If, like me, you find the presidential debate format a rather meaningless exercise, you will be astonished at what one-on-one interviews by a skilled interrogator can accomplish.
At the Iowa family Leader conference, Tucker Carlson interviewed several leading contenders for president Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis.
If the participants thought this was going to be another tongue bath, they were certainly surprised. He asked hard questions and some of their answers exposed their muddled thinking. At least two of them – Asa Hutchinson and Mike Pence -- were clear losers

The investigation into the origin of the cocaine found in the White House was “the best” the Secret Service could do, despite not identifying a suspect, a top Biden administration official says.
John Kirby, the coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, told Fox News host Shannon Bream on “Fox News Sunday” that at the end of the probe, there wasn’t enough “forensic evidence” to pinpoint the perpetrator. On July 2, a bag of cocaine was discovered in a lobby of the West Wing.

Media mogul Barry Diller suggested that Hollywood's top-earning actors and executives take a 25 percent pay cut as he warns of a devastating collapse for the industry if the SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes are not settled soon.
The former Paramount and 20th Century Fox CEO, who is now the head of the media conglomerate IAC, appeared on CBS' Face the Nation on Sunday, where he weighed in on the issues that he called a 'perfect storm.'
'Everybody's probably overpaid at the top end,' Diller said. 'The one idea I had is to say, as a good faith measure, both the executives and the most-paid actors should take

The supporters of former President Trump are absolutely correct about one thing. If every single Republican pledged their allegiance to him and fell in line he’d win the nomination easily. But he’d also lose the general election, again. He does not receive enough support from outside the traditional Republican and MAGA base to win in 2024.
Hillary Clinton beat Trump by roughly 3 million in the popular vote in 2016. While Trump indeed did win the election by taking the required 270 electoral votes, just a few thousand votes in each of the key swing states would have changed that outcome into a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.

FBI Whistleblower Kyle Seraphin isn’t impressed by Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s recent attacks on his credibility during a recent hearing in DC.
In a Saturday phone call, Seraphin is looking to correct the record after Rep. Jackson Lee “inarticulately stated” that he is looking to compensate fellow whistleblowers from the widely criticized Federal Bureau of Investigation as part of a “quid pro quo” arrangement.
“She’s not intelligent,” Seraphin states bluntly.
Jackson’s attacks on Seraphin and the other FBI whistleblowers came during a Wednesday hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

On Friday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “The Record,” Harvard Law Professor Emeritus and Newsmax Legal Analyst Alan Dershowitz said that the bad behavior of universities is a large driver of student loan debt and even said his own institution has engaged in the same behavior and is “like a mega-corporation and the tuition reflects it.”
After host Greta Van Susteren said that she finds “universities, sometimes, reprehensible.” Dershowitz responded, “Oh, they are.”He added, “When I started teaching at Harvard in 1964, we had essentially a couple of buildings, a few secretaries and administrators. Now, it’s like a mega-corporation

This week the Biden White House closed its short-lived investigation into finding the culprit who brought cocaine into the West Wing of the president’s corridors- despite the Secret Service declining to interview over 500 suspects. Speculation has swirled around who may be guilty, with many suggesting President Joe Biden’s drug and prostitute-addicted son Hunter Biden may be at fault.
Investigative reporter Paul Sperry made several observations about Hunter’s booze-filled days— which apparently aren’t over.
Sperry detailed Hunter’s failed rehab stints which reportedly started in 2003, relapsing at least ten times.

Homeless encampments are back in Venice Beach - after nearly 200 people were cleared from the iconic boardwalk last summer.
Almost a year later, footage from the Los Angeles town show dozens of tents back up, and some 120 vagrants overtaking the beach once again.
Residents are now complaining about a renewed stream of garbage littering the promenade, as well as elaborate processions erected by individuals camping outside. For residents of the area, the issue is a recurring one - after the pandemic presented a plethora of challenges including several still-prevailing housing crisis.

A federal judge in Oregon ruled on Friday that a new state gun law does not violate the US Constitution, keeping one of the toughest gun laws in the country in place.
US District Court Judge Karin Immergut ruled that Ballot Measure 114’s restrictions on large-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds are constitutional because these magazines are “not commonly used for self-defense, and are therefore not protected by the Second Amendment.”
“Even if LCMs are protected by the Second Amendment, BM 114’s restrictions are consistent with this Nation’s history and tradition of regulating uniquely dangerous features of weapons and firearms to protect public safety,” the ruling said.

We’ve seen how companies like Bud Light and Target have taken a severe hit for the various ways in which they have bought into the woke mind virus. Bud Light has now even been hit by the Costco “Death Star,” which means they’re in deep trouble.
Speaking of trouble, let’s look at Disney.
A week ago, I wrote about how Disney had lost almost a billion dollars by going woke on some of their recent films. Megyn Kelly laid out some of that evidence showing that we’re winning against the woke when it comes to Disney, too. She explained how they lost about $900 million

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis cut staff from his 2024 presidential campaign as he struggles both in fundraising and gaining traction in 2024 Republican primary polls against former President Donald Trump. DeSantis' campaign cut less than 10 staffers last week, people familiar with the matter told Politico and The New York Times. This is roughly 10% of his campaign staff in the second quarter, when he spent more than $1 million on payroll, insurance and related fees for about 90 staffers.
