Guy Who Wasn’t Even At The Capitol On
January 6th Gets 22 Years In Prison Anyway

By now everyone acknowledges that the federal government lies to Americans as a matter of course. It’s no longer just the so-called “conspiracy theorists” who think that. Anyone who’s been paying attention over the last couple of decades has come to that conclusion. After COVID, after the recession that wasn’t really a recession because they changed the definition of a recession, after the wars in Iraq and Syria and Afghanistan and Ukraine and so on — there’s no reasonable person left in this country who trusts the federal government on faith, and rightfully so.

After a full year of riots, arson, and looting, actively SUPPORTED and even ENCOURAGED by elected democrats, a few conservative tourists thought that the rules had changed and that they could peacefully walk through the Capitol after the police let them in. Clearly, the rules had only changed for democrats.

Agreed, most, not all thank goodness, republican representatives are strangely silent. Are they bashful, stupid, cowardly, or not really conservatives. The few exceptions are a breath of fresh air in a closed room.

The anti-Trump fix is IN. This is WORSE than the Gestapo … with the Gestapo there was no need to assume that you would be fairly treated because you would not be. In the “Land of the FREE” some might assume fair treatment but too many episodes like Mar-a-Lago have shown America exactly WHAT our government has becomes under the SNIFFER

Two years have gone by and still our supposed "conservative" Republican representatives are silent on the civil rights abuses suffered by the J6 prisoners in the D.C. Gulag and at the hands of the D.C. courts. For decades we have suffered Democrat representatives cry crocodile tears over an array of communists and socialists held in U.S prisons, for real crimes they committed, of which they were convicted with trials under every Constitutional right due them. The silence from Speaker McCarthy and the likes of Rep. Jim Jordan is appalling. Representatives Gaetz and Green spoke out early, but apparently have been recently silenced. Are they even going to let us have an election next year?

Republicans are doing nothing. They are about to propose their first real budget since assuming power in the House and I don't see any repercussions over this travesty in their budget. If this is true, Kevin should be tossed.

What 9/11 Taught Me About Myself — and God 2 replies

Like millions of Americans, I was at work on 9/11. I was 18 years old, employed at a water facility on Lake Michigan in Chicago. My coworkers and I gathered around a small television and watched the unthinkable unfold in real time. It was a moment when a country lost its collective innocence. A moment in which we realized things would never be the same. A moment when the promise of eternal sunrise in America looked dim. And now our group, once solely linked by vocation, had something else in common: fear. Yet despite the national emergency, there was work to be done.

President Biden's press conference abruptly ended on Sunday after a member of his team appeared to announce the end of questions while the president was still speaking to reporters. The president delivered remarks in Hanoi, Vietnam following the G20 summit in New Delhi, India. While the president was answering a question, someone was heard speaking over the president, saying, "thank you everybody," before ending the press conference. The president also said thank you before he started wandering off-stage. CNN reported Sunday that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was the one who ended the president's remarks.

Cassidy said, “Shouldn’t there be transparency? Shouldn’t President Biden release a full neurological evaluation to his cognitive ability and whomever else? You picked a person.” Anchor Chuck Todd said, “It’s one thing if it’s something voters should demand, but is it something that should be in the Constitution?” Cassidy said, “I don’t know if it should be the Constitution, but it certainly should be the House rule.”

Baby boomers and the 'silent generation' are blaming supermarket self-checkouts for increasing loneliness and wiping out one of their last remaining social interactions. When 83-year-old Marliss Myers lost her husband, it was her local Albertsons cashier who provided solace. Workers like Sharon Hechler are determined to maintain that special bond with the elderly, even as almost half of checkout lanes in the US are now automated. 'We all need that human, personal touch,' Hechler told the Los Angeles Times.

To say that this has been the honor and privilege of my lifetime is an understatement,” his final statement began. “This is simply the pinnacle of political journalism — something my younger self never imagined,” he added. To be clear, what Todd does is not journalism — it’s left-wing advocacy and commentary.

There is a reason the issue of impeaching President Biden has finally come into the spotlight, and it isn’t what you may think. The Republicans have neither the spine nor the skills to pull off an impeachment, even with a teed-up softball like this. Democrats want the threat of impeachment without the impeachment itself, but Republicans can call their bluff. I often said I would fear being grilled by Trey Gowdy in a congressional hearing. He was excellent at his job and was brutal in cross-examination. But despite all the information and even drop-dead proof he generated, no one has even been charged, much less brought to justice. More than three million children are set to lose their daycare places when the Government pulls the plug on pandemic-era aid at the end of September. Estimates by The Century Foundation (TCF) suggest as many as 70,000 childcare programs are in danger of closing when the support dries up. Experts warn the crisis could reverse women's gains in the labor market after the number of females in the workforce reached record highs this year. In March 2021, President Biden signed off the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act which ringfenced $24 billion to support childcare centers.

The concept of the state delivering cash payments as reparations to the descendants of enslaved African Americans is opposed by California voters by a 2-to-1 margin, a poll released Sunday reveals. This insight into public reaction to offers of cash settlements shows difficulties await state lawmakers when they begin to consider the idea already flagged for action next year. The UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll, co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, found some 59 percent of voters oppose cash payments compared with 28 percent who support the idea. The lack of support for cash reparations was resounding, with more than four in ten voters “strongly” opposed.

The Ladies of the View suggested on Friday that migrants should be 'resettled elsewhere' because America is a 'massive country' while discussing their disappointment with Mayor Eric Adams's handling of the crisis faced by New York City. NYC Mayor Eric Adams warned earlier this week that the 10,000 illegal asylum seekers arriving every month will 'destroy' the city. It is a stark shift for the mayor, who promised while campaigning that NYC would remain a sanctuary city under an Adams administration, saying in 2021, 'We should protect our immigrants. Period.'
