American Thinker, by Clarice Feldman Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/12/2025 6:58:45 AM That’s how Victor David Hanson describes this week’s catastrophic wildfires in California.
“It was a total systems collapse from the idea of not spending money on irrigation, storage, water, fire prevention and forest management, a viable insurance industry, a DEI hierarchy, you put it all together and it's something like a DEI Green New Deal hydrogen bomb… Gavin Newsom was fiddling, he's almost Nero Newsom. And this has been something that is just unimaginable… The systems breakdown. And to finish, what we're seeing in California is a state with 40 million people. And yet the people who run it feel that it should return to a 19th century pastoral
American Thinker, by Peter Barry Chowka Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/11/2025 11:23:57 AM I was surprised, if not shocked, when two A-list celebrities, country singers Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood, took the microphones at the State Funeral for Jimmy Carter yesterday and began performing “Imagine,” written by former Beatle John Lennon in 1971. The song is widely described as an “atheistic anthem” and incredibly is said to be one of the late 39th president’s favorite songs. "Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try.
No hell below us
Above us, only sky. . .
Imagine all the people
Livin’ for today
Ah
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too"
To me, it sounds like a globalist woke anthem
Red State, by Nick Arama Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/11/2025 9:07:00 AM Ten days until Joe Biden is finally out the door and we no longer have to deal with him anymore.
On Friday, he truly was on a bizarre tear. As we reported earlier, he had a call with California Gov. Gavin Newsom where he denied there was any problem with the fire hydrants. Newsom told him they had to do something about "misinformation" on the fires. "Misinformation" -- as in, how dare anyone call out Newsom's failures?
But Biden wasn't done yet with the crazy. He took some questions after making remarks about the economy. That's when he seemed to get confused. He said he stepped aside to unify the party.
Outkick, by BobBurack Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/11/2025 7:54:02 AM In tears, actor James Woods detailed the moment he learned his Pacific Palisades home burned in the Southern California fires that continue to devastate parts of Los Angeles in an interview with CNN Wednesday morning.
"One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone," Woods told anchor Pamela Brown on Wednesday while repeatedly choking up. Woods then recounted his evacuation and how he helped rescue his 94-year-old neighbor, who has dementia.
"He’d been left alone," Woods added. "There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us." (X) Keith Olbermann is glad. But not because Woods saved an elderly man
PJ Media, by Stephen Kruiser Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/10/2025 9:16:05 AM As everyone knows, one of the Democrats' main guiding principles is Rahm Emanuel's infamous line, "Never let a crisis go to waste." The Dems' overwhelming Number One guiding principle, however, is, "Never let a crisis go without reminding everyone that you're a loathsome human being."
The Climate Church dullards are an international embarrassment whose only real skill is the ability to move goal posts in order to help them sell their latest load of ideological horse dung. It is a movement devoid of any intellectual rigor because they constantly just make up the rules as they go. Whenever it is pointed out that they were wrong about something,
Breitbart, by Sean Moran Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/9/2025 11:57:56 AM The Biden administration has pushed a regulation that would effectively ban cigarettes on the market as tobacco users have flocked to Trump during the 2024 presidential election.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is finalizing a rule that would lower the levels of nicotine to lower the potential addictiveness of the tobacco products.
While Biden administrators believe it may attempt to reduce tobacco use, others believe that it may only boost criminals’ money by incentivizing a black market for cigarettes.
“Biden’s ban is a gift with a bow and balloons to organized crime cartels with it, whether it’s cartels, Chinese organized crime, or Russian mafia. It’s going to keep America
Power Line, by Scott Johnson Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/9/2025 10:26:14 AM Susan Page was granted what was to be a 45-minute interview by our outgoing alleged president who cannot shuffle off the stage fast enough. The interview is pathetically unilluminating. Page’s story on it is here along with a transcript here.
Biden shows no awareness of his present incapacity and Page isn’t inclined to press him on it. This was the best she could do: “Do you think you would’ve had the vigor to serve another four years in office?” Given the time Biden has spent on vacation over the past four years, this must be a some kind of a joke.
Biden responds:
"I don’t know. That’s why I thought when I
American Thinker, by Janet Levy Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/7/2025 10:32:09 AM On Sunday, December 22, President-elect Donald Trump reiterated his desire for America to take control of Greenland, saying it is an “absolute necessity.” The very next day, Greenland’s prime minister, Mute Egede, said the autonomous island, part of the Danish kingdom, was not for sale. But Trump’s plan—like that of William H. Seward, who, as secretary of state, oversaw the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867—is not without tremendous geopolitical advantage to America.
It’s all about gaining greater American control over the Arctic, where Russia and China are cooperating to build a strong presence. Fears that such cooperation will extend to include North Korea and Iran are not unfounded.
Legal Insurrection, by Leslie Eastman Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/7/2025 9:31:57 AM Bubonic plague is a severe infectious and potentially fatal disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. It is the most common form of plague and is primarily spread through the bite of infected fleas that typically live on rodents.
The disease, also known infamously as the Black Death, ravaged Europe from 1347 to 1351, causing between 75 million and 200 million deaths (which included about 50% of the total population in Europe at the time). Those horrifying numbers still grip the imagination.
Now, in an intriguing development, COVID-19 vaccine scientists have developed a new shot that would protect against Yersinia pestis infections.
American Thinker, by Monica Showalter Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/6/2025 8:23:24 PM The reports sound pretty wild out there but some, on places such as X, say President Trump is flying to Greenland tomorrow.
I still haven't seen any confirmation after several hours of watching, so it might be eager beavers jumping the gun. However, it does seem pretty clear that Don Trump, Jr., Trump's oldest son, is making the trip -- and will hop off his plane tomorrow.
According to Euractiv, a pan-European news site that is owned by the Brussels-based Mediahuis:
Donald Trump Jr travelled to Greenland on Monday amid his father’s renewed interest in “ownership” of the island, and days after the leader of the autonomous territory of Denmark issued a push
Power Line, by Scott Johnson Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/5/2025 3:04:17 PM I’m not sure that mass murderers Nidal Hasan and Shamsud-Din Jabbar are not more deserving of Presidential Medals of Freedom than George Soros. With the award to Soros, Biden has gone unspeakably low. E.E. Cummings (e.e. cummings) asked in one of his poems: “how numb can an unworld get?” He answered: “number.” By the same token, we might ask, “How low can an unpresident go?” Answer: I’m afraid we will find out before January 20 if we haven’t already.
Vice president-elect J.D. Vance is thinking along the same lines. (X) Soros was “in good company,” of course. (X) So let it be written. So let it be done.
Power Line, by John Hinderaker Original Article Posted by Hazymac — 1/5/2025 7:30:30 AM We can’t be sure, since his alleged presidency still has 16 days to go. But Biden’s awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros is likely to stand as his final insult to America.
In honoring Soros, Biden said:
“Born into a Jewish family in Hungary, George Soros escaped Nazi occupation to build a life of freedom for himself and countless others around the world,” reads the Soros citation.
Soros has been a relentless enemy of freedom throughout his adult life.
“His inspiring generosity reminds us all of our capacity and our obligation to stand up to the abuse of power and to be guardians of democracy and all people yearning to be
