella Grace Bright, 16, who has a twin sister called Olivia, was driving her 2014 Porsche 911 near Lake Norman, North Carolina when she flew off the road and ended up in a rock landscaping wall, which killed the teen and hospitalized two others in her car.
One of the two passengers was in the back of the Porsche, even though it is a two-seater which is not supposed to hold rear-seat passengers. Bright and the other front seat passenger were both in seat belts.

Former President Donald Trump was the center of attention in the Hawkeye State on Saturday, as the leading GOP candidate for president in 2024 partied with an Iowa State fraternity, flipped burgers, and even threw footballs into the crowd of those gathered to see him.
Iowa State University, based in Ames, Iowa, faced off Saturday against in-state rival University of Iowa, in Ames. Before the game, Trump visited the Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) agriculture fraternity house–where he threw footballs lined up on a beer pong table into the crowd of those gathered to see him. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito rejected calls from Sen. Richard Durbin (D-IL) for his recusal from an upcoming case, saying the partisan Democrat’s argument is legally “unsound.”
Durbin sent a letter to Chief Justice John Roberts on August 3, urging Roberts “to take appropriate steps to ensure” that Alito recused. Alito refused to do so (and there is no indication that Roberts asked him to) and issued a statement explaining his decision.
Alito educated Durbin on the law through his statement, instructing the leftwing Senate Judiciary Committee chairman that “when there is no sound reason for a Justice to recuse,

Joe Biden's Department of Education has opened a civil rights investigation into Christopher Rufo and New College of Florida. The alleged violations cited included "misgendering" and the closing of the school's diversity, equity, and inclusion department.

Rufo shared the news on social media and posted some of the "evidence" being used. In one example, he is accused of "misgendering" the school's former DEI head, Yoleidy Rosario-Hernandez (a biological woman), who claims to go by fake pronouns "ze/zir." Rufo reportedly called her a "her" and a "she."
Also in the complaint is an accusation that Rufo referred to a student who uses "they/them" pronouns as a "her,"

I previously wrote about the FBI raiding the MyPillow guy Mike Lindell last year. You know things are getting a little crazy when they're doing things like that, when they tracked him down in a Hardee's in Minnesota.
That was wild enough. But don't ever question the quality of MyPillow products. Not if you don't want Mike Lindell to let loose.
Lindell was in a deposition in March in a defamation suit being brought by a Dominion employee.
Lindell was already not holding back about the lawsuit during the deposition calling it "frivolous." He also called the lawyer an ambulance chaser.

The first discussion of this moment appeared on Twitter, where several people were caught off guard by how President Trump seemed to become emotional as he discussed our great nation and the damage that is being done to it. From Twitter, the video segment started to be shared and quickly became viral.[Snip]He has the power and favor of the purest truth around him, and he has the support of a grateful nation.[Snip]It is the most remarkable moment in history as one man stands the gap and fearlessly faces down the combined effort of decades of political corruption. It truly is inspiring.

As we reported earlier, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham issued an order on Friday suspending open and concealed carry -- the right to carry guns -- in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days. [Video]
Her excuse for doing away with the Second Amendment, when grilled by the press? She claimed she had powers in the event of an emergency and she was calling this a "public health order." Her response here is pretty crazy. [Video]
No, you don't get to suspend the Constitution for "emergencies."

New Mexico Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's decision to declare a public health emergency and suspend concealed carry gun rights is being condemned on both sides of the political aisle. "I support gun safety laws," California Democrat Congressman Ted Lieu wrote on X, the platform previously called Twitter. "However, this order from the Governor of New Mexico violates the U.S. Constitution. No state in the union can suspend the federal Constitution. There is no such thing as a state public health emergency exception to the U.S. Constitution."
Late Saturday, a gun rights group sued Grisham in federal court, alleging her emergency order is unconstitutional.
